Exactly. It's contempt ex facie curia for lawyers to be criticizing a decision of the supreme court because of emotions and political partisanship. The lawyers deserved to be jailed.

There is no law prohibiting Lawyers from criticising the judgment of the supreme Court be it in Nigeria or anywhere in the world. And doing so does not fall within Contempt ex facies curia.

The supreme Court is not also infallible. There are plethora of case wherein the SC has reversed its judgment or set aside its Orders.

The recent supreme Court judgments are troubling and should bother any Nigerian.

I need serious advice. I grew up an only child, raised by a single mum. My dad abandoned us as when I was a kid and few years later he died in an accident. My mum is the most important person in my life and I love and respect her. She is also a very religious woman and raised me so.

The pain and trauma caused by these criminals is not only felt by the victim (the poor old woman) but also by her children and loved ones. Where in our laws does a magistrate derive the powers to award damages in a criminal matter? There was no mention of the conviction and sentencing.

I am in my mid 20's, I do things solely on my own financially. I work in a company with a take home monthly pay of 70k and at the same time I'm running a part time program for my National Diploma, I'm in my ND2 now.

I was working with a company since late 2015 and my appointment was terminated yesterday.

What was contained in the contract letter was that I either give a month notice or return a month salary in case I want to leave and vis Versa.

The HR called me that I will be paid for this month which I think I am already entitled to, having work for half of the month already.

I feel the company has already breached the contract agreement else I am to be paid at least have of the month I have already worked for.

Please the lawyers in the house should advice me before taken any step.

In some contract agreements, there are grounds for termination without notice. However, it must be contained in the employment contract agreement.
