donjazet: Wow! I don't know where to begin to address this, but know this, I am highly bemused by the sheer grandiosity, arrogance and superiority complex corralled in this vicious diatribe. It seems like once some of you go outside the country, you automatically assume a superiority mental complex against those still in Nigeria.
Beyond this forum, you do not know me and I do not know you, you don't know my career or my place of work so what the fuck_ gives you the right to assume that you are more knowledgeable than I am or anyone still here in Nigeria?
I posted a documentary that gave good insights into how Britain is used as a vehicle for global money laundering, also highlighting the strategic role British common wealth dominions like the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, british Virgin Islands etc plays in laundering money for corrupt entities globally, only for you to dismiss it arrogantly because you believe you already know it all.
You claim to say you know about British colonial and corporate abuses but you also think they have ended? Such shallowness.
You are talking about Nigerian laws as if you are not aware that Britain still has influences on our law making especially concerning anything that does with our oil.
Read up on the formation of NNPC and the partnership agreements with Shell. Our refineries were built by shell. Read up on the allocation of oil wells to shell, I don't need to teach you these things.
You are extremely naive if you think Britain via Shell doesn't still influence Nigerian politics.
Lastly, I don't know why you would foolishly think i have a persecution complex or whatever that means. That I criticize racism or racists does not mean i hate all white men. You are very myopic if that was what you could deduce from my postulations on racism.
I do recognize that there are racist white people abroad but I also know that there are a lot of good and kindhearted white people. I mean I admire their organizations and their progressive mentality, so stop assuming I blame all white people for all the problems.
read up these links and further enlighten yourself on money laundering in the UK and stop arrogantly assuming it is non existent.
For clarification of my thought on this, I know that our leaders here are morbidly corrupt but I also know that Britain influences these corruption.
Read below. https://www.occrp.org/en/daily/10979-ti-report-exposes-the-uk-as-a-money-laundering-haven

PS. I will not reply you on this issue again to avoid us going into full scale brawls or insults. The only person going into aggressive language is you. You are naive my friend if you think it is the prerogative of financial institutions to act as judge, jury and executioner on money flows. Billions flow through the financial systems daily at quick speed. If I send a Western Union or a Sendwave now, do you think it's their responsibility to check the source of the funds? If a company incorporated in Dubai today want to purchase another company or property in UK for £1bln today, do you think the Financial Institution acting as processing house for those funds is supposed to investigate the source of funds? If it's above a certain amount, they may have to declare it, but if Dubai has not alerted the UK that this company is suspect, then there is nothing stopping the transaction. Even as we speak, Nigerian banks are washing millions in corrupt funds daily and you want to blame the UK who are none the wiser. Do you really think your average clearing house knows who Orji Uzor Kalu or Alison Deizani is when clearing their funds, when Nigeria have not put any mark on their name. All they will see is one company with legitimate business who want to transfer funds. It is up to you as a country to enact your own laws and enforcement to curb corruption, punish looters etc rather than relying on International Financial institions who have millions of automated transactions to clear every day to do your policing for you. Someone built a banking system, not to Police other countries lax attitude to corruption but to earn commissions from providing a financial service. Same as Nigerian banks. It is not their duty to investigate whether this person transferring millions is a second cousin to the Governor of Bauchi. Build your own banking system and quit blaming those who built a quick and liquid banking system for your woes, cos you will never be satisfied with any banking system as long as you have thousands of corrupt people. Your post just shows your youth and naivety, it is understandable. |

donjazet: There it is, you have reduced the argument to name-calling, abuse and insults. I will not go down that path with you seeing as you are one of the guys I truly respect here. Although, i am very disappointed that you would resort to abuse in the face of a contrary opinion and facts.
I am not saying that Nigeria or other African countries are not corrupt, I would be foolish to not point out our morbidly corrupt leaders, however I am pointing out to you, the fact that Britain who colonized us has helped not only our leaders but other countries corrupt elements to wash their money and protect the stolen assets.
You are making it appear like Britain is a saint in these issues and that my friend is very short-sighted and worse still disappointing coming from you.
And stop thinking that i am emotionally attached to these issues, I am just a man that has broadened my horizons and put it to good use.
Anyways, seeing as you have resorted to pettiness and insults, I will no longer debate with you on this issue. My friend stop jumping from pillar to post. I never abused you, I said you are chatting rubbish (which you were). You jumped from claiming British Govt is shielding Deizani (false), to claiming they are shielding Shell (false). You even said "Till date, Nigeria is the only country that is unable to get adequate compensation for the oil spill and environmental damage done in our lands by shell.". Can you show me any suit brought against Shell by the Nigerian Govt? I mean how can you be so factually inaccurate, then advise me to go and "read". Nigerian Govt is the one shielding Shell and is the one responsible for making and enforcing Nigerian Environmental Laws, not British Govt. Nigerian Govt is not only negligent in Environmental enforcement, but is responsible for numerous human rights abuse of indigenous people who complain about Environmental degradation. The Land Use Act of 1978 allows them to just steal your land, explore on it, pollute it and you get no partnership in the proceeds. It was specifically designed to steal Niger Delta people's land without recompense. Nigeria killed SaroWiwa and the Ogoni 9, and guess what, it is in European Courts that those families have been able to get some millions in compensation from Shell for their part in the Ogoni troubles, whilst Nigeria who actually killed them are yet to pay a penny to those families. BTW, Ogoni are not the only ones suffering from environmental abuse, we are all suffering and Nigerian Govt whose responsibility it is to to make and enforce these laws just allow a free for all, and are 50-50 partners in any oil venture. And yet, you are here blaming Britain and the White man as usual. In comparison to our Banana Republics, we can at least take some solace in the fact that the International Community is willing to listen to Indigenous tribes on human rights and environmental issues despite our Home Govts not only propagating the abuse but killing those who speak. Ok, let's juxtapose with Jair Bolsanaro allowing anyone to go logging in the Amazon, relaxing mining regulations etc leading to Environmental abuses in Brazil. Is it British Govts responsibility to go after any British logging company in Brazil who are simply abiding by the law of the land? From there, you then jumped from pillar to another post talking about our leaders hiding money in Cayman Islands. Are you not aware that Cayman Islands are autonomous and make their own Trust laws and are blacklisted by the EU, with Britain and Yankee having to constantly arm-twist them into signing deals aimed at disclosure of their citizens hiding savings there. Are you not aware that these small countries compete for investment by slashing tax to almost zero, and there are dozens of tax havens where Nigerians and others hide money and have nothing to do with Britain or the "white man" you like to blame including Panama, Fiji, Samoa, Oman, Palau, Seychelles etc and hundred of other tax havens including Monaco, Luxembourg, Palau, Antigua and most small Carribean Nations and even the so called Dubai where our leaders now like stashing their money when they saw what happened to Ibori and Abacha loot. I can buy a small country today and make it a tax haven if I want and Donjazet will still be blaming Britain for it. DonJ if you want, I can personally get some of my guys to set up shell Companies for you in Marshall Islands, and I have consulted for companies incorporated there before. Those people are aboriginal people. I hope you won't blame neighbouring Australia in your unending cause to blame Oyinbo for every woe, just like you left Nigeria who never signed extradition request for Deizani to blame Britain who are still waiting on Naija. And I don't need to watch your documentary. Where you are today, I have been 12-20 years ago, and am well informed on Colonial and Corporate abuses of Africans. You will think an older person does not have knowledge because they are not interested in you pushing your leftist persecution complex all the time. Like someone said a young man who is not a Socialist is heartless, but an older man who is still a socialist is stüpid. Don't think you are telling me anything new just cos you are reading today what I've absorbed and processed 15 years ago, and no longer interested in. |

donjazet: it seems to me like you are boldly affirming that the British government doesn't encourage and aid corruption in Africa, if so that is a big lie my brother.
As a matter of fact, there is a reason Britain is called the world's headquarters of finance. Incase you don't know Britain uses its dominions like the Cayman Islands and the rest to launder dirty money from the globe.
Britain is the world's headquarters for money laundering, from Russian oligarchs to South American drug cartels, to corrupt African government officials. Watch this video below and see for yourself the corrupt entity called Britain.
As a matter of fact, you need to go and read up the deadly history of shell oil in Nigeria and its role in all the governments of Nigeria since the discovery of oil in Nigeria. Guy, you are just chatting rubbish with emotions and devoid of facts. If a country wants to go after any individual, it is up to them to request extradition or provide solid evidence so that the other country can prosecute like we did for Ibori. You are sitting in a country with thousands of known thieves roaming free and buying judgements even when caught red-handed, yet pointing fingers at Britain for Deizani who you have not provided extradition request for, despite the fact they helped you arrest her and seize her assets pending investigation. If you have evidence, Britain will convict. This is not a Banana Republic. Just ranting about Shell. Does Nigerian Govt have any problem with Shell who are it's partners and have they brought any suit against Shell? Any suit against Shell is a human rights issue not a Govt request and BTW, Shell was asked by European Courts to pay some millions to SaroWiwa family. You think it's easy for an indigenous group to bring Corporate suit against a multinational where the Govt in that country do not support their claim and are in fact actively opposed to any suit against Shell. Go read what British Courts did to BAE systems who they found to be bribing Saudi Govt to buy their weapons. You just ranting emotionally with no cognisance of facts. |

The way the EFCC is actively trying to get her to forfeit the properties and assets traced to her points to this direction.
They will still find a way to prosecute her though. If they don't want to link her to Jonathan, all they can do is extradite and prosecute her themselves than make noise up and down. If they provide any solid evidence to Scotland Yard and Goodluck is implicated, UK will not spare him. I think Goodluck has signed deal with FG which is making FG reluctant to provide any prosecutable evidence to UK, so they are making noise about bringing her home for trial, but yet to get the AGF to put in extradition request. You can't eat your cake and have it. Goodluck meanwhile should be careful that Italy don't sweep him up in Malabu investigations. |

donjazet: Deiziani Allison was able to hide in London for years despite being known as a behemoth of corruption.
It's no hidden knowledge that the British government has been shielding corrupt African politicians and actually participating in them. Just look at shell and and their actions in the country.
Till date, Nigeria is the only country that is unable to get adequate compensation for the oil spill and environmental damage done in our lands by shell. What are you talking about? Deizani has been in London because there was no arrest request from GoodLuck. The minute Buhari put in request, she was arrested. Her assets in UK have been seized and awaiting solid evidence from EFCC and was still waiting for extradition request from Nigeria which Nigerias Attorney General refused to sign (maybe because they know Deizani is more likely to face better Justice in UK ala Ibori - unlike Nigeria where she can buy judgement). Your country never signed any extradition request, hasn't provided solid evidence, and you are here blaming the white man as usual. Your fellow black man from Dominica even sold her diplomatic passport for a $2m property in New York to sheild her from prosecution and personally handed it to her but na white man you dey blame. Do you know how easy it would be for Nigeria to put pressure on the small island of Dominica (population 72,000) whether directly or via Caribbean Free Trade Association or Britain or US to cancel her envoyship and thus end her immunity? Na just to dey rant for newspaper like EFCC usually do. What happened to Ibori when Nigeria requested he be dealt with? Keep blaming Britain for your own incompetence. You think Britain will shield any thief that Nigeria is serious about. On the contrary, it is Nigeria that will be shielding it's own thieves like Buruji Kashamu from extradition abroad. There is a thief USA has been looking for, and Nigeria refusing to extradite. |

Copy the link and search, I don't know why it's not giving a direct display. This link does not give us the origin of the word Akata, just highlights the negative way some Twitter users use it. I believe Akata, just like Jamo, Chinko, Oyinbo, Dudu, Bongo or Charlie is not a derogatory phrase, just a short-form we invented to add to our pidgin and can be used either way. I don't know why the writer linked it to slave trade, as if by saying that because Nigerians sold slaves and they use the word Akata, it must automatically be a racist term. As far as Nigerians of those days were concerned, taking someone as a slave was not seen as a sign of superiority. Slaves were not seen as lower breeds but immediately allowed to rise into positions based on their ability. Coming from Ijaw Kingdom where we make slaves part of the family and slaves have full inheritance in their masters property, I find this characterisation absurd. Most of our Kings were descended from slaves having been assimilated into the family while some slaves were made Kings themselves like Jaja of Opobo as the society was meritorious rather than hereditary. For example, my grandmums' grandad was a slave, while my grandads dad was a slave trader and slave owner, yet they allowed their children to marry cos we do not differentiate between slave and freeborn in Nigeria. There is no tribe in Nigeria that kept slaves that would point to a dichotomy in their society between slaves and freeborn. |

nihilistjnr: These people will soon understand that the immigrant mindset might be the one to adopt. I don't think we can place expectations on people who've been brutalised for 400 years to change mindset so easily. My own focus is that we as Africans do not have to take on their own mindset of repression as we have not been through the same oppression, and this is what I was trying to impart on Donjazet. It cost nothing for us to empathise with the struggles of our brothers, but we cannot imbibe the same psychological aftereffects. Where we grew up in a family units for example, their family units were destroyed over hundreds of years such that for example, a child born to a slavewoman and a free black man reverts to the mother and becomes the property of the slaveowner. Likewise, families were ripped apart and sold willynilly to the point almost no Akata then could point out his father, and many could not point to their brothers and sisters. Booker Washington made a point just after abolition that a white boy feels the expectations of the family unit, even the expectations of cousins and distant relatives and that drives them to succeed whereas a black boy is usually alone except his mum and is only answerable to himself. So we as Africans having not gone through that generational experience cannot take on the same angst/hopelessness and resentment into our psyche cos our circumstances are different. Whereas every gesture or every badge feels like a symbol of repression to them, someone like me can even stop and chat with a Policeman, whereas when a Caribbean guy sees a Policeman, he is already on edge and ready for anything. That's how two 18 year old girls in UK who organised BLM postests came out to say they are more scared of dying from Police than Covid-19 and Police could kill them at any time. I said na wa oh, even for UK sef people feel like this? This one done reach persecution complex. |

gensteejay: I'm now settled and less busy, having completed the day's work. Don't take this comment personally.
About your question: I didn't make/author that statement.
What I made mention of was the history of the name, yESHUa (or yESHU), according to the Book of Universal History compiled by OtemAtum, whom I regard as a very great historian. And there are lots of truths in the book.
As far as I'm concerned, the literature is the greatest historical piece of literature in this era on this planet as it's the first book of history in the modern era to document the histories of the past extinct races of gods, goddesses, Nephilim, Nephilia, Neanderthals, homo Erectus, and currently homo Sapien right from the Beginning.
It took me a year to finish the book (in 2018) due to the busy schedules I had then.
Otem is a scribe of god Atum, one of the ancient gods of Egypt.
Atum is a god that detests religion and worship of any god (in the book, he explained all the gods of religions are creatures like ourselves and that all of them (including him) left this planet billions of years ago to other worlds in the universe).
According to Atum (as reported by Otem), the first beings that colonized this planet were 8 in number: Atum, Largas (Allah), Nymphidis (Jehovah/Yahweh), Mormoh, Chimides, Chaleb, Ephradite, and Euchlydes. All these entities met a goddess on Earth, known as Gaia. Over time, many other gods and goddesses joined them on this planet, the likes of Olohun, Chineke, Zeus, Isis, El, Ra, Eshu, Ogun, Aluna, Ala, Oya, and thousands of others.
No need to go into that further.
Back to your question: According to the Book of Universal History, Jesus was originally a Nephilim, who was the firstborn of god Murmoh (an entity from Africa and was dark in skin color) and another goddess, Earthus (or Gaia) another entity worshipped in history.
When Gaia gave birth to Jesus, he was named Faulkin. He was a Nephilim (a giant), a black man, and was the firstborn of the Earth because prior to his birth, no being had had sex on this planet let alone give birth. That's the origin of Jesus' title, "Firstborn of All Creation".
Otem's book is a historical text that contains the origin of virtually all the concepts in today's religions, and the origin of all gods and goddesses and prophets in religions including Yahweh, Olohun, Allah, Jesus, Muhammad, Solomon, and several others.
It explains how many popular cities in the past human world got their name, and seeing the etymology of the names of those places and the consistency of the claims in the literature, I know the book has a lot of truths.
The book contains many hidden scrolls (chapters hidden from books like the Bible, etc.).
In one of the different places in the book that talked about Jesus' history, there are accounts of how Faulkin (Jesus) learnt a lot of mysteries of this planet from his adopted father and god (Yahweh/Nymphidis) and Yahweh's god-mate, Eshu, who was from the area now called Nigeria.
According to the literature, here's the origin of the name, yESHUa or yESHU: "Now when Jehoshua who was called also Yehoshua had done what Eshu requested of him, his name became Yeshua or Jeshua.
And the name of the crafty god of the southwestern part of river Niger became fixed into his name. And Faulkin began to bear Yeshua henceforth. And Faulkin learnt more craftiness from Eshu. And his wisdom increased so much." (pp. 160-161, Book of Universal History)
Yeshua or Yeshu's etymology was derived by shortening Yahweh and merging it with Eshu. This OtemAtum matter na wa oh! |
