Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by Hausa(m): 1:42pm On Mar 31, 2020
Olabowa:
If you don't, you will be marked down for 'missing content'. The rep repeated it for clarification, so must you also transcribe it, not disjointedly, but as a whole.
Right.
But there's a little problem.
There's a difference between clarification and just repetition.

E.g. 1:
Cus: abcd@Bleep.com.
Rep: abcd@Bleep.com?
Cus: Correct.
Rep: Got you.
Note: The rep repeated in question mode. Of course, we can decipher when something is a question and not a question.

E.g. 2:
Cus: abcd@Bleep.com.
Rep: (***abcd@Bleep.com). Got you.
***Note: In this case, he wasn't asking for clarification purposes. He just said it. By listening carefully, we're able to decipher when it's a question and when it's not. Therefore, there's no need to repeat the email address mentioned. You'll not be given a markdown whatsoever.

But then, if you do it your way and you like it that way, fine. It's still a win-win.

To the best of my knowledge, that is missing content! Auto 1.
The only thing to be excluded is fillers. E.g

Cus: 090

Rep: Okay.

Cus: 775

Rep: Mm-hmm

The example you gave is removing valid information.

For transacribing in one timestamp it should just be
Cus: 090775
All the Okays and mm-hmms between are not necessary
I don't know but I'm thinking you must've mixed up the whole thing. This isn't what he talked about. My response isn't what you're clarifying.

Thank you very much. This means it is not only applicable to phone numbers, even email, and address? I mean when a customer says an email address and the rep is repeating.

Customer: ikemefunamorris@yahoo.com

Rep: Ikemefunamorris@yahoo.com Okay, got it.
Rep: Okay, got it.

That's all.

Poor rating for over 5 conservative times. Jeez! Someone please some insight ooo

Customer: My phone number is 9 2 3
Rep: 9 2 3
Customer: 7 8 1
Rep: 782
Customer: 20
Rep: 2 0

I am being told to transcribe the above in one timestamp, please is this correct? And will I also transcribe in the REP's response
When the rep is repeating, do nothing. Just type only what the customer has said. The rep might then say "okay" at the end of it, or he even may ask another question.

For someone that has been on nairaland since 2017, you should know better.

If nairaland was like this, it won't have gone far.
I'm helping your thread go far because I noticed the one you put in February didn't generate any comment.

I've been given 2 because of o' clock by rater 30 and he/she specifically stated wrong timeformat in the quality reason , like you said maybe you've just been lucky.
Exactly. That's just it.

If rep says, I'll call you by 2, it should be transcribed as "2."
If rep says, I'll call you by 2 O'clock, it should be transcribed as 2:00.
If he says, 2pm, it should be 2 p.m. (Note the spacing between 2 and p. Note the dots too).

That it works for them doesn't mean it's what FAQ says. To avoid lamentations as per when a different rater rates.

You can write o'clock. There's an example there in the FAQ. But all mention of time must be in numerals. 12 o'clock, not twelve o'clock.
Please what page is an example of o'clock located?

A place where people were supposed to share their experiences so that others can learn, you guys moved it to WhatsApp.

Where then would those searching get their references?
If it was like that on other things, nairaland would be non-existent.

All these nairaland people that go about typing nonsense because they want to gain likes, you need to grow up.

That's why people have moved to twitter.
When you type nonsense, you'll just be alone with your nonsense.

I was expecting those 2 guys to comment afterwards. That is, to show that they're confident of themselves after the multiple bashing. But no, they went underground. That's to tell you that you should always think before you type. Imagine it's a zone where everyone had to put their real identity. If you were working somewhere, that might be the end. You'll end up struggling to delete the message.
Be careful sha. For you'd just never know.

From what I have seen, it seems he rammed into the trailer at full speed.

Imagine overtaking a trailer or a stationary trailer parked on the side of the road at 140 km/hr?

You don't overtake a car at high speed, but 10km more than the car / vehicle you wanna overtake. If stationary, try to reduce your speed.

It will be very dangerous to control the steering at high speed .

Observe the pic again and look on the first pic. The driver came to the other side of the passenger 2 in the front row of the car when the impact was taking place.

If only care was taken, that wouldn't have happened.

Very fatal.
Nna eh, I no even understand. The scene is even confusing. He probably saw it late or failed break.

But that vehicle might not have failed break, I think.

May his soul rest in peace.

Nice.
But when you used the word phone master, it became clear you meant tecno/Infinix, and not android.

Remember, these are not the only androids available, and others don't use this phone master stuff you mentioned.
