Jogginghoe was not UEFA CLUB player of the year. He was UEFA MENS player which encompasses all UEFA completions, both the UCL and the Euros. Kante carried him to UCL victory and Donnaruma carried him to Euros victory. He was nowhere near the best club player that was Kante.

There is no such award as CLUB player of the Year. Guffanti. That award was ended over a decade ago. If it still existed, Kante would have won it hands down.

Ukraine can not become part of NATO as long as part of its territory is annexed.

So the goals of the SMO were simple enough, take the Donbass, connect Crimea to mainland Russia through Mariupol, create some type of buffer region, and destroy all of Ukraine's materiel. Then wait for Ukraine's economic collapse and capitulation.

The complication with that plan is NATO's support. NATO is pretty much paying Ukrainian salaries. The destroyed materiel have been replaced many times over. Especially when many in the Kremlin believe this is the opening salvo to WW3.

The conflict with Ukraine is not isolated. And NATO involvement goes beyond providing training and equipment. They have bodies in it now. There are American and German operators in Kharkiv. And Polish operators in Mykoliav. A good part of the force sent to retake ZNPP was British.

Putin will need to subtly increase his forces and prepare to occupy South and East Ukraine, then formally annex the territories into Russia like he did Crimea. That'll put paid to Ukraine's wish of joining NATO officially. Then permanently station the Third Army in these regions and call it a day. He has to get used to the idea of having a bellicose Ukraine on his doorstep and treat it like the way Israel treats Hezbollah.
