Answer me. I can bet your answer is NO. My beauty is far worth than these, it is unquantifiable, fllowing from within and captivating.......................... shall I go on?
Wow! I love this. Go gurl....

If she reads this she will be discouraged and when we try to interview her she'll reject it.

How are we going to attract fans of Genevieve Nnaji if we keep yabbing her like this huh
I think you are even going to attract them more...cos they love defending her so much! They'll come and tell you why she's going to Hollywood by 2006!

Actually there are not many women who possess both beauty and brains. And there are not many handsome and smart guys too.

IAH: If it involves sexual relationship, then it won't be too nice for two close friends or relatives to have shared the same guy/girl before.
That is why some of us are campaigning against premarital sex. It makes things too complicated. It makes heartbreak inevitable.
I am also a supporter of "NO SEX B4 MARRIAGE"

What sort of ACT would prevent a husband from disclosing info to his wife? I would read his text messages, e-mails, letters, diary, WILL and any other private info. Even now that I'm not married, I read all these things. (never read will, though rolleyes ) You just have to sneak.

Isn't it just nice to know that some women are sending text messages to your husband? As for me, When I'm married, I want women to be chasing my husband. As long as he's not answering them. So that they can be envying me grin And vice versa! (so that they can be envying my husband too..LOL)

You know Nigerians, they like to overblow their little trumpets. An unknown fashion designer abroad will be declared as "the hottest fashion designer in France" while another unknown wannabe model will be dubbed "making waves in US", another local-champion-musician/actor will come and tell you he's got hundreds of millions of fans across the globe, I saw an edition of Ovation magazine with this headline "Prof. Philip Emeagwali, World's biggest scientist speaks" Indeed!

If I can check my friend's phone, why can't I check my partner's phone. I won't even call it "check" cos checking means I'm suspicious of something. I'm just "looking".
TV/MoviesInterview with Ifeoma Dike [culled from Punch] by IAH(op): 12:05pm On Jun 22, 2005
Read this interview conducted 3 days ago with Ifeoma Dike, the last woman standing in the Gulder Ultimate Search and Seun's latest crush grin.

Ifeoma Dike was the last woman standing at the recently concluded Gulder Ultimate Search 2. Her performance has not only earned her a million naira from Governor Donald Duke of Cross River State, she’s also enjoying media presence. In this interview, she bares her view on her experience, life and relationshi with other searchers in the Fort MAX camp.

Did you expect to get to the stage you got to in the programme?

I was surprised to hear that I had been selected because I didn’t take it seriously at all. But then I got this conviction in my spirit, even my mum said it, that I was going to make it to the last 10. And while the game was on, there was a time I sprained my knee (when we had to cross the beam and opponents were throwing bags at us). So, before it was time for elimination, my knee was healing and I guess luck and God was on my side. After the fourth eviction, I began to have that confidence again that definitely I was going to go far.

How did you feel when Anita was eliminated and you became the last woman standing?

Her elimination was a shock to me, because I hadn’t really recovered from my knee injury and I felt she was stronger because she’s much older and more vocal than me.

When it was only three of you left, did it at any point, occur to you that you could find the Golden Helmet and win the competition?

Honestly, I didn’t believe that I actually could make the last three. It came as a shock to me. But then, I became encouraged by the development. I began to nurse the ambition that I might eventually discover the treasure and win the competition. Unfortunately, God had other plans, so the best man had to win.

Now that you have won N2 million for yourself. I mean N1m for being the last woman standing and the other N1m for being the second runner-up, how do you plan to spend your N2 million?

N2 million may seem like a lot of money, but with our economy these days, you’ll agree with me that it’s not much. But first of all, I’ll pay my 10% tithe, that is N200,000 gone. I’m left with N1.8m. I’m definitely going to give a larger share of it to my mum to help me invest it. I’ll also invest in Nigerian Breweries Plc shares. Then I’ll take my friends out, change my wardrobe and maybe, buy a car (laughs).

Vaughan seemed to be the closest to you at Fort Max base Camp, do you like him?

Uh! Vaughan seemed, I love the word “seemed”, “seemed to be close to me”, but I don’t think there was anything. Yeah! He was really close to me, but nothing more, nothing less.

So, no emotional attachment to him, especially the way you felt when he was evicted?

No! The reaction I had at his eviction was because I had this thought and feeling that the final search for the treasure was actually going to be among three men. I didn’t know where I got that notion from, but it was just in my head. So when he was evicted and I was now left with two men, I couldn’t believe it, because in my head, I had this notion that it was three men, may be because I watched the programme last year. So, I had this notion that three men were going to search for the treasure at the final stage. His eviction came to me as a shock, because I was expecting that I would be the next person to go, considering the fact that we were four left, that I had to go. As to my liking Vaughan or Vaughan liking me, the true of the issue is, as Vaughan said in one of his interviews, he said he had a crush on me initially, but now he had gotten over his crush. All the while he had the crush on me, I told him that he’s not my kind of guy. So, there can’t really be anything between us. He’s just my friend, and that’s all he can be or get to. I told him that he can’t be anything more than my friend, because he doesn’t have the qualities I want in a man.

So, what are the qualities you want in a man?

He has to be handsome, not too handsome, but he has to have potentials. He has to be intelligent. He has to be tolerant, because sometimes I could really be a trouble maker. He has to be somebody that understands me. And most important of all, he has to be God fearing and has to love for me and not for anything else.

So, if you didn’t have any special feelings for Vaughan, why did you vote Lucan out and not Martin or even yourself the night you had the opportunity to vote somebody out?

The truth of the matter is, then, I really didn’t know who they were. I didn’t know if they were portraying their true behaviour or not. So, I had to use what I could see, which was their performance in the tasks we’d done so far. If you consider the tasks we undertook before then, Lucan was not performing well. The first one he didn’t get the riddle. Secondly, when we had to do the water fight, he came out with the highest point, which means he was the least contestant. So, putting these two together, I felt that maybe, he was beginning to lose concentration and he was beginning to lag behind. So, I voted him out.

But there is reason to believe that Vaughan told you to vote against Lucan, should the opportunity arise?

That’s not true. Even if it is, remember that I have a mind and a will of my own. I’m a very strong-willed person. I don’t let anybody influence my decision.

Also, there is this belief that your disagreement with Lucan about your washing his plate or his accusation that you’re lazy prompted you to vote against him?

Just like I told you earlier, I voted against Lucan because he was the least performed among the four of us in the last two tasks. No more no less.

You were not seen playing significant role in the kitchen like Chichi and Anita, why?

You need to remember that apart from the fact that I was the youngest in Camp, I was also the youngest female contestant. Initially, Chichi was doing the cooking, because she was older and she took it upon herself to be the mother figure. After her eviction, Anita took over because Esther was evicted almost immediately. I was always supporting Anita in the kitchen. If we were going to cook yam, for instance, I always peeled and cut the yam and washed it, all she did was to cook it by putting ingredients. So, my reason for not being in the kitchen most of the time was because of my age. They always took it upon themselves to act as mother figures and I couldn’t dispute that, considering the fact that I was the youngest. But if you noticed, immediately after Anita was evicted, I started doing all the cooking, and even the boys can attest to it that sometimes they would say ‘Ifeoma, we don’t know that you could cook this well.’

So, what would you say you learnt from Gulder Ultimate Search 2?

I didn’t know I would be this tolerant. I didn’t know I was this strong, because for me to have lasted 20 days, it’s not 20 minutes, neither is it 20 seconds. I have learnt that the sky is the limit to anything we want to do. We are the ones inhibiting ourselves. I learnt how to interact with people and to give everybody opportunity to express themselves. These, and many more, are some of the things I learnt in Fort Max.

Who was your closest pal at Fort Max base Camp?

Do I have a close pal? I was close to Anita and Vaughan. I would have said Esther, but she didn’t stay too long.

Who would you have expected to win the competition?

Vaughan. But his “gra-gra” was too much. He was too aggressive. If he had just collected himself and been calmer, I think he would have won the competition, but he was always too forward. He was always picking quarrels with everybody, trying to be controversial and that led him into trouble. It’s not easy for six people to come and vote one person out. We were four remaining; I was thinking they would vote me out, being the only girl left. That showed you the height of the level of conflict he caused in the Camp.

How many are you in your family?

We are just three: my mum, my younger brother and I.

What about your dad?

My dad is late.

Sorry about that. When did he die?

He died 17 years ago.

And your mum did not remarry?

She didn’t.

You are studying Psychology at the University of Lagos, what level are you?

I’m in my first year.

How do you hope to cope with the lectures you have missed after one month of Gulder Ultimate Search?

Thank God that I have a very good friend who will help me with notes and arrange one or two things. My school was on strike, we resumed just before we went for the Search. I know that I still have time to catch up before exams begin. Thank God for the intellect and brain that God has given me. I have the ability to assimilate things very quickly. So I don’t think there’ll be much problem for me.

TV/MoviesGenevieve Nnaji for Hollywood? by IAH(op): 12:53am On Jun 22, 2005
Is Hollywood ready for Genevieve Nnaji?
I am not the one asking o! Genevieve herself is asking. She wrote this article on July 23, 2004

The recent article of Bovi Ugboma on RMD’s column made quite an interesting read for me and I had to go inside myself and think about this Hollywood brouhaha. Mr. Bovi thinks I would make quite a success in Hollywood (I do too) but he actually raised some mind boggling questions which I think only me can find answers to. I don’t think he was talking directly to me but he nevertheless made his thoughts known so I would like to reply him on some of the issues he touched.

Before I go further, I have seen lots of articles on why I should not be a columnist and I am so surprised by some people’s outburst. I think everyone has a right to express him or herself, and If anyone has a grudge with what I write then the simple thing to do is flip over my column when you see it. I don’t think I have in anyway expressed vanity or presented myself in a way that would give me the name arrogant, but for no reason I can think of, some people just don’t like my column. I am consoled by the fact that not everyone must like me. I do try my best to be nice but if my best is not good enough, it’s not my fault, ok? In Hollywood, a musician can be an actor, a columnist, or whatever else he decides to add to his profession, why should it be different here?
I am quite flattered that Mr. Bovi would single me out for Hollywood if he were given a chance to choose an actress and to this, I say thank you to him for recognising my talent and appreciating me.

Now to the point he raised. Would I be able to stand the heat in Hollywood? Hollywood is not better than Nollywood, it’s just that they have better tricks to make the movies look real but anyone that can survive the heat of movie making here and make a name, can make it anywhere else. Here, we deal with real-life stories, Hollywood is make-believe.

Of course, it’s not easy climbing up the ladder in Hollywood but is it easy anywhere else? Will I be able to cope with their professional standards? Will I be able to cope with the beauty rave and madness of Hollywood? Will I do my nose, do my chin, have breasts implant or enlarge my lips? Hmmm, questions that need answers!

I am an African woman and if Hollywood needs me because of my African heritage, wouldn’t it be so silly to change it all when I get there? Would it be wise to change it all and not be able to fit back into the society that made me? I do agree that Hollywood is the dream of every actress, but I don’t agree that losing ones head in the madness is worth it. Oh yes, I will go on diets, (I do here too) and do every physical exercise to get my body into shape but that’s all I can say for now.
I couldn’t help laughing when Mr. Bovi almost concluded by asking me if I would be able to handle the press. What a question!… I am sure that every person who has ever been written about in Nigeria would agree with me that if you can survive the war with the Nigerian press, you have a thick skin to see you through the press anywhere else in the world. I am not boasting, but I think I have had more than my fair share of press coverage and it’s done me more good than harm. I have African skin which is thick so comparing me to the likes of Elvis Presley, Benny Hill, Marilyn Munroe and many others who were depressed by press coverage would be a mistake.

Mr. Bovi concluded in a rather dramatic way and I said AMEN when I got to that part, quoting him he said, “I believe if Genevieve goes to Hollywood, her prowess would speak for her and eventually she would make it to the top to become perhaps the second black woman to win an Oscar for Best Actress. Also the second African woman but most importantly, the first black African. All these I believe can come to pass if Genevieve goest to Hollywood!”

What I want Mr. Bovi to think about is not if Genevieve goes to Hollywood, he shouldn’t bother himself with the if’s and the what’s, the GOD I serve doesn’t sleep on me and if he wills it, I will go to Hollywood and if he lets me get there, it’s to make an African statement with my African-ness. The question should be “IS HOLLYWOOD READY FOR GENEVIEVE?”

Is this girl not just dreaming? Comparing Hollywood with Nollywood. She still has a looooooooooooooong way to go. Or what do you think?

sorry Seun but no disrespect but a girl with sexuall experience is definately more fun than one without any esp if you asa guy aint got much experience. it spices up any relationship, you know even a girl that could suck your ****. its a mind splitting experince
@sage And what makes you think a virgin cannot suck ur ****?? Since you are joined in holy matrimony, man, don't limit what she can do o!
@ladies out there, Come to think of this scenario, the guy you once slept with in your "Sisi" days now became your husband's best friend. How would you relate with him properly infront of your husband? To avoid this kind of "shadows-from-your-past-chasing-you" scenarios, STAY PURE! I know men are not worth keeping your virginity for, but for a few reasons like early pregnancy leading to abortion which may lead to infertility/death, or early pregnancy disrupting your education, and for the sake of Biblical principles, KEEP IT!

ComputersRe: Linux or Windows Operating System? by IAH(f): 2:55pm On Jun 21, 2005
I don't think you can download Mac OS because it runs on Apple computers and it's not free. You can visit www.apple.com/macosx. It's very good and not prone to viruses like Windows but the main snag is that you miss out on a lot of games and other softwares which cannot run on it. Some are cross-platform, though.
@shockreaction, good luck on your project. I don't think you need to use 2 OSes to develop cross-platform games. If you develop with OpenGL and OpenAL on Windows, it works on all platforms.

I think you can contact Genevieve Nnaji via the e-mail address on her website and tell her your motive. She can do a chat-interview with you if you tell her there are many of her fans on your website(which is true abi?) She might respond cos she did same with a discussion forum on Nigerian movies and she actually collected numbers of some of her fans who are members of the forum and called them. I can't say if she'll answer but it's worth giving a try.

This is not the debate! Seun, go and sleep rolleyes You have been trying to tell me this tale of "men running when I'm rich" since. I refuse to concur. RomanceRe: Every 'First Love' Is Infatuation by IAH(f): 9:47pm On Jun 20, 2005
You can't possibly love someone without being infatuated at te same time. Every True Love comes with infatuation as a component but Infatuation can happen without Love. Infatuation is like a child of Love, so when Love visits you, it brings along its child. But infatuation sometimes sneaks out on its mother (Love) and visits you alone.
