nihilistjnr:Yeah I dey follow Warographics, never heard of Whistlerverse |
Griffon:Correct. Food, clothes and electronics are cheap. Shelter, services and taxes are expensive. |
TemporaryHansel:When and where? With their full face, or hiding behind Hezbollah? |
TemporaryHansel:Most of the help is in missile defence because 5,000 Hamas rockets usually requires almost 5,000 missiles to shoot it down. How many missile one country want get? If it comes to do me, I do you, without worrying about protecting civilians, Israel will finish Iran. Israel regularly bombs Iran sites in Syria and Iran never gather blockos to face them man to man |
raumdeuter:That one dey, na like 3 for £10. Na wetin we dey use for Naija food. We dey call am hard chicken or broiler. The chicken for shop na only 3 to 4 weeks from hatching to abbatoir |
Itsrm:You are right, especially in the village then. Everytime we go village, my grandmum will make us walk around the village and visit all our relatives to greet. We always hate going to my grandmums aunties hut because she will make you sit down and eat, and her food is always yam and red oil without exception. The yam she grows herself, na only red oil and salt she dey buy. I've only ever seen her chop protein once and that was crab she caught in her trap. |
raumdeuter:N3k, does that include protein or soaking Garri from Sunday to Saturday? £10 in the UK will feed you your carbs and protein 7 days a week, plus some added vegetables and other things. The video shows it. I shop in that Aldi every week, I sabi the prices. |
Amigoss:Stop yarning off point. NOI talking about asking Governors to save in 2014, 5 years after her principal has already shared the money with the Governors is attempt at whitewashing and finger pointing away from the responsibility of her principal. Like State Finance commissioner blaming LGA Chairmen for Governors failings. Nothing stopped NOI from convincing her principal to save FG share so she won't have to borrow to pay Federal salaries, just 3 months after oil crash. If NOI was borrowing to pay salaries just 3 months after oil crash, I wonder how she would have fulfilled CNNs estimates of Nigeria being in the top 3 fastest growing economy if her principal had won election In Q1 of 2015 (Jan to March), Nigeria already recorded negative 3.4% of GDP growth on the prior quarter so the slowdown was already evident during Jonathan tenure. Jonathan was President till May 2015, so no need citing CNN prediction for 2015 that did not factor oil crash, and in which Jonathan served nearly half the year.

izzou:It's the height of irresponsibility for FG to abdicate their responsibility or use state Governors as reason why they fail to perform their basic duty. That's like your State Governor blaming LGA Chairman. In Nigeria, State and local Government are a function of Warlords and Gangsters and I have never held them to any standard. Only a delinquent President will start blaming State Governors for abdicating his duties when in fact he was bribing them to support him, then giving us lamba. There is a reason we expect Rochas, Yahaya Bello and Aregbesola to not pay salaries for 10 months, but let FG try that for just one month and all hell will break loose. I don't buy lamba of blaming State Governors, below is my long held theory on Governance in Nigeria. State Governors have no responsibility for monetary policy, interest rates or anything that will affect the populace pocket directly. FG must keep tools to ensure they can continue to manage these things that will affect the average nigga. Amaechi, Akpabio and co don't need to gaslight anyone. They know they have no accountability. It's just free money for them. The responsibility is on the President to resist like Yaradua and OBJ did. Even Amaechi and Akpabio will resist if they are in the Presidents shoes, but they saw a weak mugu that can give them free money, why not? Only a delinquent President will abdicate the countries future to State Governors, and he still can't account for his 50% share even if we buy his lamba. Ibime: |
Theflint1:Abroadians wicked well well. Why you think say I dey always laugh when Russian IPOB dey say dem go starve UK with inflation. I fit chop one week with £10 for this UK, but I can also chop £500 in one day. Budget dey for every taste. |
Amigoss:NOI talking about saving in 2014 when her principal has already shared the money with Governors in 2009-2010 so.they can support his 2011 ambition Go and check the time period NOI was minister, she was not on ground when GEJ shared the money finish. She is just giving narrative to defend her time. GEJ done clear the account before she became Minister in August 2011. She is talking of attempts to whitewash their record with small Sovereign Wealth fund of $1bln when $20bln has already been eaten. Who are they fooling?
|
Theflint1:You done see am. Food cheap for UK |
izzou:Who slandered him for trying to save? He wasn't trying to save anything, just putting out excuses that wasn't matched by action. Do you try to save by sharing savings on your first day which all your predecessors resisted, and completely finishing the savings in the run up to 2011 election to secure your Presidency? Then from 2012 after securing your Presidency, NOI start shouting that you want to save after setting a precedent, opening pandoras box and squandering the savings. NOI looked the other way in 2009-2010 when the savings was being shared, chalking it down as the cost of getting Goodluck elected, now wants to return to sanity. But wetin done dabaru done dabaru. Only a child will believe such narrative. In addition, you never answer, what stopped FG from saving their own share? Well done to Obi for having the savings attitude BTW. |
izzou:What is contradictory between the two? The matter started with Yaradua in 2007, Yaradua refused to release the money and was fighting them in court Goodluck now cave in to them immediately because he needs their political support (in other words a bribe) Before 2011 election, the money is already virtually finished. The screenshot below was written in 2010 which all of us who were following the matter knew to be the case. Now after opening up the ECA as a bribe, you want to start giving lamba that Governors should allow you to save after the horse has bolted. If you wanted to save, you should have shown that in your action and not bribing them with it on the first day to secure their political support. Furthermore did Governors stop you from saving FG portion of the money even if you have to release State portion to them?
|
izzou:Read my original post you quoted again and tell me how it differs from NOI account You said NOI said Governors asked for the money to be shared. I said Governors asked for money to be shared because FG was spending it wastefully. What's the difference between our two statements apart from context? How come Governors were not pressuring OBJ to share the money? How come Yaradua has been fighting the Governors in court on this matter, and the minute Yaraduas corpse was wheeled out of ASO Rock, Goodluck shared the money with them the next day. GEJ was a minority President who relies on Governors to win elections. The case was in court and FG could have easily influenced the decision. Every political observer knows the ECA sharing was a bribe to Governors to support Goodluck Government and win 2011 elections. Even NOI knows it, and just holding brief for FG, hence the complete turnaround in approach between Yaradua and Goodluck on the first day of Goodluck presidency. And finally the ECA belongs to all tiers of Government. If State Governors collected their portion and loot it (which you know they would), why did FG also blow their own portion? You blame state for 50% of the money to paint yourself as coerced but can't account for your own 50%. That lamba is for children. Ibime:

izzou:Did I dispute the record of event? I said Governors asked for their share because FG was spending the money wastefully. Savings that belongs to both FG and State Governments. So FGs recklessness is what prompted the states to ask for sharing before FG finish the money. And even if the States wanted their own share, what happened to FG share? Why was it also blown? |
nihilistjnr: ![]() |
Itsrm:Nothing like that. How come they never did same to OBJ and Yaradua Everytime Governors come to meeting, ECA has been reducing instead of being added to in light of high oil price. So they asked for state share before GEJ finish it all. Remember that every dollar Nigeria earns is 50% FG, 50% state. So any savings is the same. So why will they all be saving money and GEJ is spending it like a drunkard? And even on top of that, FG cannot lose any court case it means to win, and the case was never settled. And should the States share their 50%, where is FG 50%? This is a major lamba sold by GEJ. ECA was first shared on 1st Jan 2010 where GEJ called them to midnight meeting while normal Nigerians were celebrating New Year's to share ECA with them. It was his bribe to the Governors to support his candidacy as a minority President. He bought the 2011 election with ECA |
WhoDeyHause:. No, to pay rent |
WhoDeyHause:I no dey discuss ill-formed ideas. It takes money to diversify. Ground work for diversification should be laid when money is plenty. You don't invest in new business when the money in your hand can't even cover rent. |
GEJ no get anything to do with Boko Haram That was just a stick opposition cooked up to beat him with, same way PDP cooked up herdsmen to beat Buhari. Herdsmen have been commiting massively since GEJ days, but a Fulani President is a good lightning rod to take out your frustrations on herdsmen I don't judge Presidents on insecurity. Wetin done dabaru done dabaru, and it will only get worse as time goes on I judged GEJ solely on his profligacy with our common wealth |
BlueRayDick:You dey contribute to discussion. The discussion na why some olders wey see PTF works choose Buhari over Jonathan. You dey bring counterargument to PTF works and you think say you no dey involved for the discussion. Dey play. ![]() |
izzou:I'm citing the work that made me support Buhari in 2011 and 2015 based on Donjazzet allegations. My view on Buhari Presidential tenure is well known, just search my moniker with Buhari. |
BlueRayDick:Pesin ask me why I chose Buhari over Jonathan, I cited his work with PTF, na you carry busybody go bring article to disparage PTF work, come cosign am say BlueRayDick:If you want chook mouth, chook mouth like man, no dey behave like woman. Bring wetin Jonathan do pass that one wey Buhari do with common PTF wey go make me vote am in 2015. |
BlueRayDick:I'm not debating the wrong person. Na una dey ask me why I chose Buhari over Jonathan and na you dey provide the evidence How many kilometres of Road did Jonathan build? Let me shock you, PTF budget over the 4 years was only N144bln, and you just listed out what N144bln achieved. In dollar terms (blackmarket) then, that whole budget is less than $2bln. Even going by official rate, it was less than $7bln Na una dey write article to disparage PTF work, na una dey still highlight the achievement unwittingly. PTF na something we see korokoro everyday, even with that small budget. |
BlueRayDick:"All southern states had 4,440.43 kilometres of roads rehabilitated (24%) while states in the north had 13,870.47 kilometres rehabilitated (76%)." BlueRaydick, how many kilometres of Road did Jonathan do with 30 times the budget 200km from Lagos-Ore-Benin, Jonathan couldn't rehabilitate with gazillions more money Yet one tribalist will start looking for problem in 4,440km of Southern roads Buhari built compared to 14,000km in North, as if na today things will favour ruling tribe in Nigeria I read this tribal hatchet job at the time, which only highlighted the evidence of the difference between both candidates BTW does North road need gutters and suffer from heavy rainfall as South? The money to achieve the same km of road in Bayelsa and Kano can be 5 to 1 because of drainage. What is the landmass of North compared to South? Why will they have same km? Buhari performance with PTF we all saw with our eyes. Nobody will tell you lamba when PTF bus is picking you up from Federal Government College everyday |
Olowunl01:You don't borrow into your reserves. Your reserves are a function of your trade earnings. Which is why Tinubu Afrimex deal raised eyebrows as it's very unconventional, using backdoor to achieve the same goal. Tinubu was virtually doing a version of Barcelona levers - selling NNPC future revenue for money today |
GloriousGbola:That's just it. Buhari failed woefully by trying to make a name for himself with poorly conceived infrastructure projects when we didn't have the money. He is at best a good works minister in times of abundance. OBJ remains my favourite President because he did what the times demanded. He allowed our infrastructure go to waste but that's because he had debts to clear. And when he got debt forgiveness, he set up solid savings to protect our future Jonathan was the biggest waste of space., a President who ate through everything including all our rainy day fund in a time of extreme abundance, and left nothing to show for it. |
Olowunl01:Oil price may have recovered but the hole is already dug and the reserves are already depleted by years of low price. It's just like your personal finances. If you dig hole, it will take as many years to fill the hole as it took to dig the hole. Oil revenue also has two elements - Price and volume. My faulting of Buhari is actually in his rough handling of Tompolo and co that affected sales volumes. I will accept that as Buharis impact on inflation |
Amigoss:If N26bln was mismanaged and PTF still achieved what it did then it shows how much is being mismanaged by those with 30 times the budget who don't achieve anything. I won't argue with you whether money was stolen because money is always stolen, but the projects you achieve with your budget will show to what extent money was stolen compared to others. |
