I guess you have gotten visa. Any airline is really ok.as far as they are.coming to Canada and the city in Canada you are going like KLM, Ethiopian airline, BA. 7k is good and also mention to them that you have your cards in case. Do you have doctor already and where to stay?

its pretty straight forward and like hotstepper mentioned there's no section for stating if one is pregnant or not. However there's an additional optional section for any explanation in support of your application where you can upload an explanation letter if you want to.

MrsOJ and @Dyt, I want to thank these characters that were involved in supplying real life stories of theirs and others that contributed wisely.
Someone said Nairaland is not the place to get solution to my question, but I want to tell that person that he/she was wrong.

I think Nairaland is the best place to get solution to issues like these because you avoid telling your stories to people, family, friends or Pastors that know you and can use your case to spite you in your presence or absence.

I don't know MrsOJ and she doesn't know me. She may even be my neighbour but the e-partition between us makes it easy to share my mind with you guys.

So, after all you peoples ideas, bashings and wise suggestions I sat down with my wife and I realised that I need to do more, it is not easy.
In my mind I decided to add extra 40k to her monthly allowance but I told her 20 which she greatly appreciated and was very happy about it.

There are problems that are easily solvable if due diligence and round table solution are applied. I was able to understand what I did not see that were happening. And I also see that, since I have been getting pay rise to be able to reach 500k salary, which is still continous, my wife also deserves pay rise.

So people, thank you very much for your input God bless you. And the person that is collecting below 200k, you will be promoted to 1million naira per month. All of you will experience economic turn around that will change your stories for good. It is already happening, those who stole Nigeria money are already returning them and courts that will accellerate probation of corrupt politicians and government officials are being setup by the President elect to collect substancial stolen funds. Ah!!! Patience Jonathan da'ran(she is in trouble).

When my hubby thought I spend a lot on feeding, I started writing down every single thing I buy even if na 5 naira and at the end of the month, I will present it to him. Infact, there was a time he went to the market to buy stuff and came back.and told.me na wah oo, everything is so expensive and feeding went from 30k to 50k cuz sometimes i.will put 1 fish instead of 2. At a point he started saying ' I won't suffer to make money and suffer to eat it' lol. Even at that, he has bought lands and will soon start building yet he's training his siblings nd taking care of his mum.

I.dont think any woman won't want good thing for her family like owning their own house etc. I still think you have to discuss with your wife. Mind you, I cook soup everyday cuz no light where we are etc.

We also have education fund for our kids for uni with put money every month. I don't get any allowance nd it's from the feeding that I use to do my hair but then we don't live in expensive and big city

Why don't you communicate well with her? Lay out monthly expenses and the two of you will go through it. If you are in Naija, 50k for a family is four is ok if not enough. I will use myself as an example.

I was not working and only my hubby works and it was just myself, him and our son of less than 2 yrs old but 50k was given to me for food. Food item increases everyday and now with fuel scarcity, market women will increase the price of food stuff as transportation cost also increased .

He also provided fuel as power was in my house 24/7. I mean, we had all the sizes of generator plus Lester, inverter and rechargeable fan and he wasn't making up to you plus have family members he supports, although no school fees to be paid for my son but was for his siblings in uni. Etc.

Each family is peculiar so you need to lay out things with your wife. U can also buy inverter if you don't have any yet and rechargeable fan as it will serve her during the day. If possible, take a trip to the market too etc.

There's no excuse for any man/husband to pour food on his wife so there's no reason to even remotely imagine or suggest that the abused woman in this regard is not without blame or does it mean she had it coming then? Mbanu! No way!

They accept naija test here and depending on how far you are, some tests can't be done again anyway and they go ahead and ask you to do necessary test. My family friend came at 8 months and it's only 1 test that she did

I am in Toronto. And she used Humber River, the Finch site.

It will be much better for u to get naija travel document for just 1 way cuz it will be much easier for u. A lot of mess goes on at da naija embassy. My family friend got hers within 3 days so she will get naija passport for her son in naija.

Unfortunately I do not know anything about hospitals in that city but you are lucky that your sister stays there.

You can get passport in 2 days sef once you pay for express, under than that, u can get it within a week.

first do you have any information on doctors in Calgary? I am currently looking for a doctor there as that's where im interested in birthing.

I know there are only 4 hospitals in Calgary Foothill, Rockyview, South Health Campus and Peter Lougheed Centre.

My sister has booked an appointment with her family doctor to ask on my behalf but I just wanted to know if you had any info on ObyGyns there.

Secondly do you have an idea what the process of securing the baby's passport is like? duration, process etc.
