junnyjake: The NFF might want to cut cost by inviting a majority of homebased players to execute the inconsequential game against Seychelles. The game is by March next year when the league must have resumed.
So, I'm not expecting to See that much foreign based players getting invited. Yes, a fair number of home based players are expected to be involved but I am of the opinion that only those who are within the U23 and U20 age brackets should be involved. Cos those are the ones that would be useful for our football going forward. |

do4luv14: actually I think there is a disadvantage or so, can you believe that a supervisor in lekki, at elegushi, refuse to give me a job even after his boss had OK it? all cos am from AJ and what pains me is he said I will steal and run away even going as far as complaining abt transport, I can relate to what u are saying. How u overcome such is to use an address that is not Ajegunle. U can make use any relative's address that is in a more respected area. My Dad worked at Lagos Island then and so I used his work address. I know cases of prospective bankers then that could not get the Job because they stayed in Ajegunle and do not have any rich family members that could deposit huge money in the banks. It is crazy out there bro. But there is always a way out. |

tbaba1234: What is Emery feeding Iwobi?? The boy is on a different level this season.. I don't know why it took the board that long to kick out Wenger. Not just Iwobi the entire Arsenal team has been fired up since Emery came in. Iwobi even said it that playing under Emery is more demanding than playing under Wenger. Cos he expects more from you. Emery sure knows how to play Iwobi. But please let Emery stop starting Mkhi, why would he bench a goals machine like Auba? |

Fire on my boy ChrisKels, for the umpteenth time, I never praised Ondoa, in fact it was people that were backing Uzoho that were using Ondoa as example. I have cleared this air several times but u still chose to be adamant. |

BascoVanVeli: You think our best defender should be waiting for FA cup before he plays? He should be playing week in week out. As he is not being featured week in week out nko, what do we do? Force him out of BHA or force the coach to start playing him? Yes, we all want him playing week in week out, I was only weighing scenarios of he having opportunity of game time from Cup game. |

BascoVanVeli: Is it too early to call Leon's move to Brighton a bad idea. Too early to say. The league is still relatively young with several league and Cup games ahead. He is a first choice deputy CB and so likely to get more game time as fatigue sets in on the 2 starting CBs. |

charlesemeka85: wey pple wey dey hype am? The boy was really a bright prospect. There are certain players that when you see them at Youth Level (especially U17), you can almost bet with your life that they will Turn out to be World Class. This is not the first time. It has been happening since the inception of youth competitions. And this will not be the last. I am not ruling him out completely though. He may still work-hard and get his career back on track. At least now he knows success after the U17 is not automatic. |

charlesemeka85: Arsenal have been told by FC Porto that midfielder Kelechi Nwakali who is on loan at the Portuguese side could have is deal terminated if he fails to buckle up, Owngoalnigeria.com reports. Nwakali started his loan spell at the club with the B team who are in the second division in Portugal but after a fine start in pre season, he has so far failed to nail a permanent spot in the starting line up of the team.
The club have complained of his poor work ethics in training and in the few games he has played so far and at the age of 20, they believe he should be doing more than what he is offering at the moment.
A progression to the first team was on the card in his early days at the club as he trained with the first team prior to league and cup games but since last month he hasn’t joined them in training, no thanks to his poor form for the B team.
Last season Nwakali who won the Most Valuable Player ( MVP) award of the 2015 U17 World Youth Championship had to drop a step down to Dutch second division side MVV Maastricht after failing to nail a spot at top division side VVV Venlo.
Since beginning his professional club career he has only experienced success at MVV Maastricht, something which is a surprise to many due to his undeniable talents which saw him invited to the senior national team of Nigeria last month.
His sublime goal for the B team of Nigeria in a 2-3 friendly loss to Atletico Madrid led to talks about including him in Nigeria’s World Cup squad for the June soccer showpiece in Russia but since then his performance has experienced a bad slump. Too bad. He really needs to buckle up. |

Yahaya was not on the team.
Not looking good for the Porto B contingent. I fear for Yahaya's career. He is still within our next U23 age cadre. That might be another repackaging opportunity for him and his agent. |

TheSuperNerd: It is hate. In your cases, you pull Nacho down to the mud even when he does produce the goods. He scores, and you guys will talk about his first touch and call him average. If it is not that, he assists and you talk about his failure to hit that shot well... Bla bla bla... You even bring Nacho into your arguments when talking about other players when Nacho was never even supposed to be part of that discussion. You guys do it a lot... So yours is wayyy different. In Iggy's case... Before his current explosive form, he was barren. Simple and short. And the criticism was justified but what I cannot stand for is calling him trash, or insulting the man. Or going as far as threatening him as they did on Instagram.
In the Super Eagles team today, Nacho still boasts a better goals involvement over a lesser number of games. Yet you guys always had negative things to say about him. Someone even called Nacho a dog. Mehn that is pure undiluted hate. No questions asked. It is very very bad. Person that said we should drop Ighalo and Iheanacho so we can invite Kayode and who sef. Now forming Ighalo's attorney. |

BascoVanVeli: So Ighalo is now Marcos Rojo abi? Let me guess Ighalo was also the reason Davido's uncle lost his election.
I was absolutely satisfied with him as our striker, without a shadow of a doubt. So it was Marcos Rojo that missed that Chance to give Nigeria a 2:1 lead. And on your second paragraph, I see, that tells a lot. When did you start following the Super Eagles please? |

Diavolo: ighalo was rightly criticized for his performances previously cos they were poor even at times abysmal and it was justified. But over the last two games he tried and performed well and he's been praised, but that's not to say he didn't deserve those criticism, he deserved them just as he deserves the present praise. Thank you. |

BascoVanVeli: How many clear chances were created for him? That is the truth I am asking for. You are a giant when it comes to knowledge of football so how could you miss that if your mind was not clouded by something else? If he offered nothing like you say the coach would never invite him.
Ighalo was scoring goals and you asked me why I liked the mediocre striker? You disowned him from his area in Lagos which you are from. Flash in the pan was what you called him at Watford How many clear chances did he score from in the last 2 games? maybe 1 or 2. Most of the goals were scored from either half chances or from the ones he created himself. That is what is expected of a quality CF. And not to be hiding behind or beside defenders and expecting a pass before u can do any thing or be running into wrong positions and offside. Besides, there were so many clear chances he got in previous games, it was either he played straight to the goalie, wide, or ran into offside positions. He was highly clinical in the last 2 games and that was the difference. And yes he was a Flash in the pan at Watford. That remains the untwisted fact. And yes also, I opined he was one of the Worst players from my hood that ever played for the SE because he failed to Impress like his predecessors. |

BascoVanVeli: Your distaste for the striker goes back to his U20 playing days right or wrong? You kicked against him in the super eagles from the beginning that I know.
You cannot give a man one half chance per match and start crying goal drought all about. The fact is that your dislike for him made you overlook the truth sir. Which truth? Odion Ighalo disappointed at the U20 and U23, how would I expect much from him? Now, get it right, I do not have anything personal against Ighalo. There is no way I would have been happy with a striker that has consistently underperformed in the GWG. See, I am very Happy he scored 5 goals this weekend because he did it for Nigeria. And I sincerely hope and he continues scoring. But I still wouldn't be surprised if he falls back to default mode. |
