Good points from Mr Momodu. But.....we have to get the power sorted out first. Getup to 20000MW , if not 40000MW and we would be there.

Also....the cold reality is that we may have to go austerity mode.Our economy is dependent on oil and getting it off oil to the industrial one Mr Momodu suggests is going to take ages. In my opinion, PMB should fire excess civil servants, raise school fees, hospital fees,and end the fuel subsidy....and use the money saved to invest in vital sectors like rail and power....which would get us off oil. Yes....it is HARSH.......but oil is below $40. We need it to be at $123 just to balance the books. Sorry.....but subsides and other excesses have to go.

(And speaking of excesses.....government needs to stop buying new cars, and needs to spend less on Aso Rock....and the National Assembly).

.... Raise school fees, hospital bills, from which money? the money this same govt refuses to pay to workers?... My brother, do not come up with that for now......instead, let PMB stop his unnecessary travelling(to save some meaningful cash), reduce politicians wages to d minimal, make use of Abacha looted-recovered cash, blah blah blah blah....and above all, stop disturbing the masses!
