eGuerrilla: Nigeria has been moving in the right direction for some time now, thanks in no small measure to the tightening of loopholes by the CBN.

Improving Global AML/CFT Compliance: On-going process - 21 June 2013
CBN and all the other regulators of non bank financial services have done very well. As a Chief Compliance Officer of my organization , I know the level of requirement we were subjected in AML/CFT compliance. I am only hoping that this legal regime will be sustained to ensure we do not relapse.

simpleseyi: Weldone guys, more grease to your elbows. Pls send me your phone numbers so that I can send you recharge cards to call the family for the ransome. I beg, no listen to stories of no money ooo. This family is very very rich, one of the top 10 richest looters in Nigeria. I beg, asking price should be 10 billion naira. Remember that their father and IBB embezzled the 12 billion dollars Gulf oil money.
So when will your guys start kidnapping the Babangidas? That is when the game will start making sense. And please when you do, take all the looting into consideration including the oil windfall that has not been accounted for and the cost of the mansion at IBBs home.

Niggmatic: eeyaah.. We actually need effective and efficient fire service, possibly with state of the art equipment located close to all major and big markets not excluding industrial estates. For how long shall we keep loosing millions to negligence? Let Nigeria: government be proactive for once. Haba
And to make matters worse those guys do not believe in insurance. Its so hard when you have to bear the total brunt of a huge loss. May God encourage them. I trust my people, from the ashes they will rise again to become greater.

Aunty why are u this vexed? Are u a defender of the ethnic group or did the guy touch a sore nerve? By the way, I don't think infidelity remains a hallmark of only the yorubas. All groups get entangled and I am Igbo. We have some of them where I come from but it appears more pronounced here in the west as you have many more willing givers and takers of the down below thingy.

They have so brainwashed you guys into interpreting everything as judgment. Even a fair critism is judgmental. I pity Una.. This is how the COZA guy carry babe go knack and some mumus were here saying thou shalt not judge, touch not my prophet.......

The truth of religion being an opium of the masses is particularly true in Nigeria. I am for the avoidance of doubt a firm be liver, just that I am practical.

I had always respected your understanding of the English language, I still do. I want to see this as an error of comprehension with the best of intents. A wonderful evening to you

dustydee: Now go back and read his post again and apologize to him. He never stated that he is a politician. He meant he provides the basic amenities for himself.
@Justwise . . same goes for you too.
Thanks bro. Blessed will be the day when we see others as selfless and deceit less as we presume in our imaginations. There are still people here who work hard to make a living, our infrastructure may not be as good as what is obtainable in the west but we believe that there is a silver.lining out there. It may take time, but it will surely come to pass. UK colonized America, I hope I am right and America is upwards of 200 years of independence. Nigeria got independence in 1960, our rulers may not be doing well but the environment and will power will change things for the better. You may choose what to believe.

Considering you made no point, I consider your post a figment of your warped imagination and not deserving of a response. Have a wonderful evening.

Stegomiah: Mr local government chairman, please answer the questions below;
1. Whose money are you using to do those things aforementioned?
Definately not your own hard earned money cos you are a politician and we all know politicians are theives

2.You are wise enough to state what u've done for your community which i do commend only if it were true, kindly state the local government where you are serving and if possible your name, so we can confirm.

3.Stats don't lie, over 80% of Nigerian youths wants to leave this country cos of your failure, you said you are fixing lights, do residents enjoy 24hrs light in your area? How good is the road? water supply? Education? Job opportunities?... In your community and Nigeria at large?

If you follow this thread you'll know better that no one is trying to preach another man's land, no one will desire to leave nigeria if it is well developed enough, naija is a failed country. Since i was born, even before i was born we've not been able to acheive the primary things like good roads, electricity, quality education, good leadership...
Its still this same thing our politicians preaches when campaigning, same they will preach come 2015, a country with no realistic hope for the younger generations, many corpers released into the labour market with no realistic employment, cos we have a failed leadership, and you are part of them if your claims are true, and you have the guts to brag of your various sojourn to europe here. Next time before you type think with your brain, but what will you expect from someone whose IQ is the same as his shoe size?

Stegomiah: well said, but it could be either way, you just pointed that out, twill be better if he can clearify himself. By default, it means he is the LG's chairman, the other meaning can be better constructed.

The bolded is a lie, most? Nigeria would have been better than what we have now
Thank you sir. Good to know there are people who can still read and comprehend. I am neithera politician nor have I ever held a political office. Indeed I have only voted once in my lifetime as an SUG officer and even then I voted only for myself as a welfare officer. As for the vilification from the rest of the posters, its welcome. I trained as a lawyer and that is all I have known how to do in my career. Again thanks for having a good head.

If the thread is not for you why don't you buzz off
Believe me there are people here who would snap your thieving neck if they could lay their hands on your tolotolo neck
Ewu
Don't make me keep my Bible one side and dip into my bag of disgust for politricksians and descend on you

It is people like you that are making these youths seek alternatives
Why are Nigerians dying from snake bites and heat stroke and turning to okporoko in the sahara desert just to get to morocco?
Why are our women doing ashawo in Togo and Ivory Coast to support their aged parents at home
Don't let me descend on you right now
Thanks . I don't hurl insults and abuses. I don't know anything about the people you are trying to describe but if u read my post which I believe was written in everyday english, you will realize that all I said was that you were working so hard to convince people to come over when I know for a certainty that people are making it back home. Now if you have issues with that, deal with it. I will not descend to the level of throwing mudslings and gutter language with you. Perhaps that is part of your American orientation which is why I refuse to be sucked up . As for people wishing to go through the Sahara desert, its their choice and as for praying for me for evil to befall me, please I beg of you to try. The America you so praise will bring up a bum that will put a hole in your head. In God I trust every other ranting ant we suspect and deal with as a spy and an agent. Again I hope you are not one.

The two of you are raving mad. I graduated from Unical In Nigeria, I have lived and worked here all my life, the few occasions i have had the desire to travel, i have come out there (UK not US oo) to spend money riding on the back of my sponsors, my Company. I have no plans of trying to confirm how right or wrong either of you are. You failed here and you relocated. I want to prove a point to you guys, that you can sure make it here if you are focused and work hard enough.

For the records, i do not live in Lekki, but i stay in my personal house here in Lagos and it is standard by any yardstick. I do admit that I am my own Local Governemnt Chairman, providing water, light and security and even contributing alongside my neighbours to fix my street. I have houses both in the village and a few of the metropolitan cities in Nigeria (including Abuja). You guys should quit trying to lure us over. Whomsoever wishes to travel can do so and whomsoever wishes to stay back here and make ends meet will surely succeed with hardwork. Stop painting another man's country with white or black paint, some of us dont give a flying fork.

make una carry una wahala commot here. US is just another country where i am sure you either survive or die. Perhaps you are both corect on your assumptions and reasoning, but i am irked at the level of effort you are both putting to convice people. Are you paid agents?

All these na stories. I believe in the legal cliche that it is best for 9 criminals to go free than one innocent person to be punished. Having said that, much as i pray that such a thing should not befall my blood, but honestly if it ever happened to my full blood, i will not do anything for a long time, say between 7-10 years, but i will personally take out the Aluu monarch, and everything coming from his loins.

Some stupid sister in the Uni spilt beans on some dawgs i used to know, nothing happened to her after those guys were rusticated. She got a job, and after like 5 years she settled down to marry. She was taken out on her wedding day while gloriously dressed in her veil.

Morale: Do not go to bed angry, stay awake and plan your revenge and when you hit, make it hurt and lasting.....

The Monarch and most Aluu indigenes would be killed BY ME over a period of time. Thank God for their sake I am not involved.

I take KARMA in my hands....

Bros, I do minimum 160km/h between Okada and Benin by pass and maintain that speed till i get to Agbor. Its a better risk than being kidnapped. I am not joking here, believe me
Car Talk › Re: How Does One Control A Car When Front Tyre Blows Out On High Speed? by hardbody: 2:54pm On Oct 17, 2013
The back tyre of my SUV exploded on the last stretch to Agbor from Onitsha, i honestly do not remember how i managed to pull the vehicle over to the extreme right lane (it is a dual carriageway anyways) but one thing is sure, it is so easy to say, do not go near the brakes in the event of a blow out, but sincerely speaking, i do not recall whether i immediately remembered not to match on the brakes or not, i however recall holding firmly onto the steering and after a bitter struggle, manouvered off the road. The most interesting thing to me was that not even vehicles behind me cared to stop, they saw the accident, and simply drove on.

I have since learnt that you are always on your own in matters of life and death. I could not change the spare, so i paid some guys painting the road demarcation to bike into Agbor town, get a vulcanizer who came and changed the spare and i drove on safely into Lagos. To God be the Glory.

In all, I pray it never happens either to me again or to my enemy. I often shudder to think of it happening while descending a hill, crossing all those bridges with no railings, etc

As for the post, I honestly do not know what is intended for us to gain. That Nigeria is a failed state is no longer the news , the issue now is what are we doing as the new generation to try and rectify these anomalies and put our dear country in a better pedestel to achieve greater heights
