Lolz.
The lion is not the biggest animal in the jungle.
Real Madrid won previous UCL and current one not because they were the best team.
We may not be the best, I just have this conviction that it's our time.

We'll become world beaters when we scale through the French team.
Bros your own Dreaming pass Joseph own o.

I believe in this team but not to the level of winning the World Cup o.

But barca and some club almost always field same 11 barring injury. If the coach had been fielding different players and we loose, you'll be the first to say he keeps changing players.

He's been introducing players one or two at a time and that's the way to go.

The coach is not clueless as some people think. The result is not also deliberate. We simply couldn't win the matches not that we didn't want to win as some would make us believe. I still however believe that the cup is coming down here whether we play well or not
Bros I was nodding in agreement with everything you posted here until you mentioned that Cup part. If na play stop am abeg.

Anyone who sounds pessimistic now as a means of gauging against disappointment just in case it happens but will begin showing apparent and bold faith in the team again when we win or do well instead of losing/disappointing is to me not an Eagle..... Person's more like a vulture or maybe a sparrow hawk.. Lol

Eagles don't gauge against anything... They are all in or not. They have a stand and do not stagger.
Vulture, Sparrow or hawk?

Me I will call them Pigeons.

it's just same dreams bro, same dreams..

Abi their fans no dey dream to lift the worldcup?

Same Iran we played out a goalless draw in 2014?
Nigeria is no more than Iran and Saudi Arabia..

Its the hardest truth I have to accept, before I die in my dreamland
Compare the WC pedigree of Nigeria Vs Iran and Saudi Arabia. How many times have they qualified from the group stage? How many of their players play in top leagues in Europe?

Well, if you choose to lower your expectations on the team so as to avoid heart breaks , no wahala. I see it as a means of coping in the case they disappoint.

Every defeat is painful but one who has been brushed many times reacts better in times of defeat. You criticise but you never wail or cry and no matter the defeat I know your is entirely for the team.
My brother, those of us that have followed football since in the 80s would never be moved again by any form of defeat we see today.

See, World Cup preparation matches most times do not determine how well a team will perform. Trust me on this. This has been a common reoccurence over the decades.

What you just need to look at is the quality you have in your team. The ability of the team.

I am telling you I am not moved. I have seen enough of this team to rate them. The issue is if they can bring their "A" game.

I swear, I haven't lost hope. The hopeful feeling is reinforced whenever I see the second d half performances, but I detest having my hopes dashed.
I don't want it to come to us throwing the kitchen sink at teams and having to wait for a statistician to press his calculator to know how we'll be able to scrape through.
Our coach is a tad too rigid, our starts are too poor, our best formation isn't used till too late, and some big names aren't delivering.
It's a cause for alarm.
Let's all have faith, but with realism and caution.
I perfectly understand how you feel and your fears. But o boy wetin you for talk if you followed our build up to France 98 WC 3-0 and 5-1 defeats. Yet we beat Spain and Bulgaria to book our second round place early enough.

Let's just keep the faith alive bro.

I think Nigerian fans all over the World have cause to worry. And the team deserves all what critisms it will receive from now till 16th June.

Areas to worry about:

The front line is still blunt. Ighalo has underlined his inability to effectively lead the attack. His positioning has always let him down plus he does too much outside the dangerous areas. Nwankwo is like a fresh breath of Air. We need to see more of him. Also Rohr needs to find how to effectively utilize Iheanacho. He also is key to our campaign

The backline is still shaky. There have been occasional moments of indecisions especially between the CBs and also wrong/misplaced passes.Conceding goals in almost every game says alot about the defense.

The midfield is not doing enough to support the attack. Mikel is yet to hit gear.

Rohr feels more comfortable with a back 4 formation but his team seems to play better with the formation that has a back 3. He needs to decide from now till June 16 which he will adopt as the baseline setup as limited number of substitutions affects your tactical switch.

Some positives:

Iwobi: He, and not Mikel or Moses, seem to be the main actor on the pitch. He is the New orchestra leader. His switch from LAM to RAM to CAM and to CM underlines his status as a Super utility player to this team. My hope here may just be that his high work rate does not lead to us losing him to injury.

Ogu: He is a player that can easily switch positions (from DM to CB) when we switch tactics. He spares Rohr one substitution spot. Players like this are always so valuable to a team.

Uzoho: He has continued to grow in confidence and made some important saves in our last few games. His positioning has been his major strength. He, however, needs to do more in commanding his area.

The last 3 results do not look good for us as a team that wants to take the world by storm. But, I still have hopes in this team.

We are Nigeria! And we rise to the occasion when the need arises. That is the naija spirit.

We are defending too deep.

Uzoho needs to be in command of his area. He doesn't seem to be.

We need to hold on to the ball more. Ball possession has been our major strength in years past especially against European oppositions.

Pls has Moses failed Nigeria?

It seems it's only on this thread am seeing us bashing Moses

Pls can you explain deeply why all of a sudden Moses is now a stumbling block to eagle's progress.

Abi not the same Moses of WC qualifier and Moses of Chelsea of just concluded season.
So many here rate players based ONLY on his last match. Let Moses put in a wonderful performance today now they will remember he deserved the APOTY and not Mohammed Sallah.

Chief icon4s let's be realistic at this point. Against Congo Ebuehi fit in perfectly into 4 at the back and Shehu was below par when he came in for Ebuehi, pls go and watch the match again.

My submission is Rohr doesn't rate Ebuehi cos he deserves the starting lineup in any formation based on his performance so far, hope you know i rate Shehu highly but with Congo and England match,Ebuehi should start.
Well, we only watch the team for 90mins. Rohr watches the team for several hours everyday. He knows his players better than we do.

No WC coach will purposely setup his team to fail.

That's all I have to say
