He travels via a chatered Alitalia flight with members of his secretariat and usually about 30 press corps. His entourage can be up to 100 in all but he sits in the front row of the business class section. If you still dont understand the pix you just sent then your ignorance is not curable |

He flies with the common man. Every priest, seminarian, bishop, archbishop, cardinals live in the mission houses of their various parishes or dioceses. These guys live the simplest of lives possible even though they have everything in their disposal. lies. Pope flying with which common man? The pope security is more than that of donald trump. He is heavily guarded. If he travels with common man, ISIS will give up their caliphate just to kidnap him |

May devil punish oyedipo and adebayo for using the poor sweat to buy jets and properties in their name while telling their gullible followers to save for treasures in heaven. Useless criminals while i believe tithe is not biblical, i dont think the pope is doing this just for fun. Its like gifting the american president a car. He cant use it for security reason. So the main reason why pope is not using this car is for security. The pope is heavily protected. So his car cant be gift....it must be with security specification with every detail taken into consideration. |

Medicine? That course is not meant for brilliant students. It is meant for serious students. In secondary school, i didnt read and i passed all my papers at distinction levels. In med school, i started having low scores till i started reading. Throughout my stay in med school i never had a resit till i became the association president. I was travelling from one medical school to another and even outside the country till i got my first and only resit in medical school. Join NCCMDS. They will help you a lot. Above all, even when you become a doctor after all the stress in the medical school, Buhari will still not allow you to treat his ear infection indirectly insulting you. Unless you run away, nigerians actually believe their doctors are not good. We are practically performing miracles with the resources we have. So if you are average and serious....you are a doctor already. Congratulations CAUTION....UNLESS YOU ARE WELL CONNECTED AN AVERAGE STUDENT MAY NOT GAIN ADMISSION IN THE FIRST PLACE. |

Organs: I agree absolutely with your last line. Per real or not real. Prof. Dr. Olikoye Ransome Kuti said emphatically that his brother Fela died of aids. I don't think the guy will lie like that, also, he is a teacher, Dr and even a Health Minister. My broda, i think aids is real. You cannot use that your example to judge. Just last week here, a naija hospital told a pregnant lady she will be having a son. The lady got to London and discovered she is having TWINS. Now lets discuss the koko of the matter... Now, for the first hospital that said your friend tested positive, what did you guys do? i guess nothing right? That is the nigerian corruption, laziness and mentality. That hospital might have a bad, defective system or might not even be carrying out comprehensive tests even and someone might commit suicide by that news. So what you and your friend is supposed to do is follow-up, or sue the hospital so that NO ONE EVER experiences what your friend experienced due to negligence, corruption or a defective system. Its not too late, in the meantime, what is the name of the hospital and where is it located? The test they did is not a confirmatory test so they wont win if they sue the hospital. The result will likely read: SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION. So there is room for false positive result. But to the main topic.. HIV IS SO REAL THAT I AM SO SCARED NOWADAYS . We see it practically daily now. |

At this point, I couldn't bear it anymore. I then concluded that until he found me, I wouldn't release his fund. That is when he started coming to Nairaland to post the t.h.r.a.s.h when he almost had cardiac arrest. I later released his fund to him though because I had nothing to do with his money. But he deserves to be taught series of lessons and I hope scammers will teach him. just move on. I told him never to trade with me again. Very rude and annoying. Just ignore the guy. kinguwem: The story is pathetic, however there are some issues. We were not informed of the specialty of the doctor & the age of the woman. If the lady had subfertility with ovarian cyst, all the investigations including an HSG should have been done before the surgery. What was the cause of the subfertility? Probably pelvic inflammatory disease which resulted in the frozen pelvic making it difficult to see the uterus and fallopian tubes. Meaning they were not removed but were buried in the pelvic adhesions. The adhesions must have involved the bowels resulting in intestinal perforation while trying to free them. These are things that can happen during an abdominal surgery. The problem started when the surgeon did only a primary repair of the injured intestine without performing an ileostomy (opening a passage for faeces) to aid in healing of the bowel. During follow up, with the patient now having a distended abdomen he should have know that faeces were collecting in the abdominal cavity. He should have reopened the abdomen or refer the patient to a facility with a general surgeon. The good thing is that the lady is still alive but her chances of conception is slim. i dont think the cyst was removed because of infertility. It was probably symptomatic otherwise there is no rationale behind removing a cyst as a treatment for infertility. Secondly the cost of the surgery was 45k. Hello. In abuja you are removing cyst with 45k and you dont expect complication? That is just about 100 euro. Either the doctor is not a doctor....no doctor in practise for 30yrs will remove cyst for 45k. And a post op patient is not moving bowel the next thing you gave liquid paraffin. That cant be an experienced doctor with 30yrs in practise. Even if you mistakenly rent the gut it is not going to be in multiple places and the two ovaries and tubes wont be missing. I can bet it.....he is not a doctor!!! And patient too that went to remove a cyst with 45k ....they were looking for the cheapest and the man took advantage of them. I wont stop saying this. HEALTHCARE IS EXPENSIVE. NIGERIANS MUST LEARN HOW TO PAY FOR IT. DONT BE PENNYWISE POUND FOOLISH. MODIFIED: you dont always have to do ileostomy during a resection. Even the referral centre did the 2nd surgery without ileostomy and only went back for it after a breakdown of the anastomosis |

felixomor: Just like your circumcision prevents cancer So does tithes prevents financial stress. Its that simple
Besides, your history of circumcision in Africa is a complete lie. Even till today, there are many males in africa who are not circumstanced. There are many who dont even circumcize males I was specific on male circumcision But you intentionally brought in female circumcision to pour mud into the argument. Female circumcision is a different topic because Africans did it to prevent women from adultery. I caught u there. you are funny. I am a medical doctor. We did history of traditional medicine as a course as part of medical sociology/history.So dont say what you dont know about circumcision in africa. Thst some people dont get circumcised does not mean nobody get circumcised like you rightly said that till date some dont get circumcised. To become a man in africa you get circumcised. We had local people whose main occupation was circumcision in those days. They were so revered. And you talk about financial benefit of tithe? That is subjective. I know thousands of tither that cant pay hospital bills, cant feed themselves and rely on tjose not tithing for feeding. Giving has its benefit. But tithing as a compulsory giving is fraud. Let everybody give as the spirit is leading not with a threat your finances will be destroyed unless you give |

felixomor: The law that made him pay tithes to priest Melchizedek.. Now answer your question on circumcision. i followed your argument. I am a Christian but your argument is flawed. And the fact that you are deliberately trying to avoid logic means a lot. Circumcision is not done because jesus asked us to do it. You think its only xtians that do circumcision? It prevents penile cancer. That is why it is still encouraged. Even the new testament has downplayed the importance of physical circumcision and encouraged us to be circumcised in our heart. So i dont do circumcisiom because i am xtian. In africa, long before xtianity, we circumcise both our male and females. The female is now discouraged because of its medical problem while the male is encouraged because of benefit. It has nothing to do with the bible. You must as well think we pay tax because jesus said we should give what belongs to ceazer? No. We pay tax cos it is the law. Has nothing to do with the bible otherwise muslims hinduist etc wont be paying tax |

GOOD AND QUALITY HEALTHCARE- EXPENSIVE. POOR HEALTHCARE- CHEAP. While i dont blame anybody that cant afford good healthcare, Nigerians should stop blaming doctors that demand for money to provide a semblance of good care saying we should keep treating everybody on compassionate grounds. Healthcare is expensive. If you cant afford it, dont blame a doctor that cant afford to provide it too |

That should rather make healthcare more expensive in dollar terms in nigeria. You know why? We import practically everything we use in hospital with dollars including consumables. So if i need a CT SCAN, i wont buy it with naira, i will buy it with dollars and custom will still collect duties on it. ICU equipment are all imported. The only thing we wont buy with dollars is building and salaries. so i wonder how we can provide that quality care cheaper than the dollars |

Nigerians are poor but they want doctors in private hospitals to provide them rich man healthcare. If you dont provide it then what happened to Hippocratic oath is the next line. In america you spend about 40k dollars ( roughly 12million) for uncomplicated cs. In nigeria, they beg you to collect 100k and they wont still pay. IamaNigerianGuy: God help you for the kind of medicine you practice. In civilized countries which Nigeria is definitely not, you are criminally liable for negligence if you turn away a medical emergency. Here people do anything they like. Its termed EMERGENCY for a reason. You are not legally or ethically required to deliver John Hopkins standard of medicine to such a case, just to do the best you can with the resources available, what is special about meningitis that she could not be admitted on compassionate grounds while the parents ran around to raise the money ? The outcome we now witness of a dead child is a better one ? Life is cheap and meaningless to Nigerians that is why you can make such a submission
And fyi ALL EMERGENCIES must be attended to and stabilized before referral unless the knowledge or resources are unavailable. . in civilised country most patient in nigeria will be sued for fraud after treatment. which civilised country? i trained all over the world in different field of medicine and i can boldly tell you nigerian doctors are performing miracles. Do your best and you still come back to nairaland to shout baby died for lack of oxygen? How many such threads have they opened on nairaland. Keep expecting doctors to treat you on credit when most patient are fraudulently evading payment after treatment. What do you know about stabilisation? A patient that was unconscious and convulsing that may likely need ventilator and you say they should stabilise.. With what? NOTE...nobody can hold a doctor or hospital criminally negligent for not using his money to treat patient first. In civilised country, insurance pays so you can be held liable. And if the patient dont have insurance you can call ambulance easily and refer the patient at no cost to the doctor. |

1miccza: What happened to saving a life first according to the Hippocratic oath that these Medics were trained to live by? What happened to resuscitating and stabilizing the patient first before proper treatment, and of course requesting for funds before the proper treatment. Even before demanding for funds there should have been some form of stabilization on the patient. I was involved in an accident some years back and i went to LASUTH at Ikeja , was told that there was no bed the same happened at another teaching Hospital, would you say that was because the chances of survival was slim? I took the same situation to Igbobi and before registration they worked on my injuries on the spot right there in the ambulance and today i am alive to tell the story. Truth be told, irrespective of the existing situations and conditions, this life savers have abandoned their Oath and are only thinking about money. You are still repeating the same thing. I should save life first with what ? with my hand? is it not money we will use to buy ventilator, oxygen, drugs and co or you think everything is typhoid and malaria that you can always treat with 2k. You dont know about hospitals.....most general hospital in Nigeria are so bad that they commonly reject....1) cases with low chances of survival 2) cases that can tie up their bed for a long time. Wether you believe it or not, it is the reality. so if they assumed wether rightly or wrongly your case is either they can refer you. That doesnt mean there wont be a time they WONT TRUELY LACK SPACE. so they may not have space truely. Moreso, you talk about SAVING LIFE FIRST. That is assuming i can save all lives. What if in the process of saving the life, the patient dies after incurring thousands in cost and the patient refuses to pay WHICH IS THE TREND IN NIGERIA.I should ask the writer of the hippocratic oath to pay me back? |

Flaghouse1: You should show empathy is some situations, that is why I had to jump into your mention, however since hospital need to run as a going concern atleast we the humans there need to be caring, I wouldn't lie seeing the picture of that little baby I was nearly down to tears but had to contain myself, just see the beautiful soul wasted due to parents ignorance coupled wth the greed in the system -hospital refusing to help unless you pay money, Agreed some patients misuse the opportunity why not give this one benefit of doubt sir !!! private hospitals are already doing that daily but you wont hear about it here . In our small facility, we have a bad credit of at least 1.5million monthly despite making strong administrative moves to block too much credit so the hospital wont collapse. Take your time to go to hospitals once in a while and help pay off some patient bill. Dont leave it for doctors and hospital workers alone. And while we show empathy, we dont allow emotions to guide our actions. If i know the chances of survival of a patient is abysmally low, i will collect deposit because i am not GOD. While trying to do my best with medical science the patient can die and you wont get your money back. But if the chances of survival is high, i will still go ahead and do my best even if you may not pay but it has limit too. You also need to encourage nigerians to learn how to pay bills after services even if the patient dies....because that is why hospitals demand for deposit and it is killing all of us. But if the hospital knows for sure you will pay afterwards why wont they treat you even if you have no money? |
