Kenya has beautiful women who manage to rep their culture, but we never see their men at all. Can Kenyans here showcase their handsome men representing their culture all over the world like Nigerian men?
Our essence of being truly AFRICAN has become part of our everyday lives and when we showcase it, people all over are dazzled.
U see Kenyans, we Nigerians have designed and tailored our culture to presentable world standards and become the most influentiat in Africa.
Development is not just about building sky scrappers or highrise buildings. How well has your own culture been developed and promoted to suit world standards and influence?
It's time to show what make us Africans Africans.
Let me entertain Kenyans with the most beautiful culture that AFRICA has to offer
Good morning guys, are u guys not tired of your random nairobi and random Lagos pictures? Since the beginning of this thread till now? What points have u guys proved? Oya compare Dubai, Jakarta or Beijing to Lagos and Nairobi. We have something so beautiful and unique that no other people in the world have- OUR CULTURE.
shizzy7:So beautiful. I love the calabar people so much. They are really making we Nigerians proud with their display of cultures. They now have the biggest street carnival in Nigeria. We Nigerians have done well in promoting our cultural attires, i think just like Calabar what we need to do is create a greater platform and well organized carnivals for the display of these cultures. Tourism is not just about beaches and wildlife parks. |
ArchieTaylor:It's good u admitted it. We Nigerians do wear Jeans too a lot and especially in the south, but when it comes to social and formal gatherings we can never compromise our cultural attires. Infact it is considered insultive and very inappropriate to come to an occasion on western clothes. Our elderly and middle aged people wear traditional clothes most of the time. Kenyanstar:Kenya has some good traditional prints and styles but the problem is that u guys are not refinning it, modernizing it and promoting it. |
Muafrika2:Hahahaha, are u for real? Is this the best u Kenyans can do?
Well we Nigerians will continue to promote our Africaness, we just cannot fail Black Africa as the largest black Nation on the face of the earth.
From the comments i can see here, most Kenyans are ashamed of promoting their cultures as Africans and its really sad
NairobiWalker:Ok, what point have u guys made with all the argument about cities and structures? We still cannot compete with most Europeans, Asians and Arabs in that aspect and all we do if fight for the 'king of the blind' title. One thing Europeans can never brag about teaching us is our own culture. Can't u see how many people the Brazillian cultural carnival attract from all over the world? Deal with it Kenyans, Nigeria can boast the most beautiful, promoted and improved cultural attires in Africa.
ArchieTaylor:We are Africans and our cultures are one of the things that make us unique. I watch Tanzanian songs and i saw them on full fledged Nigerian attires, i was like 'what'? Thats the extent of our cultural influence.
Muafrika2:U guys use yours for fashion display only. Ours is part of our everyday life.
ArchieTaylor:It may look like curtain to you, but these are expensive Nigerian made fabrics. Most Nigerians were not walking naked in the bushes when the colonial masters came, they met people with woven cotton fabrics with great empires who were trading across the Sahara even to the middle east. This tells u we started getting civilized b4 u guys Handsome eh? Nigerian men
Muafrika2:Perhaps u can show us some. Cos i have practically searched all cultural fashion trends all over the continent and i found out that east africans are really lagging behind. Even a country like Ethiopia with so much beautiful attires, yet they dont promote it. Show us pls if u guys really do promote yours.
shizzy7:Yeah lets leave them to continue their unending argument over towers and highrise buildings. LoL Am from the north and this is how we northern women roll with culture
Nigerians have the most beautiful people and culture in Africa and we are not ashamed of it like others who do not promote theirs.
You guys should give all these your structures competition a rest and lets talk about what makes we Africans who we are- OUR CULTURE.
Kenyans should start promoting their everyday cultural attires like Nigerians do
When you talk about cultural and media influence in Africa, Nigeria really has the greatest influence. My elder brother who visited Kenya told me that Kenyans hardly display their cultural elements like attires and cuisines like Nigeria does. Nigerians, we have managed to retain our cultures and modernize and promote them far better than Kenyans and many other Africans. Check these elegant Nigerian couples out.
So this thread still on. Nigerians and Kenyans. I admire the people of both countries and i agree that we both have our weaknesses and strength, but i think my Kenyan brothers should just agree that Nigeria really has more potentials that they do. We Nigerians have tried to manage the largest black nation in the world and in Africa and we still manage to fare better than others in many aspects. A country with a higher population and greater landmass always have the potentials of becoming bigger, better and more relevant than smaller ones. |
Later igbos will be crying that all Nigerians hate them when we all patronize their businesses. Smh |
Stingman:Igbos dont share border with any country, they are landlocked by other tribes. That is natures doing. |
Okay |
MisterGrace:Leave him alone, we know their types. People of low self esteem who have allowed the hausa-fulanis deceive them with fake islamic brotherliness. They are ready to sell their people just to make hausas accept them because of islam. They should go to the north during religious crisis and see that their likes are the category of people the hausas first attack calling them fake muslims. |
FSBoperator:Exactly, because of islam and religious brainwashing, ebiras have become aboki wannabes. They want to be hausa by all means, forgetting that no matter how big a cat is it can never be a lion. The average igala man sees a hausa man as a foreigner but sees yorubas and igbos as his neighbours, except for the islamized igalas who want to be more islamic than the arabs. |
MisterGrace:What about Benue state? At least Kogi has something in common with the North. Which is Islam. Benue state is 95% christian and they have absolutely nothing in common with hausa-fulanis. We are actually middlebelters (central Nigerians) but the british colonialists connived with hausa-fulani emirs to forcefully lump us all as AREWA, in order to make the Hausa dominated north look so big and intimidating to yorubas and Igbos. |
Stingman:Na border we won chop? SE is a homogenous region which can easily be united unlike northern minorities who requested for one region but were carved into the 3 different regions of the north to be manipulated by Hausa-fulanis. |
