Tech giant Huawei's massive new campus, which is designed to look like a group of European cities, has left people in awe.

The campus in the Chinese city of Dongguan recreates a wide swathe of Europe, from faux Italian towers to artificial lakes and classical palaces. It also has its own tram system.

The campus is split into 12 "towns," which are areas where employees work. Each town is named after a European city. There are towns including Paris, Granada, Verona and Bruges.

The campus is still being built. So far 8 out of the 12 towns have been completed.

The nine square kilometer facility can house up to 25,000 employees. 17,000 employees are currently located on the campus. There are over 50,000 employees at Huawei's Shenzhen headquarters.

Huawei's Dongguan campus is so big that a tram operates to transport employees between different towns. There's also a bridge that connects the different parts of the campus on different sides of the lake. The bridge is a replica of the Freedom Bridge in Budapest, Hungary, CNBC reports.

Report reaching IgbereTv news desk has it that a bus which happens to be Alex Otti campaign train as it was fully branded with the APGA colors and the picture of Dr. Alex Otti was involved in a ghastly accident at All Saints Cathedra along Aba, Owerri Road.

According to an eyewitness, Onyebuchi Ememanka, narrating the incident to IgbereTv newsmen, he said the incident took place last night when the driver of the campaign train filled with APGA members who were returning from an event lost control of the vehicle which made it veers off the road and crash.

"Luckily, no one died but many sustained injuries and were all taken to the nearby LIVING WORD HOSPITAL on Umuocham Road" Onyebuchi Ememanka told IgbereTv reporters.

He further said; "I call on the leadership of APGA at all levels to check at the said hospital for their members for further action.

The general public is also advised to see if this notice affects them in any way. You never know.
As at the time I left the scene around 9am, one towing vehicle had arrived to remove the bus from the place.

An unidentified lady has burnt the statue of Mary in St. Jacobs Catholic Church, Orba, Igbere TV news reports.


Igbere TV newsmen gathered that the lady was seen entering the premises immediately after mass with a gallon of fuel in her hand and set the statue ablaze only minutes later.

The Nigeria police force has reacted to a report about 24-year-old photojournalst, Tunde Badmus who was arrested by policemen attached to the Lagos State Anti-Cultism unit.


According to IgbereTv, Badmus was arrested while eating noodles, at Pedro Bus Stop, Gbagada on December 30th 2018, for wearing dreadlocks. He was detained and was not allowed to contact his relatives or friends.


The Nigeria police in a statement released by the spokesperson of the command, Chike Oti , has denied the allegations, saying that Badmus was arrested for conspiring to commit felony and cultism

The attention of the authorities of Lagos State Police Command has been drawn to the news making the rounds on the social media and published by some sections of the print media to the effect that one Yinka Badmus, a photojournalist, has been arrested and remanded in Ikoyi prison, for allegedly sporting a hairstyle, which some policemen felt made him look like a cultist.


Ordinarily, the Command would not have responded to the news but because of numerous phone calls and enquiries from well meaning Nigerians, it decided to put the issue in proper perspective. To start with, it is ridiculous to say that the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Lagos State Police Command charged a suspect to court because of his hairstyle. Clearly speaking, Yinka Badmus and 13 others were charged to Ogudu Magistrate Court on January 4, 2019, on two-count charges.


The first count is conspiracy i.e for conspiring amongst themselves to commit felony to wit membership of unlawful society contrary to and punishable under Section 411, Cap CH, C17, Vol. 3 Laws of Lagos, 2015. The second count holds them for belonging to an unlawful society known as Eiye confraternity contrary to and punishable under Section 42(a), Cap CH, C17 Vol. 3, Laws of Lagos State 2015.


The suspects were however granted bail In the sum of fifty thousand Naira (N50,000) by a court of competent jurisdiction. However, those who could not meet the bail conditions were remanded in prison custody pending when they would meet the stipulated conditions for their bail. This is an issue that is neither within the purview of Force nor its control.


In view of the development, the Command wishes to put the matter straight. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no section of the Lagos State Criminal Law and indeed the Criminal Code, that criminalises hairstyle.


Therefore, there is no way the said Yinka Badmus could have been charged to court for wearing dreadlocks by the police. Suspects are charged to court based on the existing law and not for mundane reasons.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, on Thursday January 10th 2019 arraigned one Momojimoh Abdumalik on a one-count charge of fraud before Justice Abdu Dogo of the Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State, IgbereTv report.


A statement from the antigraft agency says Abdulmalik, a cashier with First Bank of Nigeria, is alleged to have fraudulently withdrawn the sum of N6, 963,929 from the Ondo State Revenue Collection account with the bank.


The charge reads:

“That you Momojimoh Abdulmalik while being a cashier in First Bank Plc, Owo Branch, between January to July 2018 in Owo, Ondo State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did fraudulently withdraw the aggregate sum of N6, 963,929.61 only from Ondo State Revenue collection account domicile at First Bank Plc, Owo Branch, thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 390(6) of the Criminal Code Act CAP C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004”.
Abdumalik pleaded “not guilty” to the charge when it was read to him.


In view of his plea, the prosecuting counsel, Immaculate Elody, prayed the court to fix a date for trial.


Defence counsel, Idedayo Olanipekun, however, informed the court that he had filed an application for bail before the court. He pleaded with the court to grant his client bail as he was a first time offender and has been granted administrative bail by the EFCC.


Justice Abdu Dogo after listening to both counsel, adjourned to January 17, 2019 for “ruling on bail application” and ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody.

South Africa billionaire Robert Gumede has splurged millions of rand on a sports car for his son for passing matric.

The yellow Porsche GT3, which retails between R2.8m and R3.3m, was a surprise gift for 18-year-old Matana Robert Junior Gumede. A video that has been circulating on social media shows the moment the teen is shown his gift.

Initially, the teen is seen being led to a Porsche Boxster S before his actual gift is revealed. When the car is shown to him, the youngster goes hysterical with excitement and starts jumping. His brother Themba posted the video on Twitter, IgbereTv report.

"So as a family we decided to fool my little brother and made him believe that he got the Boxster S. Yes he was happy... But wait and see his reaction to what we ACTUALLY him. Proud of you little bro!" Temba wrote.

In the video, the emotional youngster shares a warm hug with his father.

Reno Omokri has shared another purported audio recording of Rotimi Amaechi complaining about APC. In the audio recording, a voice said to be that of Amaechi could be heard complaining his salary is N900, 000 and that APC deducts N100, 000 from it.

Two sisters have been charged with killing their mother in southwest Mississippi.


32-year-old Ericka Hall was found lying drenched in blood at the family's mobile home in Magnolia just before midnight on Friday. She had been stabbed multiple times and shot once in the chest with a small-caliber handgun inside the home before staggering outside. She was also stabbed in the back, with the knife still sticking out of her back when she was found by relatives.


Robin Coney, the victim's aunt, told WLBT.


The girls, when I drove up, they were like: "Tee Tee we didn’t do this." And I was like: "OK, if y'all didn't do it, where were y'all when the people that was doing it did it?"


They found out the daughters — two teenagers, juveniles — allegedly did it.


The 14-year-old daughter, Amariyona Hall (pictured in the mugshot above), has been charged with murder as an adult and is being held at Pike County Jail on $150,000 bond.


The 12-year-old, who is not been named because she is a minor, is being held at Adams County Juvenile Detention Center in Natchez. Both girls will receive mental evaluations.


Under Mississippi law, children 13 and older accused of certain crimes are automatically charged as adults. Judges can later transfer cases to youth court.


The victim's aunt said the victim got in an argument with the two girls on Friday night. Deputies heard that the girls had also tried to run her over with the family car earlier in the week, the Enterprise Journal reported.


Neighbours said Hall was killed days after she took away her daughters' cellphones. Because their mother punished them, they retaliated with Friday’s fatal attack. She said the gun used in the murder belonged to Hall, and that she kept it stored in her car.


After the murder, the girls allegedly walked across the street to ask the neighbours for a ride to neighbouring McComb because their grandmother had just died. Coney said the girls then walked further down the road to a relative's home.
