Recently, iShowSpeed was in Lagos and met a fitness content creator named Jack Manuel. After they competed by bending irons, Jack showed just how incredibly strong he is. iShowSpeed was clearly impressed and genuinely drawn to his strength.
Then came the moment that could have changed everything for Jack.
iShowSpeed asked him a simple, yet specific but powerful question: “Bro, how do I make you happy?”
That was not a random question... That was an open door and a rare moment. An opportunity that does not come around often.
That was Jack’s chance to think beyond tonight’s dinner. Instead of thanking iShowSpeed for such great opportunity, say he would like to compete on international fitness challenges, he asked for $10,000 instead.
My heart sank immediately. My tongue became bitter and I felt sick instantly.
Many people may not realize this, but @ishowspeedsui is very close to @MrBeast, the biggest YouTuber in the world.
Mr Beast is known for creating content around extraordinary people, and Jack’s strength fits perfectly into that space. One thoughtful response and Jack could have positioned himself for a global breakthrough.
So many people focus on quick money and ignore the process, the relationships, and the platforms that create sustainable wealth. This is why they always think of “destiny helper” in liquid (cash) form and such mentality only exists in the mind of the pøor.
When a man grows up believing that help only comes as cash, he struggles to recognize real opportunities when they appear. Jack lacks perspective.
I sincerely hope life gives him another chance to change things for him quickly.
TemporaryHansel: Same way Wike overlooked them Felix Obuah who should've been governor fearing that despite their loyalty, they're too big and will fight him. He settled for docile Fubara and the same thing he was avoiding still happened.
Good call. Obuah is Wikes pointman when it comes to electoral violence and wiping out opposition and is more ferocious and black-hearted than Wike
When you hear "Rivers of Blood" - DonWanney and ethnic cleansing and mass beheadings of PDPs opponents from 2015-2017, that all happened in Obuahs constituency
It is not a laughing matter to casually dismiss those who sacrificed their lives in large quantities for your war, and were on the front end. Such diarrhoea of mouth should not be trivialised as just a joke but gross incompetence of statemanship
TemporaryHansel: Give what belongs to Caesar to Caesar. Nato is a mere barking puppy without the United States.
Trump yarned rubbish. Britain was well on the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq. Infact Britain held the whole Helmand province in Afghanistan till 2010.
He should be the one to give to Ceaser what is Ceasers, that's why they are vexed. Next time they won't follow USA into the front lines since USA President can yarn such rubbish.
PDPGuy: Between the 1960s and the 1980s, under the guise of "countering Communism," the CIA infiltrated Christian movements all over Africa and the Global South with the mission of steering Christian doctrines away from so-called "Liberation Theology" (teachings that encouraged people to stand up to corrupt governments and take collective action to better their lives), because this doctrine apparently was "Communist."
It funded and assisted the explosive growth of a whole new form of Christianity, which you recognise today as Prosperity Gospel, and it pumped millions of dollars into pushing it all over the Global South as part of its Cold War effort. This new doctrine ignored any kind of collectivism and encouraged people to see their Christian faith and salvation as individualistic issues that can be measured with specific individual outcomes, such as economic "blessing."
It was the perfect capitalist trojan horse because it convinced people to stop thinking of progress as a shared national issue and rather as an individual responsibility, which meant they did not need to organise into pressure groups, political movements, trade unions, student unions, or any other collectivist entities that the US government considered "Leftist" or "Communist." It succeeded wildly, and turned the world's poorest people in Sub Saharan Africa into rabid, money-obsessed capitalists without capital.
And in case you're wondering whether this means that all your mega pastors in Lagos and Abuja are US government-funded industry plants, the answer is simple: do a 1-minute Google search and find out where they all gained their theology degree or pastor training. There's your answer.
Anyway this is all on open record on the FOIA section of the CIA's own website, but the oyibos have convinced you that "Africans don't read," and you have internalised your own false stereotype, so you definitely won't read regardless. Your job is to enter my comment sections and drop laughing emojis because your forced laughter is your coping mechanism for dealing with how completely powerless and lost you are in a world you haven't begun to understand.
Anyway for the benefit of the 2 people who understand the value of reading and exervising their brains:
raumdeuter: Britain went all the way from Europe to South America to be dragging Falkland Island with Argentina, See map below for where UK is and where Falkland Island is
Falklands was completely uninhabited when Britain settled it
A better comparison is Gibraltar which they collected from Spain
Greenlanders have the right to vote for independence enshrined in their constitution. They last voted in 2008 to take some powers back from Denmark
Trump slap every Greenlander with $500k. That's only $30bln which Fed can print in one second. Let me see whether they won't sell their ballot.
I don't know why he's doing gragra on the matter. Like Mourinho and Abramovic he should pay and don't speak.
And yes, there are valid security reasons for acquiring Greenland. Russia and China ships are running riot there. The day they strike a natural resource, Denmark won't be able to assert it's right to it's economic zone on them. But Trump should manage his language and tone.
BlueRayDick: Tinubu has consistently shown he doesn't care about optics sha, so this is not surprising at all.
Somebody who has fighting corruption as one of his campaign promises awarded a multi-trillion naira road project to the company owned by the man who aided to steal over $300million from Nigerian treasury. And now he's awarding the same man GCON.
Bluelines69: Guess the coach would take the fall then, i genuinely at a point wished they didn’t come back during the game cause I knew that could make fifa ban them from the WC , there was an old white man who Mane consulted seems he convinced mane
You should know that old white man by sight - Claude Le Roy, the legendary French manager who has coached Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana amongst other African sides
Bluelines69: Surely fifa would do something about it, walking away and coming back doesn’t really change anything as what they did wasn’t normal, there’s surely going to be punishments
There would be individual sanctions but not ban on the National team which would have happened if they walked off
