Ibime, what are that tangible metrics you expect from your ideal DM?
And who is your ideal DM? Who do you think is the best DM in the game and why?
Popiziano you too.
I won't keep repeating myself. If you have been on this thread and don't know that my requirement for a DM is one that allows his team to station high up the pitch and also comfortable receiving and giving the ball (under any circumstances, not just when the press is light like Jogginghoe), I can't repeat myself.

Below is what a knowledgeable member of this thread said about Jogginghoes impact on our play and what happens when any manager tries to go toe to toe with Jogginghoe in midfield. So there is no obsession on my part, only the truth

Reason I said TT is over performing because this low block is the maximum you can get out of the players at our disposal

nateevs:
I am not anti-Jorginho but if that game did not show anyone the scale at which the detrimental part of Jorginho's game can place a burden on the team, then you need a serious lesson in football.

Odoi this and Mount that....if we play City with that line up and let them over run the midfield like that, they would have scored 8 clear goals and it would not matter if we took our chances. So clearly taking our chances is the secondary concern here.

I love Jorginho but no, we cannot have our DM, 3 yards from play in midfield, pointing to others to take responsibility; eventually, luckily getting back into play, and falling over in our box at the slightest touch.

Every player has strong and weak points. And I always believe that J5 is a good player. But unfortunately, I am not blind to see that the game showed clearly that our overall footballing ambitions are being sacrificed for the good that Jorginho supposedly brings. We will never win the league that way.

Unfortunately, he is playing in the most important area of the game and too old already to improve.

We are going to be taught a football lesson against Conte, Pep and Klopp next, if we show up with this type of midfield and attempt to go toe-to-toe with them. The only way we get something out of those games is to pack the bus and hide Jorginho's weaknesses.

Does making 7 of 14 interceptions in one match take anything away from a record he set?

Oleg Salenko was Highest Goal Scorer in '94 World Cup. Was he given an inferior trophy because he scored 5 of his 6 goals in one match? Should we say because Salenko bullied Cameroon defence, so his highest goal scorer award should be inferior to others?
Will you sign Salenko for Chelsea because he bullied Cameroun? We are talking Chelsea here, I couldn't give a rats ass about anything else.

The high interceptions of Jogginghoe against Span was highlighted to show how fraudulent those stats were because that was a game in which he was bullied from pillar to post, hid all game and turned into a water carrier. If I want Chelsea to be bullied all game, then I will use those interception stats to call for Chelsea to give him starting shirt.

It was Jorginho's fault that Lampfraud was sacked only because you are arguing Jorginho with him.

You will be shocked how it will become Rudiger if anyone dares argue Rudiger with him. Just the same way it could be Kepa, Christensen or Alonso.

Fact is, Lampfraud made everyone remarkably bad. A fact lost to our resident hypocritical pundit wannabe.
Lampfraud made everyone bad yet you cursed Sarri for signing them and labelled them crap under Sarri and some under Conte

You better shut up when reasonable people are discussing

Sarri left us with two calamities in Kepa and Jorginho. Now we are stuck with finding a way to offload them.

Who ever told you we play a "low block to protect an incompetent DM".
You just keep manufacturing these things in your head. Apart from mancity who you yourself acknowledged are a strong unit, who else do we play a low block against?

Did we play a low block against Liverpool at home? Did Chelsea play a low block against Tottenham recently?
What of arsenal, man-u, ATM, Madrid. Did we?

The Madrid with BBC that won UCL multiple times, were known as a pure counterattack team, was it a low block? If so, was it not a good system?

So Everytime we set-up as a counter attack team, does it mean we are doing it solely to "protect" the DM??
Who told you this? You just run on the first idea that comes to your head and carry it as the gospel truth.

What if setting up as a counter attack team is to better utilize the best abilities of our pacy forwards? A tactic which worked numerously against mancity?
You keep telling yourself what you want to hear.

Pochettino said we do. Raumdeuter said he expected TT to win the league playing defensive footballer then fall apart the next season when Roman demand attacking football. That's someone with no skin in the game and no agenda describing the football he saw from TT.

Lampard would play attacking football for a run of games, we would come across an opposition and get hammered with teams targeting Jogginghoe, and Lampard would drop the block lower. Everytime we tried to be consistent with an attacking set-up, we ran into teams that targetted Jogginghoe and whitewashed us. Even his father Sarri had to park double decker bus in Carling Cup final, a week after getting pummeled 6-0 by Man City and losing scandalously to Bournemouth and Arsenal when they targetted Jogginghoe. Those goals Abraham scored under Lampard were those run of games we played attacking, after each midfield failure that precipitated a change to a low block, the goals dried up.

His numbers show he isn't.

My useless attackers and blunt midfielders are. We need goalscoring outlets. From willian to giroud to morata to higuain to Abraham to Werner to havertz, ziyech, pulisic. None capable of giving us 20 goals a season. All as blunt as a cutlass.

You can't blame the DM for attackers not scoring enough goals. Do you know that in the last 6 seasons, we have been the lowest goal scoring team in the top3? Even when we won the league?

GOALS! GOALS! GOALS! are our major problems. We need clinical attackers and our own kdb or Pogba who would add their own goals\assists from midfield.
Your major problem is you play a low block to protect an incompetent DM, and never have enough forward players in the attacking phase.

TT has been with us for a year now and we are yet to see any reasonable attacking play from erstwhile productive attackers. Even when we were scoring, it was from corners and wingbacks. As if that would be sustainable. Lukaku is a record scorer everywhere he went from club to International scene. Pulisic, Ziyech were are all erstwhile productive and the rest are also being dampened.

When the team was set-up for Abraham to score goals, we were conceding just as much as your escort followed players like cameraman from the halfway line. Chelsea cannot be and play like a big club with a park-the-bus DM who becomes a liability outside that set-up. Like I said, I know my mind and my conditions so bus parking stats mean nothing.

You are now sounding as illogical as Ronaldo haters who would say Ronaldo's goalscoring numbers doesn't mean much because most of them are tap-ins and penalties or say he's not just good at anything else on the pitch or not good at free kicks or some other ridiculous things just to denigrate him.

Or Messi haters who for long said Barca's system and players around him made him better or played for him hence his failure with national team.
Haters would always find a way to explain away the wonderful individual stats and record of a player.

How do we know players are great? Is it not by their individual stats?

Jorginho has now garnered so much individual stats and here you are trying to disassemble each of them one by one just to fit your agenda.

Jorginho set the record for the most interceptions EVER in the Euros. LET THAT SINK IN. a personal ALL TIME RECORD for a prestigious competition.

Jorginho set passing records in TWO different TOP leagues.
Jorginho topped distance covered in two different competitions which he won.
Jorginho topped successful tackles in two different competitions which he won.
Jorginho made the highest ball recoveries in two different competitions which he won.
The footballing world has acknowledge this gem of a player. But let's leave it to Ibime to keep hating irrationally.
You can keep on rambling on like a hater trying to explain away all these personal records or you can just humbly accept your LLL. Oga LLLlibime. grin cheesy grin cheesy
You can keep rambling while Jogginghoe serves you L on the pitch as a Chelsea fan

I gave you the context of some of those stats, do with it what you will.

I simply came to show you how to understand stats from 15 years of viewing stats, not to participate in
a dïck waving competition. Jogginghoe for example made 14 interceptions in Euros, 7 of those came against Spain in a game where he was bullied off the park. Of what use is that to Chelsea?

Next game Jogginghoe point to someone 3 yards away from him that he can't close down like he did against Brighton, you will explain how the top runner in Euros can't do a simple job.

There's nothing irrational about my hate. As a Chelsea fan, I know Chelsea must be in an attacking shape in order to win consistently, and none of these stats are remotely applicable to an attacking shape. When you know your mind and you set your conditions, none of these bus parking stats are relevant.

This player has even had to adapt to add core defensive aspects to his game and become the complete all rounder DM. Jorginho outran every single player at the Euros.

Jorginho also set the record for the highest interceptions in the euro tournament.
Also being the best at various defensive metrics on the way to leading his team to the biggest trophies in football.
You can only deceive those with poor interpretation of stats with the above.

Jogginghoe played by far the most minutes and made half his interceptions at the Euros against Spain parking bus. These are purely curcumstantial and based on team low-block set-up which encourages plenty of interceptions for the DM. It does not solve the main criticism of which is inability to be defensively solid when Chelsea are playing higher up the pitch.

Secondly running stats are not about the distance covered but the speed at which they are covered. Players like Jorginho and Fabregas jogged around in a circle in order to create angles for the defence to pass the ball, and Fabregas always topped the running stats, it does not make their running effective or make them defensively solid when taken in isolation without looking at what type of running they do (sprints, jogs etc). Those who close the gaps at speed like Kante, Essien and co hardly figure at the top of the km/game stats. In addition, Jogginghoe played the most minutes by far in the Euros having played every minute of every game including 3 extra times, and in the position that covers the most Km (DM) so covering the most kilometers is to be expected. It would be more surprising if he did not. Nobody with their brain screwed on will watch Jogginghoe pointing at other players to come and cover a 5 yard gap any other DM should be closing and say his running stats is evidence of him being effective at closing spaces.

Like I always say, you are a newbie in interpreting football stats. These things can only impress someone who doesn't understand the context of football stats and how to apply them.

Some bag-holders will feel they are holding Monkeys at times like these. . . .

"Monkey Business"

A lot of monkeys lived near a village.

One day a merchant came to the village to buy the monkeys.

He announced that he would buy the monkeys for £100 each.

The villagers thought he was mad.

They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys for £100 each?

Still, some people caught a few monkeys and gave them to the merchant and he gave them £100 for each monkey.

This news spread like wildfire and more people caught more monkeys to sell to the merchant.

After a few days, the merchant announced that he would buy monkeys for £200 each.

Even the lazy villagers now ran around to catch the remaining monkeys and sold them for £200 each.

Then the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys for £500 each.

The villagers started to lose sleep! They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left, and got £500 for each one.

The villagers were waiting anxiously for the next announcement.

Then the merchant left with all the monkeys said he was going home for a week and when he returned he would buy monkeys for £1,000 each.

He secretly gave the monkeys to his employee, instructed him to advertise and sell in the nearby village for £700.

The merchant went home and the villagers were very sad as there were no more monkeys left for them to sell at £1,000 each.

The employee did as instructed.
This news spread like wildfire. Since the merchant will buy monkeys for £1,000 each, there is a £300 profit for each monkey.

The next day the villagers made a queue near the monkey cage in the nearby village.
The employee sold all the monkeys for £700 each. The rich bought monkeys in big lots. The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys.

The villagers took care of the monkeys and waited for the merchant to return but nobody came. The employee in the nearby village had also disappeared.

The villagers then realised that they had bought the valueless stray monkeys for £700 each and were unable to sell them.

No different from celebrating Kepa or Alonso winning an individual trophy. Does nothing for Chelsea except such a liability coming back from winning award to demand new contract, a larger pay packet and a place in the first team where he can continue being a liability.

Hehe... Bitc0ins brutality no be here...

The significant levels on Bitc0in are 40k, 36k, 30k, 28k, 25k and 20k.
36k is really important... The capitulation on alyts at Bitc0in dipped below is telling... I'm watching to see if it can crawl back above or if it'd reject off it and head for 30k... Eith looks weaker and 2k seems locked in.

The rate and manner of this decline is making the final capitulation wick - one that flushes the market likely.

Alot of folks are calling 30k, but my thinking is that if bitc0in wicks to that level (without a very strong bounce), it's likely eventually flush the whole range....i.e take out 28k too...

Regarding the interest rate hikes, my take is that markets adjust and price in such events... For whatever reason, in any big market, it's extremely unlikely to have 4 capitulation events in a year... Even 2 sef.. They are capitulations for a reason. There's a good possibility that Bitc0in is currently pricing in those moves and would either just remain boring for a while or even rally into those hikes. Same way it sells off after each halving (which is supposed to be bullish)

It's difficult to call this one as Bitc0in can bounce at any of those levels... With Bitc0in, the bottoms are always obvious in retrospect.
The Eithy capitulation is shocking boss. Eithy behaving like a microcap. That ain't good news for alts since Eithy is their standard bearer

I think the pricing in is best judged from the NASDAQ (down 5% this week) and it may not be finished. I would expect a pricing in of such event for equities to hit 10 to 20%. Since BeeTee is the last buy and first sell for institutions, there may still be more downside.

Sometimes Asset markets will oversell to force the FED to choose between Asset markets and the real economy, so I don't think the rate rises are locked in. If inflation stays fairly manageable or improves slightly, we may start to see less hawkish tones from the Fed and a reversal of their stated intention. Fed always acts politically as no Administration will want to be the one that affected støckmarket and everybody's 401k, so they may still go doveish if Asset markets throw enough tantrum. I don't think the tantrum thrown so far is enough to forestall a reaction to 7% inflation just yet though.

I also have another thought which is the conservative side of me kicking in. Just fear of interest rate rises have brought BTC down to $36k, and four rises are planned this year. Each one will hammer down on the price and we are already not far from $30k
