For the third year in a row, Oscar fails to be nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year, yet some ninjas told us he was top-3 or top-5 young player in the world. In other news, Raheem Sterling gets his second nomination in a row. . . . |
Raiders:You are an eediot. May you die in poverty since you love those who oppress and steal from you. |
3 odd numbers can never add up to an even number so why try? |
TheGoodJoe:If anything he was overrated hence the reason someone thought he was worth £35m when he was clearly not, and paid him an extortionate salary to boot. He was simply brought down to his real level by the coaches who benched him. Cantona must be smoking crack to claim he is the best player in the world. Just yesterday, Messi, Neymar, Suarez and Busquets proved that Cantona needs to go for check-up. |
Story for the Gods. Someone who couldn't make PSG or Argentina team until this season. He's improved in the last 6 months is all I can say. |
Shakara go soon end |
raumdeuter:You are talking of names, we are talking of matches. 07/08 was Browns finest season in his rightful position (RB). He was not a passenger. He was one of the best players in the final, and borne out by his superb assist. Nobody carried him, he carried himself. QED. raumdeuter:Footballers are memorable for playing well or playing rubbish. Hazard is unmemorable so I assumed he had an average game. What was memorable though is who played well: Ivanovic, Lampard, Cech, Torres - all newspapers scored them 7 or 8. And what was also memorable is who stank out the match: Mata and Ramires. 90% of newspapers scored them 5 or 6. Believe you me, if we lost that match, Mata would be the NO 1 reason for losing that match due to the tactical instability he brought to the team because of the unbearable pressure on our midfield and defence caused by Mata being swatted aside like a paperweight everytime. He was nonexistent in the midfield, a 12 year old boy playing with men, the DEFINITION of PASSENGER. Cech and wayward Benfica finishing saved us from the tactical imbalance caused by carrying that passenger in midfield. It is the same story with Mata everywhere he goes, so I'm not making things up. The Europa final was one of those games he causes WAY more harm than good to the team. Pulling numbers telling me he had two assists means nothing. Yet he scored 5 and 6 in most Player ratings? He would have scored 4/10 if not for those lucky statistics on his side. Here is the first of Matas "assists". The second was a corner. Apart from that, we were playing with 10 men. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTTzOlnKj0A |
raumdeuter:Calling players names will not justify the passenger status you gave him. Wes Brown was superb that season and was no passenger. He assisted Utds goal in the final by dribbling his man and floating a left-foot cross onto Ronaldos head . . . . and was solid in shutting out Barcelona in the semis. He was a solid right-back that season. Malouda was the worst player on the pitch in the final. . . . so Brown musta been doing his job right. raumdeuter:Ninjas on this thread have told you to stop quoting numbers every second. Mata was a complete liability in the final. An indirect contribution for Torres' goal does not change that, nor does a corner kick for Ivas goal. He was the BIGGEST PASSENGER on the pitch just like in UCL final in Munich (even though you might tell me he floated the corner for DDs goal) Despite his "two assists", why did he score the lowest out of all offensive players in the ratings below? He must have really sucked @zz. Juan Mata: Superb long ball to Oscar nearly caught Benfica out early but after that pretty much disappeared as a creative force for Chelsea - 5/10 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/400016/Chelsea-and-Benfica-Europa-League-Final-player-analysis http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/europa-league/10060397/Europa-League-final-how-the-Chelsea-and-Benfica-players-rated-in-Amsterdam.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/chelsea-2-1-benfica-match-report-1891734 I dare you find me one player rating on the whole internet that gave him above 6/10. He was the definition of passenger in that final. |
raumdeuter:Wes Brown was not a passenger in Manures UCL win abeg. He played well that season and all through that tournament. Mata and Ramires were the biggest passengers in Europa League final. Hazard was inbetween. The only ninjas who could hold their head high that day were the back four, especially Ivanovic, Cech, Lampard and Torres. |
Keky:In the air, I'm sure that job would be left to Mertesacker. |
Bertrand Traore is a simply amazing player. He first came to my attention in the U-17 World Cup about 5 years ago where he was one of the best players in the tournament. Then he was 14 years old (and he truly looked 14, not African age.) He used to play left-back then. Then I started hearing rumours that he is shining as a winger now, I saw some Chelsea friendlies and Burkinabe games and alas he had transformed into a skillful winger. Now, the last 13 games, he's been playing as a central striker for Vitesse and has 10 goals and 3 assists. If Middlesbrough come up, I'd say let Bamford get some good minutes on loan and keep Bertrand as 3rd striker/ substitute winger. |
AirborneLacer:Its either or on all positions except left-back and DM. If we say RLC is too inexperienced for this fixture, what makes Zouma more experienced? RLC has a lifetime of experience in central midfield, while Zouma is still as much a rookie to the position. Now is a good time as any to give the kid a chance as we have credit in the bank. Also, I'm convinced Mata is a weak link and can be exploited by Felipe Luis. Mata could not live with him. Felipe and Hazard on that left wing should completely pin back Valencia, and if Mata refuses to track back with Luis, we can make great gains on that side. Playing Azpi on that side puts us on the back foot, allowing Mata to stay on the front foot. Put Mata on the back foot and his whole wing will collapse. |
Pundits are speculating that Zouma will be used in midfield against Manure to curtail Fellainis height. I say use Ruben Loftus Cheek there. He'll curtail height and play his midfield game. My team to face United: . . . . . . . . Cech Azpi. . . Zouma. . . .Terry. . . . Luis . . . . RLC. . . . . . Matic Willian.......Fab4..........Hazard . . . . .. . .Oscar They wont see space to breathe in midfield. Mata wont be able to track Felipe Luis. And Oscar over DD upfront cos well, he's 37. They won't know what hit them in midfield. Even Oscar will be joining the midfield to overrun them |
Keky:I see no big ears in Arsenals collection, not even Europa league. Clown! |
Keky:Not as funny as living life as an Arsenal fan. Even A-40 had to flee from such destiny. |
Tval:No be your friend? |
Great achievement. Make I go climb everest put my name in the history books join. |
coogar:Of course it's pre-written. The difference between Em and us is that he can afford to sit in the studio all day and do that. We need to go in with our material ready. |
AirborneLacer:Drogbas real age is 37. That's what yo expect from any striker aged 37, whether African, European or Australasian. |
coogar:There's a big difference between freestyling and memorising the lyrics you are going to spit. When the flow is complicated, it is sometimes better to memorise as you go along making the rap, because of the nuances in the flow you want to project or the tongue twisting you might want to apply does not allow you to pause to start writing things down. I have done this with many tracks, difference is I create the first 8 bars or so in my head while the beat is playing, then I write them down so not to forget. This is essentially the same as writing, but without a pen. All Jay-Z and Biggie albums were recorded this way as is all of RZAs albums. I totally believe you if you say Eminem recorded Rap God this way because the flow is complicated, you don't have time to start writing things down otherwise you might forget how you tongue twisted a certain sequence. |
When Matic was "short". . . . he was under 6ft and played as a playmaker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mpyj7R8u9QU |
raumdeuter:Cremate wetin? Una get luck say FPL do me ojoro last week if not I woulda sneaked the last playoff position and took the cup home. |
GIYAZZ:School, work, responsibilities, life. Mind I was 16-21 when I was active then, but had to chill from 2nd year of Uni. I didn't really write from 2004-2007, until I stumbled across AHH.com, then from there to Nairaland. |
Nihilist:No p bro, I wasn't being vindictive, just celebrating my nigga Fabregas. |
Nihilist:I ain't fighting you ninja, just celebrating our victory!!!
|
Nihilist:Shey you laugh when I said he would easily make 30 + in the AM position. He's done it from the pivot sef. Another one down, 4 more wins to go. Blue is the colour! |
Fabregaaaaaaaaaaaaassss!!!! That's 31 goals + assists thís season. cc Nihilist, he done cross 30 oh! |
Drogba is so off colour. We're attacking with a blunt arrowhead. |
I don't know why JM is trying to turn this match into a game of attrition. DD and Ramires starting is the wrong call, he should have gone with Remy and Oscar instead. |
Darkrebel666:Don't Flop wasn't in existence then. In my time we used to battle in Subterranea in Shepherds Bush. The current Don't Flop champion Tony D (then called T Dangerous) used to battle since then. Back then Reveal was the Champion, he beat Tony D in the final of Battle Scars 2002, then you had guys like Grimlock who was fire with the punchlines. He trounced me badly once. From 2001, the main tournament was Battle Scars, from Battle Scars to Jump-Off around 2004, which is when I left the scene. The current Don't Flop crowd all grew out of the Jump Off crowd from 2004-2008 era who used to battle at Scala in King's Cross. Those days we didn't have camera phones so I've got no videos. My junior bro Izzy followed in my footsteps, at least we managed to record this video of him back in 2006, not a battle though just a show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrZZdjyoTeQ |
Una still dey argue this one? Only someone who doesn't know how to freestyle go argue. I have battled on UK formats preceding Jump-Off and Don't Flop, reaching a final of Subterranea 2000 hosted by Canibus and DJ279, and reaching quarter-final of Battle scars 2002 which was the premier UK battle competition then. Miss me with that bullshyt. The nigga who thinks RapGod was freestyled is a nigga who ain't quick with words and thinks freestylers are magicians. The best freestyler of Eminem era was Supernatural, followed by Juice, followed by Em. Em is like every other battler, he turns up to battle with prewrittens, and then he might include a few freestyles depending on how the opponent looks, dresses etc. The skill is in arranging your punchlines on the spot inbetween whatever your freestyling. Believe it or not, the best freestylers currently is Kid Cudi. He does what I call real freestyle, no prewrittens involved. |
coogar:Eminem didn't freestyle in Rap Olympics. Almost every lyric he dropped in that competition turned up on Slim Shady LP album. They were prewrittens. |
