The madman Abramovic in his infantile wisdom believes Strikers are the be all and end all of football. Rumours circulating that he is about to blow his whole summer budget on Falcao when the yawning hole in midfield is the most pertinent problem at Chelsea. It only reveals that Chelsea decision making is in the hands of an unknowledgeable strikerphile who has wasted Chelseas potential on previous purchases of Torres and Sheva when any knowledgeable footie fan knows that with some balance and depth especially in the defensI've midfield, Chelsea can challenge sufficiently with Demba Ba and Lukaku leading the line.

The biggest mistake of this summer would be spending the whole FFP budget on Falcao with Mikel and Ramires still manning the midfield and without a genuine and more defensively aware alternative to Mata and Hazard. . This is why a strong ninja like JM is needed this summer before that Russian and his foolish Man Friday Emenalo ruin the summer once again.

Eze Promoe: How will you push the pride of PH from their ground to an interior location. Or don't you think we deserve something better than the trophyless Sharks? You're boasting of 10,000 capacity when we're talking of 25,000 capacity in Liberation. I would advice you guys to humbly accept the beautiful new stadium regardless of the location, besides it will be a bit advantage for your visitors not to suffer by transporting to the city but to trek down from the airport. The stadium is better than that school field.
How did Eagle Cement take over the most advantageous stadium in Port Harcourt if not for tribalism?

Im not interested in tribal affiliation. We are all one Port Harcourt and Sharks is our traditional team. The powers that be (Ikwerre) should have bought into Sharks and promoted Sharks rather than reviving a defunct private companies team and tribalising it.

CFCfan: Torres's should also score against West Ham, in order to fully regain his confidence.

Anyway, I predict a Chelsea v Real Madrid UEFA Super Cup cool
After 3 years some people are still waiting for Torres to regain his confidence?

If anybody clapping and hoping on Torres to resurrect himself has eyes, he wouldn't want such limited horrendous player leading his team, not even when confident.

Please o, I know the powers that be would see this as an opportunity to protect Torres fragile confidence by selecting him against West Ham but they best not try that rubbish cos I have just purchased Demba Ba for my fantasy team couple days ago!!! angry

Haven't we wasted enough ninjas talents and confidence (Sturridge, Lukaku) trying to protect that horrendous footballers confidence? Now you want them to do the same to Ba. Abeg Torres has cost us enough good people at this club, whether RDM, Sturridge or 2 years of Lukakus life. It's been 3 seasons. Move on!!!

mithel: HIDDINK AS director and mourinho as manager ,emenalo back to scouting ,....wont be bad
Hiddink as director or manager, Emenalo back to scouting or sacked (doesn't matter to me either way), but one thing for sure, Jose ain't working under no TD. But if any director is diplomatic or sensible and tactically aware enough to serve as TD to Mourinho, Hiddink is it. He is tactically aware of different styles and has even played JM style when he was at Chelsea. Not mumu like Emenalo who doesn't know what qualities players need to have to balance each other.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m):
It's obvious the guy above is from the same walk of life as the Maddog Coogar.

Demba Ba has averaged a goal every 180 minutes against the tougher teams, enough cause for the loudmouth bauersballs to start ranting nonsense about Chelsea midfielders being selfish and claiming 13 matches even if Ba only played few minutes of many of those matches.

FACT - Demba Ba is averaging a goal every 2 games which is the striker standard. Eediot like bauersballs with more half arrrsed opinion than sense is ranting nonsense already when Demba Bas foot is barely under the table.

The eediot keeps ranting about Lampard no assists. How many assists does Mikel or any other deep lying midfielder have. The same eediot claim Lampard is taking wild shots but Lamps scored 6 or 7 games in a row from those shots, balls that dropped on the edge of the box to the DM.

Juan Mata has 12 EPL assists, 5 FA Cup assists, 5 league cup assists plus 3 Europan assists yet the dud shekpekeeper could not collect assists giving this loudmouth cause to rant. Hazard in turn has 15 assists. You would not find another club in the premierleague with attacking midfielders posting such numbers.

Not surprising therefore that an eediot who proudly boasted of smoking weed in Agege with areaboys is joining issues with the jobless madman Coogar.

Carry on ranting. oNe!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 9:50pm On Mar 12, 2013
Jackbauersballs is a typical loudmouth who thinks anyone is entitled to an opinion as long as he has the ability to express it with Queens English.

Go check the games David Luiz played in midfield and tell me how many shots he took.

That an unknowledgeable fella should open his big mouth to question the assist ability of the highest assister in Chelsea's history shows he is a fool. If Lamps cannot assist then everybody in the history of the club must be dud at assisting seeing how Lamps tops the assist record.

Beyond Lamps, we currently boast the most productive assister in Europe. We are talking of Mata, a ninja who assisted 26 times last season and is already on 27 assists this season.

Yet this guy is spouting opata because Demba Ba has averaged a goal every two games (the striker standard) against the top teams in the league whilst Torres is reserved for the "come chop" games in which Demba woulda easily averaged a goal a game by now if he was allowed to play.

What's worse is this foolish ninja joining issues with a well known jobless waste of a human being with mental health issues like Coogar.

Please we don't want Coogar displaying his madness on our thread no more. Keep quiet and let the ninja go away.

Meanwhile enjoy this collection from the greatest assister in Chelsea history. You will notice that half of his assists are what some nincompoops term "vertical passes"

Afam4eva: Great thread.

Pls which of the the two teams(dolphins and sharks) does the Rivers state government support. I remember one of the teams complaining that the state governemt was only paying attention to one and ignoring the other.

Which Port-Harcourt divides do the two teams belong to and what part of the city does their fan base come from?
Sharks is Rivers State traditional team, run by our footballing son Adokiye Amaesimaka.

Things have been swinging Dolphins way in terms of political patronage recently because Dolphins is located more centrally in Elekiah an Ikwerre area in the centre of PH whilst Sharks is traditionally attended by and patronised by Okrika people in an intimidating area of town toward the South of the city!

nateevs: I think you have taken my point out of context. My point was not about who of our 2 strikers has performed better. Rather it is about how Ba has not been anywhere near as prolific as he was with Newcastle, despite the fact that he is playing with better midfield players. Regardless of the the number of minutes he's played.
Same could be said of Juan Mata whose shots at goal have gone down lately.

Benitez is just a boring ninja who plays conservative footie yet still unbalanced in midfield, whilst RDM team used to have 20 shots on goal every game whilst unbalanced defensively. The argument was always why Torres failed to shine with MaZaCar behind him when Chelsea were playing uberattacking footie at season start and you and your fellows musketeers told us MaZaCar don't play for the striker. Fact is that Chelsea chances created is a lot less these days due to change of style so the basis of comparison is not the same. Demba Bas chance collection is not out of sync with what the team is producing right now. Someone said Demba had no chances against City. Did any of his teammates? That's just Benitez style of play.

We are happy with Demba Bas contribution and his goal output and shots taken in comparison to the rest of the team. If you check all the matches he played, none of his teammates had excessive shots on goal either due to Benitez defensive set up, not that they are victimising him. The only matches Benitez ever allowed the team to go forward was Leeds, Villa, Nordsjaelland and second half tonight. Apart from that the team hasn't created plethora of chances for anyone. But with Torres, even when his teammates make 20 chances, he will not partake of it.

--------------------------
One thing those with vested interest in the dud must regret is that the way Chelsea created gazillion chances at season start was perfectly set up particularly for Daniel Sturridge style of play. We all remember the game against West Brom where Studge received 3 chances in 15minutes whilst Torres received none in the first 75.

Like my mate said to me on Friday, Studge and Lukaku have the right to go and piss on Abramovic's desk for killing their chances whilst Abramovic's chosen wastepipe led Chelsea into oblivion.

No one's actually answered how we've manged to turn a striker who had 14 EPL goals before joining Chelsea into one who care barely get a shot on target.
Based on goals per minute Demba Ba is averaging a goal every two games which is in keeping with the kinda opposition he's playing, and still 7 times more efficient than shekpe keeper based on goals per minute.

Now no need for disingenuous questions because if Torres wasn't being mollycuddled to play the weakest opposition and still flopping whilst Demba Ba is reserved strictly for the toughest games, then Demba Bas return should be double.

Demba Ba - 4 goals in 700 minutes ie 1 goal every 180 against City, Manure, Swansea, West Brom etc - correct return for those kinda games.

Torres - 1 goal in 950 minutes against Reading, Steau Bucharest and Sparta Prague . . .and that goal was vs Brentford.

No comparison or point to be made

Babamide: After 90minutes against United at Old trafford, I came to the following conclusion:
1. The spirit of Champions is still with the team
2. Benitez is intelligent, he just doesn't want to succeed with chelsea
3. Uncle Frank needs to take a seat and let the boys play
4. Mikel is a must
5. Mazacar is still the best combo
6. Juan Mata is world's best
7. Cech needs to know he can be replaced
8. Torres must have a rare terminal disease we don't know about. And finally,
9. FA cup is our birthright
Benitez made the right changes. United could not pick up MaZaCar and Ramires had loads of vacant space to run into.

One must however know better than to jump to ill informed conclusions on the basis of the peculiarities of a single game.

United had no midfield as Carrick and Cleverley were struggling to pick up MaZaCar which allowed Ramires to exploit gaping space with no resistance.

Put Ramires against a normal midfield where his poor passing and receiving of the ball is exposed by packed midfields and you will see see what we saw earlier on the season when Ramires/Mikel combo barely won a game in 3 months and failed woefully.

The best midfield combo at Chelsea is Luiz/Lamps who have yet to lose a game together this season.

You have the defensive stability and energy of Luiz with the cultured midfield play of Lampard. After that Luiz/Mikel is the next best combination with Luiz playing deeper to do the tracking whilst Mikel keeps the possession.

Any combination of Ramires/Mikel, Mikel/Lampard or Ramires/Lampard will surely fail as we have already seen this season. These three combinations each have too many weakness. So anyone claiming Ramires/Mikel would succeed as a combination must have the shortest memory.

Same as we saw at The Bridge, MaZaCar buzzing around behind the striker is difficult for Utd midfield to pick up.

Carrick will always be a questionable DM in ma eyes although some dudes love blaming Giggs who at the age of 40 has more energy and mobility than a younger Carrick who is always late to everything. . . like Modrics shot on Wednesday.

Moses just gave Ram the ball, he lost it cheaply and we haven't seen the ball since.

GOAL!!! Ramires last player to touch the ball for Chelsea.

Meanwhile I'm sure Hernandez will chop Luiz at centre-back as always

SAFs lack of midfield warriors cost him in the game. This is the kind of game where two strong central midfielders close up shop and see out the 1-0 win but like someone pointed out there were no such options. . It also requires a change in orientation from an attacking outlook to an ultradefensive one. Chelsea were 1-0 down with 60 minutes to play with 10 men at Camp Nou and didn't even lose the game. 30 mins to see a game out with 10 men should not be too much to ask from Man Utd. Fir starters, I woulda brought on Valencia and Anderson to stiffen things up,
