My girlfriend is very very silly, I rented that apartment for her before I lost my job, I bought everything in that house, I was leaving in my company apartment so when I was sacked they took everything including my car cause I had no personal car of my own then I had to put up with my girlfriend for the time and her attitude has been so shitty, can you believe this girl asked me to wash plate and clean the house when she is off to work ,and if I don’t she will nag and give me the insults of my life , I will just ignore . Sometimes I have to go put up with my friends or pay for a cheap hotel just to have my peace and I don’t my friends to know my predicament until I sort myself out. So yesterday she was on one long call and as soon as she was done she just entered the kitchen and came out asking me to go wash the plate, I ignored her and she repeated it, I ignored her and the next thing was that she went into the kitchen and got one of the plate with water and there it at me , I went mad and beat her almost to death , ended up rushing her to the hospital and she is still here now .
Bom I have paid her hospital bills but I am planing on kicking her out of this house since I paid the rent and the landlord knows me well, I paid in her name tho but they take instructions from me, even the gate man knows I am her man and I charge .
I am done with the relationship now I know she was in it just for the benefit, it not even up to 6 months I lost my job and she is acting stupid .
What do u all suggest ? I know o will be fine .

I can relate. One masquerade jumped atop my saloon car bonnet in December. The spirit inside was obviously drunk, because I simply stopped and waited for the masquerade to finish and leave, the idiot jumped ontop of my bonnet and as God may have it, he fell backwards and landed with his medulla. Everyone noticed I wasn't even moving, so i couldn't be held responsible, they dragged the idiot out of my way and i drove off. The dent on the bonnet is still there.

Why should Walters case be different. The man is contesting his removal on merit, what is wrong with that? You want him to resign so people will say he has admitted to that allegation? Which future opportunities? He has reached the zenith of his professional career. I love the fact he wants to deal with this accusations on its merit. If he resigns, the intention of his opponents would have been achieved. Let him go through the process and either clear his name or be bloodied. There is nothing more to loose anyway.

Plus he may, on going down, take a few others with him. Is it not curious that those who wanted to skin him alive are proposing soft landing for him? He should go down fighting, that's what a real man does.

But i don't think 'trapped' is the right word. Yeah it's a terrible place to be in some aspects but not in all. I had an opportunity to relocate to Canada years back but i guess I was wrongly advised. I have since chosen to remain here and make the best of a not too good environment. I still travel abroad occasionally and may be tempted to retire to the west when I have made enough money to buy an apartment building, perhaps in London.

I had some huge backlog of about 160k. After several meetings and consultations that yielded no positive result, i cleared that amount. Then started paying 5k every month. My bill hovers around 3 to 4k every month.

I pay straight to ikeja electric company online, and sometimes I chat with them online. I get my bills online and like I stated earlier, the bill shows i am on positive and i put it outside my gate. Sometimes I print out the chat i had with their people online. In those chats i ask specific questions that elicit answers that clears all doubts. I have not had any interface with the rogues carrying ladder and they don't bother with my house again. When i print out the bills and my conversation on chat, i staple them all together but i circle the areas that support my position. In the chat i ask questions like, how much was my last month's bill, have you seen the amount I just paid online, what is now my current balance, once they say it's a credit of Nx. I print that out and attach to the online bill which I have already printed and leave it outside. Interestingly the phcn staff no longer even bother to check.

Meanwhile when you pay online, receipts are generated and you can print that out. I usually print and attach to the bill they generated. When we did not have light for like 2 weeks, i also had that conversation online and they assured that there will be no billing for those weeks and it seems my bill dropped for that period.

Giving consumers exorbitant bills and at the same time bombarding them with disconnection can be heartbreaking.

But that doesn't give the consumer any right to harass or beat the power officials.

Everyone should take the steps I have taken. I pay in advance online. They have since recognised that I don't even wait for bills, so they don't bother with me anymore. Even when the bills come I always have a positive balance on my account, pending when I get the pay as you go meter which by the way they deliberately don't want to share
