1. No individual is bigger than Nigeria. 2. Buhari has no right to reject results in areas he didnt think neccessary to campaign. 3. The killing and burning of churches were planned ahead of the elections. 4. The almajiris that carried out the killings, burning and looting were incited right from their Mallams in the mosques. 5. Every Nigerian has a right to lead Nigeria. with these offshoots i was wondering what best describes the acronym CPC. Definately not congress of progressive change. Please feel free to add. fellow nairaland guys, i guess i have been justified. It happend exactly as i said. |
Looking for source right? Well, i fowarded my Tv to the point of declaration and i heard JEGA say 'Having met the conditions, JONATHAN EBELE AZIKIWE GOODLUCK, IS HEREBY RETURNED AS THE WINNER OF THE 2011 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. Please do not insult me, I'm only telling you what you will soon hear. I enjoin us to now focus our energies for the gubernatorial elections. cheers! |
@Kobojunkie, I am at this minute in jos and i posting this from jos. I know you know alot about jos but unfortunately what you don't know much about is what the issue in plateau is. its one thing to be versatile with the geograpahy and terrain of plateau and another to know and understand the polity. I mean no offence but i'm sure you dont know much about the polity of the plateau. regards. |
@13faults, sorry volts. You people keep shouting sai mama i wonder who's mama? Jang has tangible infrastructural developments in the state that were not seen since the time of JD Gomwalk. The questions i want answered are 1. What has TALLEN done during her tenure as deputy governor of plateau state that qualifies her now for the position of the governor. 2. TALLEN has been calling for change. Change from what? The violence in jos is not about Jang because the crises were there even during Dariye. The state of public schools in plateau is in shambles and Tallen was deputy governor cum commissioner of education. What did she do and why did she leave that position? |
@kobojunkie. Your post here is grossly unfair. All you know about plateau is what you have been told. i bet you have never stepped on the shores of the plateau. please don't utter baseless alphabets assemblage. |
@poster, i am surprised that you are asking what is wrong with mtn? are you from the moon? |
Please before you crucify me for source. I ran into someone today and he told me there has been a prophecy that the elections will be postponed three times. I can clearly see already that it has been postponed twice already, from starting april 4th to know april 9th. please has anyone heard the prophecy come across the prophecy publication? |
Visafone acquire multilinks? is this not trouble. Multilinlks was doing better than visafone especially their internet services. what does visafone intend to do with multilinks, than further crumble it. All multilinks subscribers get ready for high tariff and poor services. Consider opting for a new nework though. |
O God of creation, Direct our noble cause; Guide our Leaders right: Help our Youth the truth to know, In love and honesty to grow, And living just and true, Great lofty heights attain, To build a nation where peace and justice reign. Guys, lets stop all the harsh comments and all the blame. The postponement of the elections should be proof to Nigerians that something good is about to happen to Nigeria and forces are already working against it. Pray for Nigeria, don't relent. We are almost there . . . |
GenBuhari:So much for someone who is educated, knows the problem facing our nation and has researched the top candidates! All that didn't help your english. what a shame. please return back to school. it will do you a whole lot good than stay here scribbling in a language you are yet to have a grasp of. |
Well, Well, Well. Aisha2 me nene da zafi zafi haka? I simply made a comment and posted an observation but you got your claws right at my jugular. A simple response from you wouldn't have overworked you to the extent of scribbling words with insult undertone. i have a cousin Aisha but she's not from the north. So please do not assume i wrote what i did because your username sounded affiliated to a particular region. The ability to read, understand and accept constructive criticism is the hallmark of true leadership. i meant no harm to your person or political affiliation. I'm so sorry if you feel offended. FYI, i am not a supporter of any presidential candidate or party. I only pray to God to guide we Nigerians in electing someone that will move Nigeria to where we ought to be. Thank you Aisha2. |
Aisha2, you cant pretend you have not seen this topic ( afterall you are a moderator and suppose to be on your game always). Why are you not responding? If you are a BB supporter, come out clean and say it. But I was thinking Moderators are suppose to be neutral in these issues irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation? |
Moderator Aisha 2, last time you wrote about how breathtaking Buhari's wife and now you posted Buhari and his wife's picture telling us she makes him smile. Are you part of Buhari's campaign team on nairaland? |
lennyyyyyy!!!! good job. really enjoyed reading the piece. keep it coming. |
I use to think Turai's english was something. I always felt pity for her when she's making an adrress. bUT this GEJ's wife has introduced another dimension. Instead of pitying her i faint severally out of laughter. I know i shouldn't laugh at such a highly placed person but my laughter instinct does not obey me in this case. |
What is it with this bauchi people and jos? They were thesame ones clamoring for a state of emergency in jos forgetting that bauchi needs the state of emergency more than jos. And now they are against a security outfit that can synergise curbing of the crises. The soldiers alone cannot curb the crises a evident by the daily attacks jos 'enjoys'. Why cant people just think with their heads for once. Bauchi is a haven for terrorist yet they are not talking about it. Just as i have said and will keep saying, the secrets behind all these senseless attacks and needless killings will soon be in the open. |
The House of Representatives yesterday threw its weight behind Plateau State Governor David Jonah Jang’s controversial plan to establish a new state-run security organisation to be known as Operation Rainbow. The House refused to debate a motion sponsored by Rep Abdul Ningi (PDP, Bauchi), which sought to condemn the move and call for its outright proscription. Presenting the motion, Ningi argued that the plan was contrary to the provisions of the 1999 constitution which prohibits the establishment of state police and other security agencies apart from the ones run solely by the Federal government. However, Rep Bitrus Kaze (PDP, Plateau) quickly countered the motion saying, “There are crises in Borno, Bauchi and the Niger Delta, why didn’t anybody mention it on the floor of the House? Anytime the state government wants to take step to address internal issue, somebody will use the floor of the House to sabotage it. The House is the house of all Nigerians so it cannot take decision to favour some few people because there were about three reports on Plateau State that were carried out by the House which are lying idle.” Kaze added that the permission of the Presidency was sought in establishing Operation Rainbow and “it involved the Army, Police, SSS and all security agencies”. Speaker Dimeji Bankole then put the question and ruled in favour of rejecting the motion. Ningi raised a point of order calling for the division of the House into two, but Bankole overruled him. There were reports that President Goodluck Jonathan had acceded to a request by Jang to establish the independent security outfit with the purpose of stemming the ethnic and sectarian conflicts that have wracked Plateau State for years. Some of the warring groups in the state however condemned the move, saying the current Plateau State governor cannot be trusted not to use the outfit against some sections of the populace. Meanwhile, in another ugly twist to the Plateau crises, 18 people lost their lives while several others were injured in an early morning raid yesterday on Bere Reti Fan village in Barkin Ladi local government area. The attack was said to have taken place at about 1am when some unidentified men stormed the village and made straight to places in the community where cows are kept. They were said to have attacked and killed those they met on their way, killing about 18 persons including women and children. Many cows belonging to the villagers were said to have been stolen in the attack. Other victims of the attack who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals in the state. Plateau State commissioner for information Gregory Yenlong confirmed the attack, describing it as unfortunate in the face of efforts being made by the government to find lasting peace in the state. The commissioner said the state government is yet to establish the motive behind the attack as it is still being investigated by both the police and the STF. He said those behind the attack should desist as he said violence would not help. The Special Task Force [STF] Commander Brigadier Hassan Umaru, who also confirmed the incident, said the attack took place in the wee hours of the morning. He however said it was 12 people that were killed in the incident but added that it is possible that the figure could be more than that. The STF commander said the attack was “swift” and it happened in such a way that the assailants fled before his men got to the scene. General Umaru described the incident as “unfortunate” considering efforts by the STF to ensure that lasting peace is restored in the state through the various fora organized by the command. He added that the number of cows rustled has not yet been ascertained, adding that no arrest has made in connection with the incident. Director of Stefanos Foundation, a faith based organization, Engineer Mark Lipdo said most of the victims are children as 11 children were killed in the attack with two men and five women. Most parts of Jos were tense yesterday as a result of the attack and many people stayed at home due to fear of possible reprisal attacks. http://dailytrust.dailytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=12643:mps-okay-jangs-operation-rainbow-18-killed-in-fresh-attack&catid=2:lead-stories&Itemid=8 |
@loveking. You want proof? Take the next available conveyor to Jos! You will not only see the proof, you'll be a carrier of the proof for the rest of your life. |
Its most amazing that people who are not in the know of happenings on jos utter thoughtless words. LOVEKING, this is not s.ex. Which i think happens to be your expertise. Pls concentrate on that. I am presently posting this from jos. The hausa/fulani agenda is to make jos ungovernable so that a state of emergency is declared which means suspension of the governor and putting a sole administrator there. The plan is to ensure that a hausa/fulani sole administator is put in place. why are thrsame hausa/fulani not calling for a state of emergency in Borno and Bauchi states? You go about initiating, propagating, aiding, supporting and partaking in the killing of innocent humans and yet calling for a state of emergency. Fellow Nigerians, very soon everyone who has had a hand in the crises that is rocking our dear nation will be named and exposed. |
