Why won't there be killings in Rivers state when politicians empowered the youths with guns instead of employment and infrastructural developments. If you want to see greed in the highest form then come to the south south,especially Rivers State where chiefs,kings and politicians amass wealth meant for the community and the citizens.
This trend has brought so much conflicts and destructions in most local governments of River state.

You hardly see any community that is at peace because of oil royalties controlled by a few individuals and this always cause resentment among people of this communities.

Government of Rivers state should as a matter of urgency work with security agencies and other stake holders to tackle this incessant killings in the state to forestall a total break down of law and order

Teachers are trained. It is not every Tom,Dick and Susan is good to be a teacher,hence the need for constant training to acquire skills on how to handle situations like this one.
Its so unfortunate that you can be a teacher so far you can rule a line on the board,even minders are teachers in some schools.There is no regulations therefore anything goes.

Teachers training institutes are a place where people who wants to be professional are trained.
The teacher could have handled such situation by either cracking a joke, or even petting the pupil into doing whatever is asked of he or she. Using such strong word can have adverse effect on the child in the long run.

Lastly,in my opinion, suspension would have been more appropriate than termination just to please the parents of the child.

Rivers State is owing hundreds of billions in loan under two years since this wicked man took office.

Back to topic; It is a shame that the Nigeria judicial system is so rotten and useless. Laws are quickly interpreted with ease when a poor person commits a crime.

While the politicians who stole from the state walk freely,the poor bear the brunt of law where so called justice is meted on them without mercy.
Just last week a young man was sentenced to death by hanging for robbing someone of a Samsung android phone but Andrew Yakubu was granted bail of 500 mil and that is the end of the case.
If you have a case and have money to bribe judicial officials,then you don't have any thing to worry about.

In Nigeria,Judges are fantastically corrupt.

Though I don't support this act but I smell lies from the DPO. He is looking for scape goat for quick promotion.The man said he was arrested as he alighted from the motorcycle that brought him to station while police is claiming he tried to bribe them with 500k.
Think again, police can lie just to look as if they are doing a perfect job. Police do frame people with guns and brand them armed robbers after torturing them to admit crimes they didn't commit.


Police is known for lies,frame up,torture,extra judicial killings,murder,daylight robbery.... just name it.
Police is never and can never be your friend.

Although he went to the extreme but let's also look at what the content of that letter can do to him. Men and women find themselves in this situation if extreme care is not taken when jilted in a relationship where the love is one sided. They can also resort to violence against the other person which could result to body harm or even death.
Some people will just comment because they want to talk but you won't understand if you have never been in this kind of situation before.

He should have moved on and find another love or fall in love with what he enjoys doing.That way we avoid depression.
