Seriously people, it is just a game.
Must we be fraudulent so our countryman will win?

Ok, after winning then what next? PHCN will no longer take light?
We take ourselves too seriosly in this continent, no wonder our progress is slow.

I just want to see a free and fair game.

I like Luclay and Sharon O and unfortunately i dislike Karen and Vina.
Should that be a crime? Must i support someone whose personality i dislike because he is a contryman?

If Karen wins, i will be happy for her.
But a situation where we have to cheat and insult others for not voting Karen, na wa o.
You and who are fraudulent?

Vina from her speech before bigbrother cut her short to name names, felt as though forced to swop Karen. What was she feeling like? If she didnt swop Karen, Karen will still be saved by africa. What was Vina's strategy  for swopping Karen for Lomwe?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by hillsate: 11:36am On Jul 18, 2011
Today, the dumbness of Vina will be bare for all to see.
Vina has no plans, no strategy. She's just too dumb. She believed Africa save her because of her silly romance with Lomwe. Guess that's why she quickly ran into the arms of Lomwe when she was told she's safe. Just don't be surprised if Vina saves lomwe tonight. Just wished she wasn't head of house this week. But even at that she does not stand a chance of winning the money except if Karen gets disqualified, voluntary opts out or dies. We had Nkenna and Kevin at the finals of BBA4 yet Kevin won.

Did you guys see Vampire, sorry Vimbai smiling when Mumba was evicted? aarrrggghhhhh!

I salute the courage of Karen and Luclay for sacrificing themselves on this weeks nomination, and hanni too. Guess this has put big brother in some dilemma cos they now have to determine who should be named as being on nomination with the sacrificees.

There is every possibility of Karen( this will meet the need of BB of a female winner this time) and Luclay (this will pacify the South africans) winning the BBA6. Guess now we all know why BB brought up ( in the middle of the show) the idea of 2 winners.
PoliticsRe: Jtf Accuses Borno Elders Of Backing Boko Haram by hillsate: 11:42am On Jul 15, 2011
Guys guys guys, lets be objective here.
1. stop seeing the JTF with an ethnic eye. The military is the military.
2. The Bornu elders kept quiet as long as the wanton destruction was not affecting them. Are these guys really elders or heralds of destruction.
3. I do not think the elders made the statements they made on their own volition. They must have been threatened by the sect. Because from their statements, they were ordering the FG to withdraw the JTF while pleading with the sect to considers their plights.
4. Jonathan should invite the so called elders to Abuja. He should hold them responsible for the happenings in Borno state. They know what is going on.
5. The NBA in borno was talking about setting up a committee to look innocents that were killed. The question is, the innocents that were killed by the military or the sect?
6. Some people think the military is made up of robots who have no flesh and blood. Do you think they too want to die? once you are on peace keeping, you are also a death target? the military will not be smiling with the borno people because death is either way.
7. i think we should stop blaming the sect. Cutting down a tree with its branch still in the soil is a waste of time and energy. Gov Sheriff is the mastermind of all this. He should be brought to book.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Forced the Closure of University Of Maiduguri by hillsate: 4:43pm On Jul 12, 2011
Lets keep all sentiments aside. What course is boko haram fighting for?
people keep bringing up MEND each time boko haram is mentioned.
MEND were fighting marginalization and depravity. They had a course and were not killing innocent nigerians (in most cases) but rather targeted their rage at government and government installations.
Boko haram are fighting a religious course to turn Nigeria into an Islamic nation and in most cases have been killing innocent Nigerians.

These are the offshoots:
1. Why are the Muslim leaders especially the Sultan not condemning the acts of boko haram. i hope we all remember silence is consent.
2. why are Muslims not condemning the acts of boko haram? The only reason i see in their silence is that they secretly but strongly support what the boko haram is doing.
3. Why is it taking Jonathan eternity to address this boko haram thing? The only reasons i see for his silence  are, he has been charmed, he's clueless or simply afraid. I can bet you this boko haram thing wouldnt have gone this far under OBASANJO.
4. Muslims should not condemn Christians for being against boko haram. The truth is that if boko haram were fighting injustice, poverty, corruption, Nigerians irrespective of their religious affiliation will line up behind boko haram.

The only action that will prove that Vampire, sorry Vimbai is smart is if she doesnt nominate or put Karen up for eviction. She should know that you cannot evict someone who already has been evicted to win. Her face up with karen on sunday morning was predicated on the fact that she was sure Karen swopped herself with her. But i saw the shameful look on her face when she discovered karen did not even swop anyone but sacrificed herself. I do not think karen will be put up by the housemates tomorrow or be put up by vampire, sorry Vimbai. Only Vampires will do that Karen. Whatever the case i see Karen heading for the Prize.
and pls, whats Kim up to getting close to Karen? Sympathy votes from naija? jokin.

HOW AFRICA VOTED.

Karen came out top of the standings with eight country votes, and Sharon O got three.

Here's how Africa voted:

Karen: 8 country votes (Rest Of Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, Mozambique, Angola)
Sharon O: 3 country votes (Uganda, Malawi, Kenya)
Weza: 2 country votes (Tanzania, Ethiopia)
Alex: 1 country vote (Ghana)
Miss P: 1 country vote (Botswana)

Wow! eight country votes for Karen.
And please somebody help me, you mean Angola did not vote for their own Weza? Eish . . .

Twinstaiye et al are the ones who wrecked this BigBbrother thread. They wanted to prove to fellow nairalanders that they have blackberries. Shey na by force to use blackberry? Anyway i am sure Seun now knows that the blackberry bigbrother group has taken its toll on nairaland.
@Screendiva, your good intention of bringing us together by starting the bigbrother thread this year has been sabotaged. i suggest you find a way to close the thread. This thread has become a waste of space because of blackberry.
@Twinstaiye, you did a great disservice to us by initiating and creating that bigbrother group on blackberry. Did you not know that such groups have limit to membership it can take?

TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by hillsate: 12:33pm On Jul 05, 2011
You guys are just talking. Karen is not silly as many people think. Forget what you see on camera. Karen is a very smart lady. She knows what BBA is all about and she's playing the game. Have you realised that most of the daily shows is centred on Karen? Karen knew she wasnt gonna swap herself with anybody, she was just playing for time calling names on the nomination show. The whole drama of BBA6 is centred on Karen and Luclay. But Luclay is loosing some heat by keeping away from Karen. Who would have thought that Mumba has some entertainment in her? Was not Karen That inspired her. Karen aint going no where. If Karen leaves na wetin africa go dey watch na? is it kim and Lomwe, who should know they are not acting in a local soap opera, or is it Weza, Alex, Vimbai who believe they underpriced themselves appearing on BBA, ( and please some should tell me why Alex keeps nominating Karen. Guess he has forgotten that its all west africa and he may need Nigeria someday in BBA? All he does is to only eat and put on his grey top and black pant).
Meanwhile guys, lets vote to keep Karen in the game. She epitomizes entertainment and even bigbrother wouldnt be in a hurry to let her go.
One more thing, I think Vina is very dumb. i would have expected her to keep close to Karen and update herself with all the happenings in the house but all she does is speak one  fried english with an attitude as though she even doesnt go to the toilet? Karen tried to achieve this on the day the heads were mixed with the tails but Vina was too dumb to even understand.
KAREN IS THE AMPLIFICATION!

Hmmm, I have always said it that this BOKO HARAM guys have insiders in all the forces. There is no how an uninvited person can smuggle himself into where ministers are being screened without an insider collaboration.
PoliticsBoko Haram: Sss Grills Suspected Member Who Sneaked Into Ministerial Screening by hillsate(op): 7:00pm On Jul 01, 2011
State Security Service (SSS), operatives are still grilling the suspected Boko Haram member who sneaked into the SSS headquarters during the screening of ministerial nominees.

Pointblanknews.com had exclusively reported that an unidentified middle aged man had sneaked into the venue where ministerial nominees were being screened, with the alleged intent of casing the place in preparation for an attack.

The deadly sect had vowed to attack all security agencies including the police, Army, and the SSS. They carried out their threat two weeks ago when one of it's members detonated a bomb at the Force Headquarters Abuja, killing no fewer than five with property worth tens of millions destroyed.

Top security sources in Abuja hinted Pointblanknews.com that the suspect is telling his interrogators all he knows about Boko Haram, and how he beat security into the screening venue.

The source said his identity and link to the sect have been established. According to our source, the suspect had no explosives on him, but was there to check out the set up and security , so he could report back to those who will carry out the attack.

The man whose name was not on any list sent for screening by the Presidency, sneaked into the SSS office alongside those who presented themselves for security screening.

According to an SSS source, the well-dressed man who is from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, beat all security checks at the gate of the Service into the venue of the screening before he was fished out.

“The man was already seated. An officer of the SSS who was verifying identities of those seated discovered that his name was not on any list.

“When some operatives of the SSS started interrogating him, he started behaving funny, pretending to be insane. After, some minutes, his tricks was discovered and was quickly apprehended”, the source disclosed.

Pointblanknews.com findings revealed that the mystery behind the man’s action is not yet known but the Service has vowed to unravel the motive behind his action.

The operatives are also trying to establish if the suspect had any help from inside .

Spokesperson of the SSS, Marilyn Ogar, in an effort to reach her for comments proved abortive as several calls placed on her cell phone were unanswered.

PoliticsRe: Governor Danjuma Goje Apologises To Boko Haram by hillsate(op): 12:57pm On Jun 27, 2011
Please i hope this is not true. Danjuma Goje was a no nonsense governor who was greatly feared and respected by his enemies. He did alot for the gombe people. One of the best governors in Nigeria's history.
During the uprising of boko haram in gombe, he sternly warned them and even went after the members arresting and demolishing their houses. I really dont know what this apology is about but i hope its not true.
If a former governor apologises to boko haram because they demanded for it, then we are in trouble. It just shows that they can get to anyone they want.
Well, fellow nigerians, at this juncture, i need to announce to you that if you think your security lies with man in this country, you are doomed.
Goodluck Jonathan sent additional 300 soldiers to Maiduguri last week and by yesterday the boko haram killed over 30 people at ago in thesame maiduguri.
NA ONLY GOD GO BE OUR SECURITY!
PoliticsGovernor Danjuma Goje Apologises To Boko Haram by hillsate(op): 12:48pm On Jun 27, 2011
Former Gombe State Governor Muhammad Danjuma Goje has apologised to the Jama’atu Ahliss-Sunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, popularly known as Boko Haram, for whatever wrong he might have done to the group during the outbreak of the Boko Haram crisis in the North East.

Spokesman of the group, Abu Zaid, in an interview published in Daily Trust on Friday, blamed Danjuma Goje and two other governors for their alleged roles in the Boko Haram crisis.

Goje’s statement reads: “My attention has been drawn to a publication in the Daily Trust of Friday 24th June 2011 following an interview granted the paper by one Abu Zaid , spokesperson for the Jama’atu Ahli Sunnah Lidaawati wal Jihad demanding a public apology from me, for my role as the then Governor of Gombe State at the outbreak of the Boko Haram crisis in the North East.

“As a true Muslim, who believes in peace and brotherhood, as entrenched in both the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), I hereby tender my PUBLIC APOLOGY to the organisation for any wrong done to it in the course of performing my duty as the then Governor of Gombe State.

“We pray to Allah (SWT) to continue to promote Islam, peace and brotherhood for humanity throughout the world.”

The IGP is compromised!
The boko haram held the IGP by the balls threatening to annihilate his family.
They now gave him a script of their plans and how the IGP will make the bombing of the force hqtrs a reality. ( just to humiliate him)
They promised to save his life though.
They had to make sure the IGP was out sight before the bomb was detonated and they had to sacrifice the driver to make it appear like a suicide bombing so as not link it to the IGP.
Now you understand why the IGP and the police without any thought, concluded it was suicide bombing in the beginning.
The boko haram now warned him never to repeat or imply what he said in Maiduguri.
Now you understand why the IGP was careful wih his words while he gave his post bombing speech. He didnt even mention boko haram.

PoliticsRe: Police Arrest 58 Boko Haram Suspects In Maiduguri by hillsate: 12:38pm On Jun 20, 2011
58 Boko Haram suspects indeed!
As a police or law enforcement officer, you can pick up just anybody and call him a suspect. The policemen just picked innocent Nigerians and other nationals from the streets and named them suspects. Why didnt they catch the suspects before the police headquarters bomb blast?
The IGP wants to tell the whole world that they are working by organising a parade show claiming it arrested 58 boko haram members.
Abeg release the innocent people, go back to your drawing board and go after the real haram members.
IGP, start with the boko haram members in your domain.

Hmmmm, be careful what you say about a man of God. It is not your place to judge his actions or words.
And if i may ask, what is wrong with someone saying the God of Adeboye? Even Jesus Himself said God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Please i beg you, be careful what you say about any man Of God. Except you have met him one on one and he is unable to explain his actions or words. Many people have wondered why so many wrong things are happening to them. in most times it can be traced to the words the uttered against a man of God. Some people on this forum even go the extent of out-rightly insulting these men. lets assume Pst Adeboye is not a pastor, is he not old enough to be your father or even your grandfather? can you insult or watch someone rubbish your father or grandfather?
Lets just be careful guys.
Regards.

PoliticsFake Soldier Roams The Villa by hillsate(op): 11:12am On Jun 02, 2011
Authorities of the Guards Brigade yesterday arrested a fake army corporal who found his way into the high-security Presidential Villa in Abuja and visited many offices as the escort of a lady. The Guards Brigade Public Relations Officer Captain Njideka Clara Ogwu said Hussain Emmanuel was arrested by soldiers on guard duty at Gate 11 of the villa trying to gain access into the main building. She said Emmanuel was in full army camouflage uniform and had an AK-47 helmet with a fake ID card when he was arrested.

The spokesman said Emmanuel was acting as an escort to one Idiye Macphil who claimed to have served as member of the House of Representatives. She said, “Emmanuel presented a fake ID card to the soldiers on guard. The ID card contained the picture and name of Emmanuel while the back side of the card contains symbols which can only be seen in a General’s ID card. He confessed to be a fake soldier during interrogation and he was arrested.”

She said Emmanuel was confident in his approach and he wore the full regalia of junior officers including belts and helmet and could be mistaken for a real soldier. He claimed to have obtained the uniforms from an army captain in Port-Harcourt “and later said his friend who is now an army corporal in Port-Harcourt gave him the uniforms but we could not independently verify his claims.”

He also said he knew Machpil since 2007 but they lost contact with each other until recently, when she sighted him at a place in Port-Harcourt. Macphil asked if he knew Abuja very well and can escort her to see a permanent secretary in the federal civil service attached to the presidency and he agreed. The name of the permanent secretary was not disclosed but Macphil told the soldiers that she was once an “honorable member” of the House of Representatives, the PRO said.

Captain Ogwu said the fake corporal and the woman have been handed over to the police for prosecution.

When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer in Asokoro, CSP Ahmed Musa said the case has been transferred to the police and investigation has commenced. Those arrested in connection with the matter will be charged after investigation, he said.
