American billionaire Paul Allen bought Jimmy Hendrix's guitar for about $1.2m back in 1993. Being so pathologically broke and unenlightened... Poor in mind, body, and spirit, all the whiners here would never understand how and why wealthy people spend money on the things that interest them. http://www.guitaraficionado.com/divine-life-multi-billionaire-investor-inventor-co-founder-of-microsoft-paul-allen-adds-rock-star-to-his-resume.html |
remiopash:This is understating the facts and putting it mildly. He inherited a vast fortune, true, but Tunde has escalated his inheritance to unbelievable heights. I am dead cert that he is now a dollar billionaire in unreported net worth, with a richly diversified portfolio of money spinning investments in different sectors - telecommunications, oil and gas, shipping, banking, properties, etc etc etc. He has the proverbial oil well that would never dry up in his lifetime, no matter how 'wasteful' he is. This dude easily rakes in millions of dollars monthly. Now tell me how much change, in dollars, that he spent on KSA's guitar again. |
kennygee:Kogi babe |
Tunde Folawiyo is a super boss and custodian of stupendous wealth. This is chicken change to him. |
Yeah Yeah. I'm sure he will find numerous "bloody civilians" to give frog jump and brutalise in hell where he is headed. No tears to waste for unprofessional and highly undisciplined idiots whose sole purpose in the military is to victimise defenseless civilians. NEXT! |
Rubbish. |
Lol.. How did they survive for 15 years in the first place? Personally, I don't have any business with a girl who can't give me a good BJ. Refusal to do that is always a deal breaker for me. I don't care how hot the girl is According to Lil Wayne, "If she don't suck, then I don't want her... If she nasty, she commended if she's' classy', she's suspended." |
Adeoba10:Do deceased people also experience heartbreak? For you and the others suggesting that there is no need for exhumation and autopsy, please be guided. There is something called justice, and it must be done and seen to have been done - at all costs. The girl's family must be given the opportunity to achieve closure and this can only happen when the facts are laid bare and justice is served where necessary. If her death was due to animalistic soldiers or negligent NYSC personnel, then heads must roll! The culpable idiots must be punished in the harshest possible way permitted by law - sacked, prosecuted, and jailed. That is the only thing that can help the deceased rest and help her family achieve closure. |
I scoured thorough the 4 pages of this thread (thus far) violently looking for one commenter who defended this inglorious bastard of a minister. Unfortunately and rather surprisingly, I didn't find even one. I am extremely e-blood thirsty. |
And this kind of character is a prominent member of Buhari's "change" cabinet? The shameful fact that such OPENLY uttered incendiary comments will be condoned (or even encouraged/approved) by the idiotic Buhari presidency speaks volumes. Fellow Nigerians, your woes are only just beginning. Brace up. |
CarlyX8:Where else can I find out if not from the media? It even made front page here on Nairaland yesterday or so, and there hasn't been a counter thread proving otherwise. Give me a credible link to disprove what the mainstream Nigerian media is reporting. |
CarlyX8:It's everywhere in the media. http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/12/07/wizkid-gets-first-grammy-nomination/ http://www.premiumtimesng.com/arts-entertainment/music/217213-wizkid-nominated-grammy-awards.html |
Lol. Diana indeed. Maybe it's a gift or just due to my experience, but it is ridiculously easy for me to INSTANTLY identify Nigerian writing - in spite of the use of 'big words' or a laborious attempt to prove fluency. One has to be really really good at the use of English as a pretendedly native speaker (or at least as a very very voracious reader and proficient/prolific writer) to conceal the Nigerianness in their writing from me. |
It's been a good year for Wizkid... Culminating in a Grammy nomination, so his family should enjoy with him. |
The Lizard of Ubima. You will be disgraced as usual, regardless of your machinations. |
onward4life:Tell me more about this, which part of Jabi precisely, and how rampant is this? Haven't encountered anything like this around Jabi Utako axis, even though I'm a chronic night crawler. |
Many of you social media generation females are beyond silly.... In your misguided misinterpretation of 'gender equality', you essentially yearn to stand and pee in a urinal, disregarding the obvious mess you would make of yourself in the process. What exactly is the benefit for me - or any self-respecting and normal man for that matter - to be a full time guy for you rather than the side guy? Of course we prefer to be the side guy! Who needs to keep you with all your drama and emotional nuisance, when we can simply have you on the side for the periodic sex romps and fun social encounters! .Please, all of you should have side guys. I don't mind being a side guy to many of you at the same time....Without ever needing a full time nuisance with unrealistic expectations of faithfulness and an overbloated sense of entitlement. This side business is just perfect. |
Rhea:This is only applicable to those who earn their money in foreign exchange... I don't think that is a sizable number. |
There are at least 100 individuals from the South East with a net worth of at least N100 billion each. Pooling resources together can make a lot of magic happen. |
Malayy:Queen.. Read more about her here. http://www.gboah.com/2016/10/this-nollywood-actress-with-killer.html?m=1 |
Malayy:She's not dead. Not her. |
bigpicture001:I'm so sorry about the unfortunate incident. I know that the powers that be in the heavens would avenge. It's called Karma. But we would do our best though ... And most importantly, life is a mirage.. An illusion. Let's just try to be happy and optimistic regardless of what happens. Everything is a sad joke, ultimately. |
Douglaufuoma:A criminal is a criminal? May God forgive you. I'm so angry that if I let loose now, I'm sure Seun and the unstable mods would ban my entire IP address for life. I'll leave you to face the fate that awaits you. |
bigpicture001:Jesus. I will bookmark this and read it carefully to determine the next course of action. Where and when did this happen? |
Douglaufuoma:.. ****What was the so-called crime that led to all this? A MERE case of impersonation/fraud. Anywhere in the world, this is not a violent crime, and DOES NOT require maximum force when dealing with it. No need for any foolish justification or foolish preaching like you're doing. We're not talking about deadly armed robbers, kidnappers or terrorists who pose a threat to the safety and security of members of the public. It's simply a matter of someone who cloned a phone number with intent to defraud. Now tell me why and how that necessitated the kind of gra-gra VIOLENT approach deployed by the DSS in this raid, leading to the death of an innocent man? What the hell are you talking about, ****? Why are so many Nigerians so backward and uncivilised? |
Douglaufuoma:I have very scathing words for you, but I will try to be patient, because I know that recession brings out the lunatic in many people. What exactly is your point? |
Not surprised. |
madridguy:Mr man it takes two to keep malice. If he didn't call her what stopped her from calling him? If she "needed" him, wouldn't she have called repeatedly during that period? What exactly is your point? |
Sanusi also said “the problem of the current government is not having the right policies to fix the current economic woes”.Toh. Shebi I've been screaming this same thing all over Nairaland for months now. On speaking truth to power, Sanusi said: “I cant apologise for being who I am. The government I served, I did not keep quiet. When I am not serving the government, I cannot keep quiet.”Now, I might have hated this garrulous Emir in times past, but with this assertion, he just won my respect. Can't argue. Can't pretend. |
People don't know that policies are essentially the same as decisions, and decisions can make the difference between life and death. A good decision (policy) nourishes life, while a bad decision (policy) leads to peril. Forget the grating and irritating noise about corruption. All it takes to make the nation prosper is good leadership - comprising of wisdom of the leader and competence of his team. This is what Goodluck Jonathan provided for Nigeria. Then came Buhari with his 'on repeat' SOLO battle cry of kwarapshun kwarapshun... and here we are. No leadership skills, no good decision making, no team of experts to salvage the situation, just a single, coercion-based and ultimately IDIOTIC strategy based on FIGHT KWARAPSHUN. Look how stupid we all are for allowing these kinds of brainless Daura animals into power. This is just the beginning. |
Which kind kindergarten reporting be this? Why not tell us WHERE and when this happened? |
And some misguided bastards are still blaming Jonathan and the PDP for the horrendous situation we find ourselves? These kinds of nonsensical policies are responsible for the recession we're in, NOT Jonathan. I don't know how Nigerians allowed themselves to be persuaded by this brain-dead cattle farmer from Daura. We've not seen anything yet. This is only the beginning. |
