I know this specie of snake,Its harmless unless you threatened him and mostly move in the night.
It once struck my aunt who stepped on it at night. She was treated locally but was warned by the herbalist to watch out same time and same place after seven days that the snake will come back.
Even though many people doubted him but waited with sticks and machetes when suddenly the snake crept slowly to that same position at same hour on the seventh day. It was killed.
