Infact, I can't get enough of this forum! You guys are too much! Whizkid and twinkledew just hit the nail on the head. It is very true that you pay through your nose here. Even to own a single car na wahala, paying all sort of taxes, etc. I think it is better to go and take a good job in Naija(Seun, sorry oh) but it has to be with a big company that pays well so that one will have no cause to regret going back home.

I was just looking through the website and I found out that there are only 4351 students in the University. That's about 0.0004% of students in Nigeria. Shows that only the privileged few can afford it.

Oluwaseun, don't compare these private schools with [I]sitting at home[/I]. What school is not better than sitting at home? Even learning a trade (Tailorlogy, Hairdresserology) is better than sitting at home. Rate them based on the educational standard that is needed for a country and their fees and see if they meet up to expectation. Now that is what I am talking about.

Having said that, wouldn't rather pay 200 - 250,000 per annum to be educated than sit at home for an indefinite period of time or spend 6-7 years on a 4 year course in an under-funded, over-crowded university where you are not able to gain any form of practical experience?

And what form of practical experience can be gained in the so-called private institutions? Aside the strike actions, I don't think all these private schools are better than the federal and state schools in any way! They are just collecting money. My sister is in Babcock and the school is wack.
