I am of the opinion that the transfer ban should be lifted...

because I feel we need some new quality players in defence and attack.. a CB and a CF would be nice, an LB too, but then again it's January transfer window.
Transfer ban should be lifted - for Business continuity, not necessarily to change the 1st team too much. We sign a lot of players aged 18-23 every year, not necessarily for the first year immediately. These players are in negotiations with other clubs. There are two youngsters we are targeting at Dijon for example. Any dithering and they could sign elsewhere.

Transfer ban is like border closure. It hampers natural course of business. For example Batshauyi contract expires in 20 months. Lifting transfer ban now allows us to get good value for him in January than in the summer. We can then target someone like Timo Werner as replacement for £27m release clause. While the ban is in place, there are many moves we cannot make, for example, if someone shows interest in Alonso in January, we can't sell him without replacement.

These are the reasons to challenge transfer ban, not necessarily to stop the momentum of players who are doing well currently.

LOL,

You cannot face facts. How do you know that Oscar always played in the hole whenever he started? Anyway, we have seen that Fabregas played in the hole. Chikena. His number of games in the hole and set plays boosted his chances created that season.

Good night.
This is what happens when you give too much data to a baboon. How do your people stomach you on this thread?

Let me help you. You said Fabregas made so many assists cos he was in the hole.

elampiro:
If you see a CM having a high chances created, it is either he plays a bulk of the games in the hole (number 10) like Fabregas did for Chelsea or he takes set play.
A case of an over-opinionated eediot typing nonsense without watching matches.

Below are all Fabregas assists in EPL that season. Can you count for me how many assists while nominally marked down as an AM compared to CM?

Of 19 assists detailed there, 14 of them came in the pivot. 2nd half of the season when he started nominally playing AM, his assists dried up (like I told you). Instead of learning from witnesses to the fact, you open your baboon lips to form agidi with confidence.

All these are pure lies. Chelses played one formation that season. I remember very well. We were all talking about it.

Below another match when Chelsea beat United late in the season. That was when Zouma marked Fellani
Will you shut up.

Oscar started 26 matches in the league that season.

So is it in the other 12 matches that Fabregas made numerous assists playing in the hole.

Those who actually watched Chelsea that season will tell you Fabregas made most of his assists with Oscar on the pitch.

As I have told your coconut head time.without number, when Oscar didn't play, the shape.of the team was more 4-3-3 with Ramires shuttling up to join the attack more often while Fabregas runs the play. You want to read on Google and argue with someone who watched every match. Bloody Google analyst.

Even after shoring evidence? Ok, you read below: Also, Osca started only 26 matches and Chelsea played only 4-2-3-1. Mourinho clearly stated that time two players were being used (alternated) in the hole. If I remember well, he also said it when he came to United. You just like to argue.

.......................................
Both teams played in 4-2-3-1 formations. For Chelsea, the young Courtois started on goal. A familiar back 4 started the match, with Ivanovic being more adventurous in his forward movements (especially off of goalkicks from Chelsea). As the #6s for Chelsea Matic and Ramires started, with Ramires having a vertical role. This comes quite naturally to him as he seems to have infinite stamina and loves getting up and down the field. Ahead of them, the new signing Cesc Fabregas played as the #10. Cesc very often dropped deep to build play. On the right Willian started. Willian had quick & long movements when dropping into the interior areas of the field for buildup, he gave Chelsea a different and quicker rhythm when on the ball. Hazard played on the left looking to move inside from wide areas and use his dribbles and quickness to create. Up front started the new signing for Chelsea, Diego Costa. He had a huge workrate both offensively and defensively. He looked to make diagonal runs from the center towards either side, providing a fast vertical outlet and some creativity as well.
Google analyst. Anytime Chelsea played without Oscar, Fabregas played as a CM, not in no bloody hole. Fabregas runs the play and Ramires makes the forward runs. And that is only in the very big games. You missed the part there where the writer said "Cesc very often dropped deep to build play." 4-2-3-1 is lazy paper talk. Chelsea played 4-3-3 if Oscar did not play.

Oscar lost his place in the team in January. Cesc made almost all his assists before January playing as a PIVOT DM alongside Matic. A lot of his assists came from long passes over the top for Costa to chase or from set pieces, not cos he was playing in any bloody hole.

Google analyst.

I nearly fell off my chair when you said DeBruyne is not playing midfield because of his high volume of assists. You then confirmed you don't watch matches by claiming Fabregas made his assists cos he was playing in the hole. If DeBruyne is not playing midfield by the way, I wonder where David Silva is playing. David Silva is more often the AM in the trio. DeBruyne is often not even the farthest midfielder. But then again, you only read matches, you don't watch them.

But I watched him na. He and Oscar played there.
So we had 2 players in the hole?

Guy stop yarning dust.

Fabregas made almost all his assists in the first half of the season playing in pivot with Matic while Oscar was in the hole.

After Spurs disgraced us 5-2 in January, Mourinho saw our midfield was overrun and started playing Zouma in the midfield in the big games, dropping Oscar. The midfield shape changed to a 3 and Fabregas stopped assisting from that period, hardly.recording assists till season end. Costa also stopped scoring. From then we relied on winning games by single.goals with Hazard often providing the difference.

Fabregas has never played hole for Chelsea, simples.

Under Mourinho second coming. He used Oscar or Fabregas in the hole.
Fabregas was used in double pivot. He never played hole. Even on the odd occasion, he played in 3 man midfield, it was not in the hole.

Fact: Chances created are the 3rd assignment of a DM and a CM. Their first and second assignments are to shield defence and accurately pass the ball forward. If you see a CM having a high chances created, it is either he plays a bulk of the games in the hole (number 10) like Fabregas did for Chelsea or he takes set play.

A team without functional midfield will find themselves blaming everyone from right back to left back to strikers.

This is what we Chelsea fans were going through in the Emenalo years while some Chelsea fans go dey blame every other position without focussing on the real Koko.

Now some confused people on the thread are blaming everyone from AWB to Maguire to Rashford and Martial. Una no know ball!

What makes you think Man City can play midfielders like Delph, wingers like Zinchenko at left back, talkless of midfielders like Fernandinho and Rodri at CB? Not to mention useless defenders like Stones and Otamendi?

Simple - once your midfield is functional, a lot of other positions will be covered. A good midfield covers a lot of sins.

What made OGS think AWB and Maguire are his priority, without touching the midfield. So he thought the likes of Fred and Perreira will keep him competitive? Never mind the fact he lost Herrera who was probably the only thing resembling a half-decent option in that midfield.

This is 80% of your problem. Any other talk is confusion. Long may your confusion continue!!

There's nothing inferior about it.

Okporoko is now our own, and an important part of the Nigerian palette, even though it can only be cured in Arctic conditions.

All the spices used by Englishmen are not native to England. They started using spices when people started bringing it back from India, and use those spices till today even though they don't grow it. I'm talking Tumeric, Cinnamon etc. Even banana which is a food staple in Europe does not grow in Europe.

You are the one with inferiority complex.

Free our Okporoko.

Hmm. I am blessed to know a former Deputy Director of NAQS and he told me how he went to Tromsø to see how stock fish are cured and after that trip, he doesn't eat stock fish again.

The Norwegians that produce this stock fish (okporoko) don't eat it. It is for export only.
Oga leave that thing. Okporoko became an important ingredient in our soups because we found a way to make it work in a way the Scandinavians could not.

Yes it is freeze dried for months in the open. This is what the Vikings used to conquer the world over 10,000 years ago. It was one of the only foodstuff you could put on a ship that would not go rotten so it fueled their stomachs for long sea journeys.

The Scandinavian taste has moved on, however we have found a way to make it an important part of our soups. Same way the English no longer eat tripe (shaki) and ponmo, that does not mean we should stop eating it.
