I predict that at the PDP presidential primaries tomorrow, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is going to win. There will be marked difference between his and the runner up. Atiku as usual is going to cry foul, calling a press conference to register his rejection in totality of the result alleging marked irregularities and rigging. |
sorry Harmvirus i sounded harsh. you are a good person, how do u do? are you new on NL? |
you people have started again! How can you post this kind of write up without a source? |

Abuja bomb blasts: Atiku alerts Nigerians to alleged plot to frame up opponents From MOLLY KILETE Abuja Tuesday, January 04, 2011 Photo: Sun News Publishing More Stories on This Section Former vice president and presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has alerted Nigerians to President Goodluck Jonathan’s alleged heightening desperation of making his political rivals the scapegoats of the latest bombing incidents in Jos and Abuja. A statement in Abuja by his Campaign Organisation in Abuja yesterday accused the president of inciting the public against them through the administration’s paid agents to link Atiku’s recent comments to the latest bomb blasts. According to the statement, newspaper adverts by the president’s agents were already making insinuations of Atiku’s alleged connection with the violent incidents. While condemning violence in any form, however, the former vice president observed that President Jonathan was taking advantage of national grief to hang the responsibility for the terrorist incidents on the necks of main political rivals such as Atiku. “It is unhelpful neither to the security agencies nor for national security for President Jonathan to jump the gun of investigations and seek to make political gains out of an uncomfortable incident that have caused grief to many Nigerians,” the stated added. The statement declared that any president who exploits the bomb incidents to incite public hatred against his opponents with the purpose of framing them up was as guilty as the yet-to-be identified bombers. “In a moment of national crisis, President Goodluck Jonathan must demonstrate sobriety and cool-headed posture rather than losing his head to impetuous emotions. “The President should allow security agents to carry out intensive investigations instead of using the incident to frame up political opponents.” whom he perceives as stumbling blocks to his ambition. The President’s tacit approval of linking his opponents to the bombs is dangerous politics. The President cannot surpass Atiku’s commitment to national security. Such wicked insinuations, if not stopped, can complicate the efforts to identify the bombers,” the statement maintained. According to the statement, bomb blasts are a national tragedy and every concerned Nigerian, including those in government, have a responsibility to apprehend the wicked and ungodly culprits. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/jan/04/national-04-1-2011-003.htm |
I am simply amazed at all your silly arguments. To all those who think FBI coming to nigeria is shameful, may your father, mother, sister , wife ,daughter or son be a victim in the next bombing. When you see the pieces of their flesh scattered around and all their members dismembered come back to NL and say FBI coming to naija is shameful. people just wake up and write rubbish because they are not directly affected. Its pretty obvious nigeria cannot fight these terrorists so why not ask for help. Everyone here against the FBI coming to nigeria is probably a muslim ( i dont care what your username suggests) because muslims are against america while those for FBI are probably christians. Arguments or write ups here are polarised against religious lines ( i dont care what your username suggests cos anyone can use any username) thats why we are not making a head way in nigeria. |
As if we are surprised. Atiku, keep confirming your intentions for nigeria. First you initiated the north consensus candidate stuff, rigged it and you became the ''north consensus candidate''. And now instead of condoling Jonathan and the people of nigeria for the abuja and jos, and bayelsa bombings, you are using it to score cheap political point. Are we sure you are not even behind all these bombings just to discredit the government of Jonathan? Afterall you offered a threat once. Time will tell. |
Atiku indicts Jonathan As the country continues to witness a new wave in terrorism through recent bomb blasts that have claimed many innocent lives and destroyed properties, PDP Northern consensus candidate for the PDP presidential primaries and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned in strong terms the spate of bombings in the country, accusing the Federal Government led by President Goodluck Jonathan as incapable of addressing internal security in the country. Abubakar Atiku who was in Bauchi Saturday in continuation of his tour of the country, remarked in an interactive session with newsmen that the Goodluck Jonathan led administration has failed Nigerians by not adequately providing enough security for lives and properties which is the priority of any responsible administration the world over. The PDP 2011 presidential aspirant said: “To be honest, I don’t think the government is paying enough attention to the insecurity in this country. If you look at my manifesto, security is the first issue I intend to tackle if elected as the president of this country.” He then called on Nigerians to be security conscious and ensure that they adequately protect themselves against any attack by being vigilant of people, particularly strangers in their midst just as he advised the Federal Government to immediately wake up to its social responsibility of providing adequate security to all Nigerians. http://tribune.com.ng/sun/index.php/front-page-articles/2857-abuja-blast-security-agencies-suspect-external-forces-begin-forensic-analysis-raise-alarm-over-importation-of-special-perfumes-jos-mogadishu-bombs-similar-jonathan-soldier-loses-legs-arm-as-daughter-fractures-leg |
The yorubas were settlers in jos long before the hausaman thought of coming to jos. But not for one day did the yorubaman claim jos as his or contests with the indigenes for elective positions. An ibo man cannot contest elective positions in kano even though the business environment is boosted by the ibo man. Can you believe that sabon Gari in kano is not a local government despite the fact that sabon gari is the most populated area in kano and the business empire of kano. The reason is simply the fact that sabon gari is populated by non-kano indigenes. sabon gari has the worst roads in kano but its the commercial nerve center of kano. My concern is this: If the hausa man does not allow the non hausas a breathing space in their own lands why does he think others should allow him? Is he a superior specie or what? When it comes to politics, the hausa man hides under the 'north' umbrella when in real fact its all about the hausa agenda. For example, Atiku and his cohorts have been fighting tooth and nail for zoning because he claims it the turn of the north. But we all know its because they are hausas. I know one thing though, its all about time. Time will reveal all. |
@Poster, why are posting pictures and claiming it happened in jos? Fellow NL's, the first picture posted never occured in jos. These are victims of fuel fire explosion. please it is important we check out facts very well being we get carried away by fake-picture induced emotions. There was a bomb explosion in jos, yes. The remaining pictures happened in jos, yes. but the first one, no!. |

High_Chief:Common guys, we need to understand contexts. i never said that was the meaning of chizoba.Ii said it will be a reminder. Haba, why una dey fall my hand. |
chyz1:You see, you are one of africa's numerous problems. If you dont agree with a line of reasoning, you simply say so and say why? Do you have to be insultive about it? Africans like you hardly read and it was for this reason i use the word "MOST" in capital letters.( Check the first line of my previous post). i know humans like you exist. Why then would i want to name anyone CHYZ (Chizoba) when as per your case it will be an ever present reminder of carelessness. WAKE UP MY GUY! |
Guys Guys Guys, lets not push this issue too far. The problem with MOST african names are the following 1. The do not have any meaning 2. is to despise somebody, may be the second wife who may be childless 3. coined from fettish origin 4. a play of sounds 5. Non-sense meanings e.g Birom names like Botmang means a frog Are these the names you want to be identified with? i am not saying we do not have good and meaningful african names but the fact that technology has made the world a global village where the stronger economies dictate the culture, we can only pray to God to help us. We need to fortify our culture by building and rebranding ourselves such that other cultures can desire ours. Lets start with nairaland for example. Why would seun a bonafide yoruba guy not create nairaland in yoruba? rather he chose the language as english. Guys there are so many issues. We need to work on ourselves in totality. we have a problem. Leaders who told us years ago that we children are the future of nigeria. But they have refused to leave the stage, how then can someone somewhere desire to be called chukwumerije or babangida or obasanjo tell me oh! |
@SAgirl. hmmmm, glad you finally responded. Giving you my full profile is not a problem but not in the open. why wouldnt you want to live in naija? Naija is a beautiful place. Dont mind all the stories you hear or read. We need a private platform to chat and get to know ourselves more. what do you think? |
mumagee:haba Mumagee, why are getting the lady scared? You no even bother to advise me your own brother. Anyway not every guy is bad. And when some things look too good to bee true, it just might be true. just a simple guy liking a girl. SAgirl, where are you? |
jejelolatu:common Jejelolatu, not every nigerian comes around with evil or bad intent. I am just a simple guy liking a girl. You could send me your mail and we'll chat. is it that you dont believe i can be real? |
Dear SAgirl, for all your effort in bba5, and your desire to hit naija, i finally found you a worthy husband, me. let me know if you are serious to be in naija. |
