You cant be hailed playing against the messis of this world as a dm without getting good numbers in successful tackles. makelele was a good tackler. You cant play down tackles in top flight football. Successful tackle is an essential parameter for evaluating DMs bro.
No it's not. Makeleles tackle rate was very low at Chelsea. Makelele only made 114 tackles in 144 EPL matches, less than 1 per game

https://www.premierleague.com/players/2454/player/stats

Now if you are talking Makelele at Madrid, he made higher no of tackles because he was the only defensive player and all his actions were to stop counterattacks which meant more last ditch tackling. At Chelsea, he was in a controlled midfield where he would just control space until you run into a cul-de-sac and lose possession.

Also what is the difference between making 0.8 tackles per game and 1.7 tackles per game?

Does a jambody player like Wanyama look like somebody that needs to tackle you when he can just shade you off the ball? Do you know that almost every time a player of Wanyamas size goes to ground to make a tackle, he gets a yellow card?

Force = MA. It is the mass in that equation that makes big players not to accelerate into tackles otherwise it would be construed as violent play.

It is small players like Kante and Gueye that need to go to ground to win the ball cos they can't do it by strength. That's why I said no of tackles is an indication of your style of play, nothing more.

Goals: 51
Assists: 31
82 goal/assist in 76 games.
This is why I stay away from comparing Hazard to Neymar. His productivity record is top notch.

You mean how some smart governors like Amaechi and Fashola forced GEJ to unbundle the booty? Sure GEJ was 'weaker' than OBJ in terms of dealing with governors, but please don't minimize the roles of these 2 thieving governors turned Buhari saviors.
Governor cannot force President to do anything. Force ko, force ni. Governors have been asking for ECA since time immemorial. All the Governors need do is ask as usual and a weak President needing them to rig upcoming elections for him was more than happy to oblige.

What exactly is your point, has Kante not been better than his countepart in all ramifications??
Kante has better than every midfielder.

So are you planning to sign Kante to come and partner Kante? Receive sense.

I said don't ask stewpid questions about no of tackles cos if you get deep into it, you may find your favourite DMs not named Kante or Gueye trailing Matic in that regard.

Judging from those pics, all thanks to Kante, only God knows where we would be without that man in our midfield, he is the real deal.
Good nyt bro.
You need to go check what Wanyama is doing, never mind what Kante is doing. Matic outtackles Wanyama.

I have told you clowns to stop looking at tackle statistics which tells you nothing except for a players style of play. Not all players need to tackle to turnover possession.

Ask Fashola and Ameachi how the ECA was bundled.
I know how the ECA was unbundled. OBJ was there 8 years and nobody unbundled. Oga Jona used it to buy the Governor's support for 2011 elections. That's how the ECA was unbundled.

Even if we accept this pittypatty weak willed excuse, where is FGs 50% share?

Save your story for the political newcomers. I was here following on New Year's day 2010 when Jonathan opened the account to buy the Governor's support. In the dead of night when everyone was out throwing knockout and fireworks, they started sharing the savings that OBJ had guarded fastidiously for 8 years.

Once you gain experience in cycling, you will find it is as safe as houses. Na those fear-fear people for road dey always crash or die. My first major route cycling was from Walthamstow to Mile End in uni days. The first day, na him I tell my classmate say fear been dey catch me for Bow roundabout because of the fast moving traffic at those junctions leading to Blackwall Tunnel. That's when he schooled me that most deaths on the road are women cyclists because they are too polite. He said, any junction, just pull out way in front of the vehicles at the traffic light let them see you. If na trailer or Bus, pull out centre-front of him so he will see you clearly. Never ride alongside bus or trailer, always be front-centre or way behind them. If you apply these principles, you would never have any issue on the roads, and I never did after that.

the FG is pumping more money into the forex market & its only natural that reserves drop.

the problem here is that PMB's Social Media Idi*ots are too daft to know that this was the same scenario in the past that led to the depletion of the reserves coupled with massive payments on subsidy.

I also use to waka this same route 5 years ago sha. I use to walk from Finsbury Park to my office building directly opposite great Portland street station on Euston road. On a good day, it only took me about 80 minutes.

Mind you Finsbury Park is our route when cycling. chic2pimp would tell you the scariest part of the commute is crossing Holloway Road to pass through Camden or Angel, cos you could be squeezed easily between two trucks when setting yourself up on that junction. . . . . that's unless he uses the Stamford Hill-Stoke Newington route.

According to Squawka, his worst performance this season was against City. He has a pass accuracy of 87% with 78% being forward passes. Decent partner for Kante but he still needs to improve and a little conte in his football would get the best out of him. btw, I don't see Conte sticking to 3-4-3 next season.
With 47 passes per game (could be Monacos style) and 1 assist all season, plus visual evidence of the 2 matches I watched, I'm putting him in Kondogbia bracket for now till I see different.

Bakayoko's got similar passing range compared to Yaya Toure, technically good but not much of a goal scorer like him. On the other hand Chalobah's not at that level yet to be entrusted with the job Bakayoko does at Monaco. Maybe in 2-3 years provided he gets enough games and improve.
Are you sure? I wasn't impressed with his passing against City sha.

In the CL Aguero chilling on 5 goals

Aguero gave him brace against Monaco, he couldn't even protect a 2 goal lead.

When I mentioned it here like 2-3months ago, some posters went up in arms

Of course in the next few games he will score a few goals here and there though I dont have the stats but the eye test shows that he is missing more chances than he used to, He cant hold up like Zlatan he cant press like Costa or Suarez

Even now when the midfielders work and serve him chances on a plate, this is what he does to them in the last 2 games alone these are the chances that made the highlight reel
Pep ball licker spotted.

Aguero chilling on 25 goals like kilode?

Good day y'all. I'm a fresh graduate of Unilag with a pass degree. I studied mathematics and statistics. Any idea what type of job I can do with my certificate. Serious ideas pls...
I commend you on your degree. Whether 1st class or pass, a Maths & Stats degree carries weight with me.

The quickest way to convert your degree into a better degree is to go for ACCA and enrol on the Oxford Brookes option to bag an accounting degree from the UK. With exemptions from your 1st degree, you can get a BSc within 9 exams and a thesis, roughly 18 months should do it. You will need about N1m to execute it though.

So yes we can't ignore Cahill, Matic and any other passenger once again so they can break our hearts again next season ....

You are right, there is something more to it
So why all the talk about Fabregas? Someone who is not even the solution now will not be the solution next season.

Matic is serviceable even in the heat of UCL next season, Fabregas is not.

Matic and Fabregas is like Thiago and Veron in 2004. Veron had no long term future but Thiago was very serviceable and still woulda been serviceable had Essien not replaced him.

Fabregas has no long term future in 3-4-3. I see no sense in encouraging him and his supporters. He will make few assists and have people supporting his extended stay meanwhile just setting you up to be carrying long term structural weakness. Look how long it took to get the structural weakness of Juan Mata out the door because of his supporters. If someone is going to create such problems for you tactically as a manager, it's better you freeze them out like Veron and Mata than allow them develop a groundswell of fan support.

Ok then. it would be interesting to see how Chelsea fare in Europe next season........ wink
Except it would only be worse in Europe for Fabregas. The PSG game where they went down to 10 men, even their depleted two man midfield were bullying him all over the park to the point he could not carry himself and his team across the halfway line. How quickly we forget. The tougher the game the more of a liability Fabregas becomes.

No team in history has ever been successful deploying Fabregas in a midfield two. The closest was Chelsea in 14/15 and as soon as teams sussed him out as a weak point halfway through the season, he was redeployed to AM and Zouma brought in. I don't plan for Chelsea to be a team that stacks their prospects on Fabregas being a mainstay in a midfield two. He has no track record of success in that position from 2004 till date.
