But the Gospel truth is that vehicles bought thru our paths here are more expensive than those bought at Tin can, Lagos........#for some reasons I can't disclose here... So, do not have the mindset that Cotonou cars are cheaper....just that u can make choices... #goodluck

Op, if I must tell u the truth, forget about going to Cotonou with 800k with a view to getting a toyota camry(97-99 or whichever)... Even buying without a customs duty is not enough.... Look for one in Lagos, and stop listening to those blabbers who knows little or nothing cars, buying and selling....800k might not be enough, but it is not a small cash....so, be wise

I bought a 2001 clean rav4 for 1.6m for one of my customers from cotonou this year.... And now ur friend is buying a car that has a customs duty alone of 400k for 600k, haba! If it vibrates when u apply the brake on motion, I would av suggested u go check/change either the tyrod or bearings....but if it vibrates when not in motion, I'd suggest u go check on either the plugs or the plugs-wire..........#mysuggestionthou

OP's list is highly inappropriate. The 2007 Accord is incomparable to any car on the list. How can 05 Corolla appear on the same list with 07 Accord? Unless fuel economy is his only criteria, if you consider all criteria, Accord stands out.

Instead of 05 Corolla, i would prefer 09 Elantra.

My list in order of preference is

07 Accord
09 Elantra
05 Corolla
05 Rav4

Op, all of the cars u listed, I would have preferred the rav4, buh the generall problem it has is that of its "brain-box", which affects the transmission, slowing it down unnecessarily..... I travel a lot with tokunboh cars to long distances, and know what each of these cars gives on the road.....in this world and in the next....I could kill for a toyota corolla cars.......reasons......its fuel consumption rate is superb, its acceleration is out-of-this-world, above all, its maintenance is cheaper. Thank me later

Secondly, I wouldn't advice u to buy a fairly used car without an original customs duty to avoid embarrassments, since u said u will be travelling occassionally. If u eventually meet someone who is ready to give u a fair price, coupled with a duty paper......pls go confirm the CO number of the papers first cos dealers can be funny most times, all in the name of biz...... I experienced it on d 2001 rav4 yesterday....i had to change d brake pads to stop d noise, and also d brake linings cos dat links to d hand brake. And anytime d hand brake is being released from parking position it makes dat noise..... Get ur linings and pads checked...

so sorry i tot its d brake...since its d gear, dat will be d engine seat or gear mount
