Trevor012:91 points in farmers league with only Juve for company is 75 in EPL Napoli had the best forwards, the best centre-back in Koulibaly in the league. Jogginghoe must have been the part of the team that let them down. No wonder he never made Serie A team of the season. |
lordfalcao:Kante is a league winner twice with Leicester and Chelsea. He is not a sitting DM although has defensive qualities. Show me one period where Chelsea has won consistently with Jogginghoe in an attacking set-up. Even when his father Sarri tried to set things up perfectly for him, below is what we were seeing. After trying to go toe to toe with an attacking set-up and getting hammered 6-0 by City, even Sarri abandoned Sarriball to park bus the next week in Carling Cup final to eek out a 0-0 draw. Your Jogginghoe is useless in an attacking set-up. Only fool like you think you will park bus to compete for league title https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5axvFrCZWyk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-C5Ad2Go1Fk |
Skimpledawg:Jogginghoe has never played successfully and consistently in an attacking set-up at Chelsea without causing us disgrace. I challenge any Jogginghoe fan to mention a period he did so. Same people hailing him now are those who were cussing him out weekly when Chelsea was not playing with lowblock. They think they can park bus to league success in this era. |
BlueMann:Maybe growing pains but truth be told, we are lucky to have a starting goalkeeper in a decent European league club that starts for his club and highly rated in Holland. Last time we had a regular starting keeper at club level was Enyeama. Watford just signed him for €7m. The way things are looking with Foster and Bachmann, he may be their starting keeper next season. |
swiz123:You lost most of your points this season with Lukaku out injured. You think Jota for Lukaku will return us to the top. I laugh in Mandarin. These players have been shït before Lampard. Rudiger and Christensen go back to Conte days while Jogginghoe was an eyesore getting hammered 4-0 by Bournemouth, Arsenal and 6-0 by Man City under Sarri. Return Chelsea to highline and see your weekly complaints about goals Jogginghoe caused return. Unless you want to tell me that you expect Chelsea to be consistent playing lowblock like TT and Mancini. You are only deceiving yourself. There are no penalty shootouts in league football, nor 3 points for draws. |
BikeMan:Matip has been consistent for 4 years. Rudiger has only had one great year. Don't let recency effect fool you. Matip has done way better than Rudiger in EPL. When Rudiger was playing in a back 4 like Matip does with two flying fullbacks, 5 games cannot pass without him committing an error. It is even magnanimous to make it a preference choice. And you don't see Liverpool fans counting Fabinho errors like we used to do weekly with Jogginghoe when we weren't playing Community defence. You think you will garner 97 points and 99 points and be having people counting DM errors weekly like his biggest fans below? Even under TT, we were still counting points dropped due to Jogginghoe against Villa, Arsenal and West Brom just in the final month of last season. Don't deceive yourself. Can Jogginghoe play successfully and consistently in an attacking set-up? If so mention a time when that happened at Chelsea. I'll wait.

Why were Nigerians criticising Maduka Okoye at some point? Some Dutch guys are saying he's the best goalie in Eeredivisie |
BikeMan:I gave TT massive credit. I only pointed out that his system is just a quick fix since some people were using it to hail players as greater than they are and all they needed was a good manager. If those are great players, then Bosingwa, Luiz, Ramires, Meireles, Bertrand and co must be great players too for what they achieved with RDM. |
donjazet:Some people are wired to celebrate glory moments and some are wired to remember every detail. A Liverpool team that achieved 97 and 99 points in consecutive seasons while reaching two UCL finals playing attacking football far outmatches a Chelsea team that failed to make top four under Conte, only made top four in the penultimate game under Sarri and the final game under Lampard, and only made top four in the final 45 minutes of last season thanks to Gareth Bales heroics at Leicester. Khaki no be leather. League tables don't lie. Only Kante walks into Liverpool 11 with no debate. VVD, Robertson, Fabinho, Salah and Mane walk into Chelsea 11 with no debate. The difference to their alternatives isn't even close. Alison vs Mendy, Rudiger vs Matip, Trent vs James, Lukaku vs Jota is a preference choice with little margin either way. Our attackers are not the best but our system doesn't maximise attackers, it maximises defenders and makes them look better than they are. When you take one man from the attacking zone and put him in the defensive zone, it tilts in favour of the defenders. That's why Rudiger is looking at Madrid contract when he should be looking at Roma, and Chris is looking at Bayern when he should be looking at Southampton, meanwhile our attackers went from grace to grass because their positions are not priotised. It's always hustling for counterattack with them rather than exchanging passes with an extra man. I don't think Abraham can get £34m move to Roma, playing under this system. Maybe we will be looking for where to loan him now or collect £10m for him. The number one reason for this (though not the only) and I will keep repeating myself, is lack of an adequate DM that will allow us play without community defence. Reason some of us focus on Jogginghoe is because his effect is structural. Kovacic is not structural, he is robust enough to play any system as a CM. We are not going anywhere consistently until we have a DM that will allow us to play on the front foot successfully. I have seen this repeatedly in Chelsea right from the Mikel days. Until we have that midfield that allows us to take more risk, we will keep telling ourselves stories. If we attempt to play on the front foot with our current DM, we will start counting goals he caused on a match-by-match basis like his biggest fan below. This is not a theory but a reality we saw play out since 2018 till the arrival of TT. Every time we tried an attacking set-up, we were ruined at the back by the inadequacy of our DM. I am a firm believer that the robustness of a team to adapt to any set-up depends on the robustness of the DM.

benalvino3:I believe India's healthcare system is obviously Federal. The Health Ministry issues directives and some regions choose to comply and others don't. A good data analyst will compare outcomes in Goa who complied and another region that didn't. |
popizaino:Partly board room politics, and partly false sense of confidence maybe. The warning signs were there in our league performances even under TT at West Brom, Arsenal, Villa etc even FA Cup final against Leicester. Some quickly forgot we needed Gareth Bale heroics to qualify for UCL. The board always get carried away after winning something, patting themselves on the back that the signings they made are not bad and the rescue manager has proved them right. |
EmmanuelScott1:I shock at what I've been reading here over the last 6 months bros. People expecting TT to win league with Ziyech, Havertz, Mount, Odoi, Puli while opponents are parading Salah, Mane and co. A Christensen who is never more than one mental meltdown away from committing a blunder being hailed as a great defender, same Christensen that we saw under Conte, Sarri and Lampard who should be looking for contract at Southampton now, suddenly courting interest from Bayern because of TT A Jogginghoe who has been everybody's bitch in EPL since 2018 suddenly being hailed as a premier DM. An Alonso who we couldn't sell for £10m despite hawking him around Europe being made to look World class by NL pundits. A Rudiger who was near useless under Conte, Sarri and Lampard and could not garner more interest than a half-hearted loan bid from Spurs suddenly feeling like the.most important player in the squad and being courted by the likes of Madrid. TT is the rising tide that lifted all boats in our defensive players. Some people wondered why we didn't lock down contracts in all these players, it's because they were useless before TT, we saw no need to. |
BikeMan:TT has performed brilliantly and is still outperforming this squads natural level. I see no problem except the unrealistically high expectations he set with his UCL win. TT was a steady the ship manager who managed to use defensive nous to win a trophy. You can't use steady the ship tactics to win consistently, in the long run, the quality of the squad will catch up to you. That's why I laughed when neophytes started acting like we have a squad to win the league because a rescue manager who has no mandate managed to win a tournament. Such is no different from what we have seen over the last decade with RDM, Benitez delivering cup tournaments with a disjointed squad then we continue our struggles the next season. The mandate of AVB to get the best out of Torres and play attacking football with Mata and co is not the same mandate as RDM who can park bus, drop Torres and deliver a tournament. Same way RDM next season mandate to use MaZaCar and Torres fell apart, Benitez could ditch that mandate and deliver Europa. Same way Lampard mandate to get the best of Werner, Havertz, Ziyech will never allow him to go defensive like TT did. We can even go back to Jose mandate to fit in Shevchenko which made us play a disjointed diamond formation and ditch Robben and Duff system and lost us the league. Avram Grant a rescue manager was allowed to drop Sheva and return to our normal formation, losing only one league game in 8 months and reaching UCL final. What TT is witnessing this season is simply the challenge of moving from being a rescue manager to a manager with a mandate and finding out he doesn't have robust enough players to deliver on the expectations set by last season. That's been the story of Chelsea for the last decade, that's why I laughed when people start acting like these players are the bees knees, same players whose natural level has never been more than that of a top 4 team which we have seen repeatedly under several managers. Where we are now in the league is the best we've seen since 2017, and people feel we're underperforming. I say TT is over performing with wack and non-robust players. I hope he doesn't lose hope and is backed with quality signings along his own vision to keep him competitive always, let's stop deceiving ourselves that cup results we achieved with cøck-nyash tactical triumphs last season are sustainable. |
benalvino3:Nope it says outdated, not expired. If you read the body of the article, it says it's outdated because IVM haven removed from the protocol
|
BTC should hurry up and break support and stop teasing people Shib under 29 has been a fairly profitable swing trade for the last month. Threw a small thing at 28.x, targeting just 5% or 10% |
benalvino3:I highly doubt, maybe outdated kits
|
Theuniverse:You also have to take the player into account. Will he be motivated to wait for his chance, and for how long. Both he and Lukaku are big strikers. You can't play two of them at the same time. Unless Lukaku is sold on, of which I doubt there will be a market at the price we bought him, Broja will have to be prepared to sit down for 4 years till Lukaku contract expires. That's not even factoring the presence of Havertz who is a different profile of striker if the coach wants to play another way |
benalvino3:What's the content of the kit since Health Ministry has disowned IVM Kit contents are not necessarily the same yesterday, today and forever |
Theuniverse:Given how we already blocked any reasonable prospect of game time for him with Lukaku and Havertz in the 9, a sell with a buyback clause will be the optimal solution |
basilico:June 21 |
benalvino3:If only India Health ministry agreed with this. India, same as Nigeria, young population, fit and healthy, not many people with underlying conditions left, good sunshine to halt the spread and poor health record keeping
|
Segedinho:It is clear to anyone who focus on it and observe the game. Baba goes into hiding when the press is strong, and you will often see Kovacic dropping deep to make the play while baba is hiding. Why will a playmaker abandon his duty to a yeoman every time the press is strong. lordfalcao:You can only deceive yourself. Jogginghoe played 90 minutes, made 29 passes. Kova came on at halftime, played a whole half with 10 men and made 23 passes, nearly catching a playmaker who played 45 more minutes with 11 men. On weekend, Kova made 59 passes while Jogs did 34 passes at Stamford Bridge and in UCL final. Playmaker that hides in tough games for yeomen to do his job. We didn't buy him to dominate Newcastle who we will win anyway
|
donjazet:You are someone who favours hope over reality. Remembering good moments and putting your money in your emotions. Here's some cold reality for you, our last 4 trips to Etihad in the league have seen 3 defeats, one of which was a 6-0 drubbing with your boy Jogginghoe manning the DM. The only one we won was at the tail end of last season when they had virtually wrapped up the league and were focussed on the UCL. Even at that Aguero missed a penalty to make it 2-0 and a Zouma clear penalty was overlooked. I can criticise a player when we win or when we lose. I am not those who get tossed about by the wind or feel-good factor. I can also not criticise a player when we lose. It is you with unrealistic expectation of the match who foolishly went and bet on it, lost and then using the loss to push your agenda when our midfield stats yesterday was better than any stats we posted in the two wins Jogginghoe started last season, and at odds with TT assessment of the problems in the game. donjazet:Keep your foolishness to yourself. Chelsea conceded 81 goals in 2019/20 season with Jogginghoe manning the DM, more than the 70 goals you keep shouting about Hojberg. Football is not lawn tennis. Another foolish point bolded in your last paragraph, Kova is the replacement for Jogginghoe. Kante plays the right side with Jogginghoe on the left and did so again against City. I don't expect you to notice this since your tactical observation has always left a lot to be desired. Kova played the left side where Jogginghoe normally plays and showed bravery to make himself available for the ball, doubling the number of touches Jogginghoe has been making against this opposition while hiding on the pitch. Yes, I am stubborn. I judge players on their individual strengths and weaknesses. I am not the type to get carried away by the team doing well in a short period under a manager, when 4 years of watching those same players tell me different. Let those who change opinion like the wind continue to do so. I will not join others in doing belle-face punditry because the team started winning under TT. I will look at the individual player and assess them stubbornly. We've seen people go from spending 4 years castigating Christensen and Rudiger under Conte, Sarri, and Lampard suddenly hailing em best thing since sliced bread. People who hailed Alonso for the first month of the season, then went quiet when Chilwell came in the team. People who saw Lukaku bang in few goals in August and started expressing supreme confidence that we would win the league in the hope that his goals take us over the line, and shut Jogginghoe haters up about not winning the league. Those same people now turned into Lukaku biggest haters. People who one year ago hail Kovacic the best since sliced bread and Jogginghoe the worst of the worst do an about-face. You can see one of them below, maybe that's the belle-face you prefer. I prefer to be stubborn and focus on players individual quality, than jump on moving train because coach found a way to win UCL playing defensive football. In the long run, a player individual quality and robustness will outlive any tactical triumph from the coach. This is not my first rodeo. You can ask those who insisted that Mikel and Ramires must be our starting midfield after 2012 UCL triumph and how they argued with me for months and accused me of being stubborn. If a player does not have it, they don't have it.
|
Segedinho:You agree he is subdued in tight situation but disagree he hides from such situations? Ok, watch closer next time, although his passing stats in such matches should have told you that. Why will someone passing stats suddenly drop to 30 passes against strong pressing opposition. We have seen this in several Man City matches, Spain match, Liverpool match etc. The difference between Kovacic making 59 passes, nearly double the 30 Jogginghoe has made in his last 3 encounters with City and Liverpool is the bravery not to hide from such situations. |
Segedinho, here you go. By the time he stretch to control that ball, KDB has already blocked the passing lane. His only option there is to dribble, try a risky pass to Kepa or play it for throw in. Alonso supposed to drop the ball in the area I've marked and run down the line for a one-two, than play it behind him and make him stretch to control, putting us facing backward. If Alonso meant to play that ball backward, he will not run forward to receive the return pass. He will double back to create a passing lane. Alonso misplayed that pass.
|
Segedinho:There is no lie about it. He only shows when there is no one around him. That's why his passing stats collapse from Xavi levels to Bakayoko levels when the other team employ a strong press |
Segedinho:Jogginghoe hides from these passes all the time. You see that passing back, is because he's uncomfortable the minute anyone is on his back. That's why when the match is tough, he will spend his time hiding behind players and his passing stats will drop to 30. I am coming with the gif. Alonso overhit the ball, by which time it took to control the ball, KDB had blocked the passing lane to Kante. The error in that situation is that Kova did not change his initial idea to pass to Kante |
Segedinho:Jogs would not show for that ball. He will go and hide behind Debruyne. In this picture, he is stretching to control the ball because Alonso overhit the pass. The pass to Kante was attempted which Debruyne intercepted. If Alonso passed the ball to his feet, he will not need time to control it and KDB won't have time to close it down. Go and watch the video again. Kova comes out of such situation 50 times a game. Jogginghoe will only agree to receive ball in such situation 5 times a game, and he will lose 1, the other 4, he will quickly boot to Kepa
|
Segedinho:Where did you see long ball in my post. You said Jogginghoe would have given the ball to attackers, I told you Kova did that more in yesterdays game. |
Segedinho:I saw Kovacic give away a bad chance But I won't criticise him because the alternative is worse And he only gave away that chance by being brave enough to show for the ball with 3 players around him to help out a stranded Alonso, a situation Jogginghoe would have hidden from. I will not criticise a player when his alternative is much worse in those situations. If you go back and check that incident, you will even see Alonso misplayed the pass, making him stretch to get the ball under control, giving City vital time to close him.
