FA13:I wish you will not make this personal. The president addressing the house of rep. and a management meeting are not exactly the same. If you think of it for a minute..... a question and answer session with the president and the house of assembly members ? Maybe if you could give an example where this has ever happened, I will buy you a gift for the new year....GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND.... HOOOHAAA |
I don't think the president was going to the national assembly to take questions from the law makers. No president anywhere, with the prevailing situation in the country, would put himself in that position. Can you imagine the kind of questions PDP members would have put before him? If he had to go to the house of representative, it would have been to read out an address. No questions. And the address will not have been satisfactory because it will not contain what is been done to contain the security issues bedeviling the nation. These, i imagine, will be classified matters. So looking critically at the invitation, I think it was not well thought out before the resolution was passed and I blame the speaker for making it go through. after all, he stopped the Apkabio accusation before it got very far. Also it is in the house of rep. that anything goes. uncontrolled emotions run high most times. sometimes with fights, blows flying. that is why you have them inviting the president to speak to them on a matter even the national assembly should be seriously collaborating with the executive to solve. |
I'm okay with all the rules except NO 11. They expect me to be a snitch. The other rules are what you should expect in any place of work, even though other places of work will not tell you openly, but fall foul of one of them and you will find yourself in "hot soup". Putting all the rules together you will see that they are only telling you to work hard like the company is yours, which, if i might add, is what every organisation expects of her employees. |
Hi Guys. This is a little bit off topic. I have searched Nairaland and i cannot find latest answer to my question. Please which is the easiest way to receive my amazon associate earnings in my account in Nigeria ? I have tried registering with Payoneer and the it is almost complete but I think I may not be approved because when filling the Global Payment Services questionaire I put that I'm an amazon affiliate not Amazon seller. So the GPS has been put UNDER REVIEW. every other thing has been approved. So I'm looking for alternative ways to get my money. I used to use the cheque option through the post office until my cheque was stolen. Amazon support told me that the cheque had been cashed. It beats me how somebody could do that with my name on the cheque and these days of BVN. So guys any help ? Thanks in advance. |
Lastly I would advise you keep the death of your dad away from pension related matters, ptad would stop paying any deceased pensioner if they find out about itThe advice you gave is not an honest one. The monthly pension was for your Dad. NOT FOR YOU. So the right thing to do is report to PTAD about your Dad's death. They will stop the monthly pension but you will still get the arrears, as the next of kin, since it accrued while he was alive. This world is just a transit point. Always think of the hereafter. |
WHO IS INTIMIDATING WHO?

Mikejohnson:if the thing no reach you, e no reach you. Why you dey sweat yourself. when you think one way close, God Almighty will open another way for you. |
somebody who despatched kanu to the unknown is one you are calling a weakling. just like most Nigerians , you have easily forgotten that the whole country was nearly thrown into anarchy by kanu, one small boy, until the president came back from his medical leave in London. if the senate choose to dabble into matters that bother on personality clash, this is what they will keep getting. |
4kDdullard:Thank God. you have acknowledged it. What did your man GEJ achieve? Blowing our treasury away. |
Lukgaf:If you listened to the minister of information while explaining why the girls were brought back the way they were brought back, you will realise that the federal government has been in negotiation with the faction of boko haram responsible for the abduction of the dapchi girls. He said they had agreed that there will be no abduction while the negotiation lasted. and as such they boko haram breached that agreement, that is why that faction of boko haram agreed to return the girls. But they insisted that they will return the girls themselves in their own way. Also if you are following this very closely, you will remember that president Buhari ruled out using force to rescue the girls. My take is that, the boko haram needed an assurance that they will not be attacked while returning the girls and they wanted the president to say so publicly first before returning the girls. But one will ask, why abduct them in the first place when they knew they will be breaching the agreement not to abduct. My take again is that the negotiation with federal government must have stalled, and the boko haram needed some leverage, so they abduct the girls and say something like "if you don't agree with what we want, the girls will not be seen again" . So to really answer your question. My take is that, The federal Government is negotiation with the faction of boko haram headed by Abu Mus’ab Albarnawi, the son of Boko Haram founder Muhammed Yusuf. The other faction headed by Abubakar Shekau, is the one using people for suicide bombing. Whether FG is negotiating with that faction, I don't know. but the fact that they are still doing the suicide bombing thing leads me to say nothing is happening on that end. |
I want to predict that the law makers will not dare over ride the veto of the president., especially the APC law makers. The reason is simple. if the list of the people who participate in overriding the president is made known after the vote, which is likely, then it is bye bye in 2019 for them. Afterall it is a well known fact that most of them came on board due to the popularity of the president. |
SEUN beware o! Don't wait until they shut down our beloved Nairaland before you take action against fake news o!!! |
as a hot tempered person when growing up I was advised that anytime am angry and wants to take certain decisions I should first of count from 1-100 before getting to number 100 there is a 95%chance that you may not take that decision .If you like count to 1000 the annoyance will still be there, I bet you. Annoyance is actually caused by Satan, so unless you wish/ pray him away, the annoyance will be there for sometime. That is why the prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammed, (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) advised that when you are annoyed, just call on the Almighty God to protect you from Satan. If you do that your annoyance will subside immediately. |
Back to the topic, we careless if they nurture the idea of re-contesting or not, but they should bear it in mind that we're ready to take down any intimidating force come 2019.You and who's army? |
Ipob people too plenty for these forum. Before any post about Buhari even land, they don dey throw abuse left and right. SEUN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS OOOO! Otherwise something go sele! |
" Ortom, who denied that he was sponsoring a militia group, recalled that before the anti-open grazing law was implemented, herders were given a six-month grace to establish ranches. " MUMU GOVERNOR. How can you give people 6 months to establish ranches. People who have been passing that route for centuries. you come one day and say they should establish ranches in six months. What is the hurry. This points to the fact that you caused the killings. Tell the world what happened when your anti grazing law was not obeyed by the herdsmen. the herdsmen are not mad men. if they were not obstructed by force, there could not have been any reprisals. WHEN THE TRUTH COMES OUT, THIS MATTER WILL BE SETTLED. RIP TO THE DEAD ON BOTH SIDES. |
AnodaIT:If he goes after those cases, it will still be the Patience Jonathan, Dasuki, and other PDP goons that will be involved. AND YOU CONTINUE TO CRY. |
@bjstardom. I wish you will just quote one source for all your references instead of running a commentary on this issue. I guess you did not see Magu recently at the House of Rep. committee meeting confirming that the Nigerian FIU is now completely independent. |
They use to call him foremost constitutional lawyer. But since he became the spokesman for Nnamdi Kanu ( runaway soldier ) his status has noticeably decreased. |
doctokwus:That is what they said about him before he took over. Because of the fear of Buhari everything started going right all of a sudden. That is when the "body language" thing started. But when they realised that he is a changed man, a democrat, they went back to their old ways of corruption and destruction. You have now started again about Buhari. Why do Nigerians forget so easily. Please go back in history a little bit and find out what Obasanjo did to Nigeria. He is not fit to give advice. His only legacy is handing over quietly to a civilian government of Shehu Shagari. That is why he is held high in the international community. Maybe we should hold a referendum and decide whether we want democracy or military rule. Because we seem to shout for quick action whenever we encounter some difficulty. |
OBJ we know! Ozhekome we know! The first will always want to remain in the limelight. It is almost a disease. Most ex head of state, ex presidents, ex prime ministers, etc do not criticize ruling presidents in public (except trump). they give advise in confidence. look at obj, he starts out being cosy cosy with every government after him and then fall out with them later. This is inevitable when his advice is not been taken. He plays to the gallery most of the time. There is no original thinking even in his criticism. At this eleventh hour he comdemns the two leading parties and advocate a non existence movement. ( Maybe he will eventually come round to join forces with the Redcardmovement started by his former minster Oby). But because Nigerians are a people with very short memory, we forget that the same OGJ presided over the PDP in a very shameful manner which culminated in imposing on the country a culture of impunity and extreme corruption in the person of former president Jonathan. Now the question we have to ask ourselves is, after all we know, is he fit to give advice or criticize in the manner he did? The second is a brilliant lawyer no doubt. But one who walks hand in hand with the corrupt. Will his criticism mean much, given the fact he will always protect the corrupt? Which is better? start afresh with no chances of any credible candidate in sight and a great chance of returning to the era of the immediate past or go with the present and build on the gains that have been made so far. |
The senator is playing politics by playing to the gallery. Does he actually know the problem of fulani herdmen and farmers? he is always using every opportunity to rail against his Governor Nasir El-rufai (albeit in a subtle manner) because he wants to be governor of Kaduna state. |
Nigerians! Nairalanders! It is very instructive and enlightening to read this piece on fulani herdmens. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/this-thing-called-killer-herdsman.html |
Just unfortunate that some nigerians don't even know what is happening in their own country. Or maybe they choose to display selective amnesia. For a true picture of the story of the fulani herdsmen and farmers, please read this piece. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/this-thing-called-killer-herdsman.html |
TiptopD:I wish you had contributed just a tiny bit to the post, I would have been satisfied. |
Some business owners in Kaduna are in a dilemma on how to respond to the new ENFORCEMENT AGENTS supposedly employed by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). After personally encountering one of such agent (company?) as a business owner, these are what I found out. 1. According to them CAC outsourced the collection of ANNUAL RETURNS and checking whether relevant businesses have their registration numbers displayed on their sign boards 2. They collect cash 3. According to them their Lawyers will fill the relevant forms for the business owner and the owner collects the CAC approval receipt at a later date. (the collection is not comfirmed) 4. According to them, failure to pay could lead to a court action against the business owner. Please guys, my questions are? 1. Is this qenuine? 2. Is CAC not required to collect all revenue due it through the REMITA (TSA ACCOUNT)? 3. Is this happening in other states? A trip to CAC Office. The person in charge of annual returns for Businesses has no idea of such arrangement. Infact, he strongly warned against paying cash for any CAC Payments. My obervations. 1. CAC has not been forceful in collecting annual returns from businesses, so most businesses hardly make their returns and the payments which go with them. 2. CAC is only required by law to delist companies (after informing them) if they do not make their annual returns. There is no mention of court action or enforcement. Maybe lawyers in the house can correct me if I'm wrong here. So guys what do you think? |
Where are those two senators wey say they will not sell fighter planes to us because we mistakenly bombed IDP camp. Na today US they fumble ? SO SO mouth they get. |
