Pastor Donates Life-Saving Kidney to Ailing Congregant.A Christian man who had been praying for relief from end stage renal disease since 2015 recently got a life-saving answer from his pastor who turned out to be a matching kidney donor after God told him to give his ailing congregant one of his own organs.End stage renal disease is the final stage of chronic kidney disease where the kidneys of those afflicted don’t work well enough for them to live without dialysis or a kidney transplant.In a narrative on fundraising website GoFundMe, Jesse Cerecerez, a longtime member of Holy Ground Baptist Church in Cameron, Texas, explained how his life changed after he was diagnosed with kidney disease.“In April of 2015 I was diagnosed with E.S.R.D. (End Stage Renal Disease) my doctor told me that my kidneys had failed. I started dialysis treatments on May 5, 2015, and that has changed my life forever. Dialysis is a rough lifestyle to live. I felt as if all my freedoms were taken away from me. These last two years have been really hard. I take dialysis three times a week. Every day I have been praying for a miracle in my life,” Cerecerez wrote.Without even knowing if he was a suitable matching donor, Cerecerez said his pastor, Basillio Montez Jr., told him last fall that God asked him to donate one of his kidneys. Eightmonths after Montez made his anointed offer, medical professionals determined he was a suitable matching kidneydonor for Cerecerez.“About eight months ago Pastor Basillio and his wife came to visit me. During his visit he explained that God had impressed in his heart to donate a kidney to me. I was shocked and excited all at once. So he went and got tested, and he’s a match,” Cerecerez revealed in late May.On June 16, two days before Father’s Day, Cerecerez went on to have a successful kidney transplant and he shared how grateful he was on his Facebook page.“So on this Father’s Day weekend I’m in the hospital. This past Friday I was given thegift of life by my pastor. I am forever grateful! Thank you pastor for allowing God to use you in this mighty way of donating your kidney to me. Love you pastor!” he wrote.Both men are now recovering. A day after the surgery, Cerecerez was already jesting in good spirits.“So now that I received my pastor’s kidney, he tells me I’m a Cowboy fan! Lol Dang it!” he quipped.“I got my life back and I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for me,” he told 11 Alivein an interview Monday.Pastor Montez Jr. explained that even though he was fulfilled in his normal duties as a pastor it was a special honor to be called to save a life.“We praise God for everything that God has been doing,” he said. “For the healing that he’s been giving us and always for his honor and his glory.” |

Nyesom Wike is too troublesome and unfit to be a governor. Everybody knows how he bribed his way through Gesilia Khan INEC to get to that position. What Rivers state needs is peace and development like Lagos state,not wasting of precious time and resources fighting his political enemies. Wike should concentrate on infrastructural development to match what Amaechi did in Rivers State,curb cultism and insecurity and pay salary areas and pensioners. |

People can be easily deceived especially when you give them that which they lack.Mr Kanu capitalized on the absence of leadership in Igbo land and had his way into the people's hearth with propaganda and hate speech while agitating for Biafra,a state that was vanquished over 40 years ago. This agitation if allowed to continue will balkanized this country and it will be to no advantage of any region because every region has what the other needs to survive. The people of the south east may even be the losers because 90% of their businesses are outside the region.They are also scattered across all states and have a limited land space. They should rather re strategize and become major players in Nigeria politics rather than pulling out.Restructuring should be the way out. Kanu and his Ipob should discontinue this macabre dance that will only lead to destruction and re negotiate their stake in Nigerian state. |

What kind of a man is this biko nu? He talks too much like a parrot. Anyway,why wait till six months before declaring your Oduduwa after Biafra declaration eehn? The same this Awolowo did and deceived the then Biafra military authority and was released from Calabar prison where he was locked up for treason.After his release he went back to the West as a hero and aligned with the Nigerian government to carry out blockade that saw millions of women and children to early grave. I agree with you about the dress mode of the Zulus.But society is dynamic as such you don't wear animal skin as clothing nighter do you go to your office bare chested.Some dressings should be limited to certain occasion like a cultural display but not in a metropolitan settings. |

What I know is that 90% of the South east Igbo people will disagree for disintegration when asked privately. This people are scattered all over the country and beyond like no other tribe, with major business investments and homes built outside their region where they have been integrated into.It is never in their best interest for them to pull out now. Biafra would have been best achieved in the late 60s,not now. Also considering that their population is more than the land mass,the Niger Delta also will never join them thereby limiting their resources to survive as a country. The only ones shouting this Biafra are mainly artisans and market men and women as those who have invested heavily in other regions stay away from the so called Biafra. Nnamdi kanu should stop deceiving the ordinary Igbos and ask for something that can be achieved and beneficial to his people. Let everyone region sit down and talk to resolve issues. Never again shall we witness the ugly events of 1967-70. |
