PoliticsRe: We Won't Provide Security For February 14 Poll Unless Its Postponed - Military by hedonistic: 9:03am On Feb 07, 2015
I don't understand what the fuss is about, unless the APC has a sinister plan tied to that February 14 date that we are not aware of. Nobody is talking about postponing the May 29 handover date. As long as that date remains sacrosanct, elections can take place at any time before then so what gives? We can't accuse Jonathan of gaining anything by postponing the date of the election since it wouldn't add even an hour to his tenure. Why the noise?

linuxuser:
To those of us agitating of voting just any where simply because you have a Voters card. Unfortunately it does not work like that. I do not know of other countries but at least I know in the UK, you CAN ONLY VOTE IN THE PLACE WHERE YOU REGISTERED. You cannot register at San Gari in Kano and go and vote in Zoo Road in Kano. Of course you can do a postal vote but voting just any where is simply impossible. Simple common sense should tell us that the ability to vote any where will only lead to unimaginable fraud.
In the UK and much of the advanced world they don't allow this sort of outrageous time lag between voter registration and actual voting (2011 - 2015). Registration is usually an ongoing process, and pre-voting re-registration is a must shortly before the election - when you are told the polling place you will vote (usually near your residence as indicated by you in the most recent registration round). This is simple planning.

I don't think it makes sense to hand out PVCs based on 2011 info without leaving any room for modification as and when necessary. Only God knows how many millions of so-called PVC holders would be disenfranchised because of this lapse. I can guess that PVC holders who would not be able to vote for this reason significantly outnumber those who have not collected their PVCs. Numerous people have changed address since 2011, numerous others registered in school, near their workplaces or businesses, during their NYSC, or other places that were convenient for them at the time. On election day they wouldn't be able to vote, which means that the useless PVCs were collected just to fulfill all righteousness or to serve as an alternative ID card for banking transactions and all that. Surely, there is a commonsensical way around these things. This is 2015, not 1960. We can't be stuck in our typical mediocre way of doing things.

So, they did not realize that before fixing that date for the polls? These people are a joke. I might be wrong, but I am of the opinion that proper logistics and analysis would have been done before fixing a date. All parties concerned would have to sign of on the date and adequate preparation towards the success would have started since then.

All these delay tactics is just pathetic and insane. Is it now that they realized that conducting the elections on February 14 (Literally, few days away) "will throw the country into turmoil and confusion.” as they said? Jeez. That country is a joke! A huge one at that. SMH.
You seem to forget the sort of country you live in. A country where an event would be scheduled for" 7pm prompt" but would not begin until 12midnight, and it's the norm!

This is just a case of incompetence and poor planning by INEC, pure and simple. INEC is supposed to be an independent body, so no one can blame the president for its shabby preparation. Such a hot mess.

Jega thinks this election is child's play. I doubt if this man is mentally sound, he doesn't understand that this year's elections are pivotal to our democratic and social progress.

His PVC distribution and collection plan is useless and stupid. I went to INEC office in Area 10 to collect my PVC this morning only to be told I can't collect it because I registered in Enugu. I can't imagine how many nigerians are like me, who registered in a different state in 2010/2011 and left their area of registration permanently thereafter but can't vote in the upcoming elections because Jega can't use his brains properly even though he is a professor.

Jega must go after 2015.
Well said. I also find it ridiculous that even with a PVC, one cannot vote at any polling booth closest to you nationwide. You can only vote in the ward you registered! and collected your voter's card.

So if I have relocated from the area or state that I registered, my PVC is useless on Election day since I wouldn't be allowed to use it in my new location. I need some clarification in this regard.

I'm Yoruba and Dbanj is just a failed musician....You can never compare him to the likes of PSquare..... noise maker... He's just an entertainer
I don't understand why some mumus would be tribalising D'Banj's failure. How can someone say that it is only Igbos that condemn him? Artists like Wizkid, Davido and Tiwa Savage are Yorubas and I know several Igbos who love them like mad. What has tribe got to do with anything here? Are Igbos responsible for D'Banj's lack of hits for several years now? Haba.

This failed musician masquerade thinks he can hide behind the mask to say rubbish. Just wait, immediately after Jonathan is declared winner of the election, I will personally hunt you down and strip you of that your smelly mask wey dey shack you. So that you go repeat this nonsense again with your open face.
PoliticsRe: Flamboyant Life Style Of Diezani Alison-Madueke by hedonistic: 8:54am On Feb 06, 2015
People are very stuuuupid and filled with hateful jealousy. For a Bayelsa Princess who was a DIRECTOR of Shell Nigeria and is married to a former Military Administrator and Chief of Naval Staff, what is the big deal in riding in a hired limousine with her sons? How does that translate to "flamboyant lifestyle" such that qualifies her for the hangman's noose? Has any law court found her guilty of stealing or misappropriating public funds? You losers need to get a life.

I am more worried by the miserable old thief called Tinubu who owns a private jet, hundreds of prime properties across high brow areas in Lagos, and is worth hundreds of billions of naira. You hypocritical noise makers should focus on him and ask yourselves how he acquired such stupendous wealth. Also do your research on one fat-faced thief called Gbenga Ashafa who spent all his working life as a civil servant in Lagos and is now an APC Senator, but is worth more than N50 billion with uncountable prime properties in Lagos. I know this man at close quarters and I can tell you that his lifestyle is ten times more flamboyant than Diezani's. Because he is a member of the APC, you hypocrites would not bother.

Leave Diezani alone!
PoliticsRe: Let's Be Fair; Jonathan Has Done Well On The Economy. By Sam Ohuabunwa. by hedonistic: 12:02am On Feb 06, 2015
The highly respected Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa is a man whose views I always take seriously. A man of high integrity, impeccable character, and an unblemished reputation. . No one can accuse him of bias or collecting bribes from Jonathan. His opinion is based on a purely subjective but fair assessment of Jonathan's administration, and I agree with him 100%.

PoliticsRe: Elections: Igbo Flee North by hedonistic: 6:51pm On Feb 05, 2015
Every sensible Igbo person should leave the core North. It is certain that Buhari would lose the election like he always does, and it is also certain that his barbaric fellow illiterate cattle rearers up north would react violently to his loss like they always do.

What makes the police special? Are they not public servants again?

Now innocent LCC staff should just allow every Mbu to pass through the gates without following laid down employer's procedures?

That Mbu guy behaves worse than agbero, confirmed.
There's no where in the world that police officers and other law enforcement agents pay tolls or are unnecessarily delayed at toll gates while on duty.
PoliticsRe: AIG Mbu Commences Work In Lagos by hedonistic: 6:26pm On Feb 05, 2015
This is not the true story. What really happened was that an impudent and disrespectful toll operator had the gall to demand that the vehicles conveying AIG Mbu and his team should pay tolls. When the operator was told who the convoy was carrying, he spiteful retorted, "who is AIG? Abeg he should pay toll?". Mbu apparently overhead the comment and ordered his officers to bundle the fools away and lock them up until they developed some common sense.

With Mbu in town, I have no doubt that Tinubu's antics would be put in check. Their greed and desperation for illicit money has blinded them to the extent that they would demand tolls from police officers on duty. Can you imagine that?

PoliticsRe: More Than 500 People Reportedly Killed By Boko Haram In Cameroon Today by hedonistic:
Islam is a scourge to the world. Only Islamic terrorists go about attacking soft targets - killing innocent people in the name of their religion or their so-called allah, just to make a point. And some fools from a particular region here in Nigeria who are known for being slaves to their terrorist masters up north would regard that as "balls" (when comparing boko haram misanthropes to the more intelligent and focused Niger Delta militants). They would say that Asari Dokubo does not have balls because he has not thrown a bomb into Oshodi market to kill 300 innocent people.

Any lunatic with a gun can wake up and kill tens or hundreds of people in his neighbourhood. Soft targets! That's not balls. That's sheer barbaric foolishness. That's what Boko Haram and their Hausa/Fulani/some south Western slaves represent.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Should Call His 'Dogs' To Order – Asari Dokubo by hedonistic: 11:01pm On Feb 04, 2015
South Western minions (and one south eastern outcast hag) making noise here.

Unlike your masters up north, ND militants don't kill wantonly or prosecute a senseless war against soft targets just to make a point. Boko Haram will enter a random village in their backyard and slaughter innocent villagers and old men. Then the news will hit CNN, just to 'embarrass' the government. That is callous stupidity, not "balls" as you south Western slaves to Northern masters assume.

My ND comrades are more methodical and humanitarian than the misanthropic Abokki barbarians up north. They would not kill innocent people for the sake of it. The threats - or in fact promises - being made by Asari Dokubo and the other militants are more like warnings. They are peace lovers warning against the impending doom if they are pushed to the wall. They don't need to terminate Buhari (which is VERY easy for them to do if they want to) or attack anyone else just to prove a point. As peace lovers, they are only creating awareness now to warn Buhari and his fellow Hausa/Fulani cattle rearers and their slaves in the south west to be wary of their actions or inactions. Otherwise, the nomads would have themselves to blame.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Jonathan would win the election, so we would never know what my comrades in the Niger Delta are capable of or how prepared they are for Armageddon. However, if you want to know, then pray to whatever god you worship that Buhari "wins" the election, and then wait to see what happens.
PoliticsRe: Ambode Calls Agbaje in Intern. by hedonistic: 4:32pm On Feb 04, 2015
Brainless scallywags. Before your master Tinubu became governor in 1999, what "experience" did he have about how a state functions - other than being a Senator for only 3 months in the failed 3rd Republic? What of his puppet Fayemi, what experience did he have about state governance before he was foisted on Ekiti people?

Besides, if experience means knowing how to defraud Lagosians through private tax collectors, how to create multiple loopholes for stealing money (e.g tolls on existing roads), how to use LASTMA to make life miserable for Lagos drivers and raise illicit revenue for the state government, and how to pauperise the already poor masses through exploitative and draconian policies and laws, then we don't want such nonsense experience. We want a breath of fresh air. We want REAL change...... That is what Agbaje represents.

Only the ignorant will wish Asari away!
Also, arresting him will be too little to late.

They should had arrested people like Ango Abduahi, Kaita, Buhari, etc who had been threatening us without fear or favour.

This is 2015 anyway, the year Nigeria is jinxed.

Buhari win, Nigeria go scatter
Jonathan win, Nigeria go scatter

Long live BIafra, my beloved nation,
Not really. If Jonathan wins, the North will scatter (not Nigeria). Abokki people would kill themselves and a few stubborn southerners who are foolish enough to still remain up north at this time. The rest of the country would not feel a pinch. The North can kill their worthless selves if they like, nobody cares.

On the other hand, if Buhari wins, that will be the end of Nigeria. Why, because the only thing holding Nigeria together is oil wealth, and I trust my comrades to ensure that the Abokki-led federal government of Buhari would not have access to even one drop of oil to run its useless government. The oil companies and their staff would be forced to leave the entire Niger Delta, and oil production would ground to a final stop.

Nigerians should decide which outcome or option is preferable.

IT WONT TAKE OBASANJO AND BUHARI TWO WEEKS TO CRUSH THE WHOLE OF THE IJAW MILITANT! YOU FACES ARE CAPTURED! NO ONE HAS A MONOPOLY OF VIOLENCE
How many of them did Obasanjo "crush" while he was in power? Even though the militants were still in their formative stages then, they dealt with Obasanjo and the Nigerian government at the time. If Obasanjo had been successful in "crushing" them, there would have been no need for his successor (Yar' Adua) to please and bribe them with the amnesty programme.

PoliticsRe: Gov Fashola Meets Mbu, Assistant Inspector General Of Police(Photo) by hedonistic: 12:09pm On Feb 04, 2015
Mbu's role is to incapacitate Tinubu's Rigging machine in Lagos currently being prepared to rig the election particularly for Ambode and Buhari. Tinubu, the shamelessly partisan Oba of Lagos, and their piglets in the APC are in for the shock of their lives, as the election will be made free and fair.

Mbu is more than capable of performing this role with absolute precision. God bless him.

PoliticsRe: What If Buhari Wins On 14 Feb But Dies Before 29 May? by hedonistic: 1:18pm On Feb 02, 2015
Too many Nigerians are extremely shortsighted and are often incapable of critical thought about future contingencies and scenario analysis. This explains why we can't plan for the future.

The OP asked a very legitimate, thought-provoking question whose answer can enlighten us and help us prepare for any eventuality. Yet most numskulls that commented here are attacking him and spewing irrelevant sentimental crap.

To answer your question OP, I don't expect Buhari to win the election in the first instance. However, if he wins and unfortunately dies before May 29, Nigeria would be plunged into political crisis. The constitution makes it clear that in such a situation, the running mate (or vice president-elect) would be sworn in instead. But we all know that the North would never accept that, and even the hawks in the PDP would see that as an opportunity to perpetuate their incumbency and call for fresh elections. All kinds of crises would erupt, and some opportunists in the Military would be tempted to intervene. All in all, 'Osinbade' would never be sworn in. Nigeria's democracy and political space is not matured and strong enough to withstand such shocks.

Soludo is a disgusting, two-faced idiot. Most of the so-called achievements he reeled out and credited to the OBJ administration (including the debt repayment) were recorded under this same woman he is accusing of incompetence today. Was NOI not the Minister of Finance and the head of the economic team under OBJ? Apart from deliberately refusing to credit her for the achievements during that time, what has changed in the woman between then and now?
