Chelsea have been beaten six times: Blue, Black, White, Green, Yellow and Red this season. Who do u think is most responsible?
1. Jose Mourinho 2. Eva Carneiro (the sacked medic) 3. Edin Hazard 4. Branislav Ivanovic 5. Nemanja Matic 6. Diego Costa 7. Arsene Wenger. |

linked: He is the best player... Chukwueze is the best out.field player.... That guy is too good... His touches are clean... Wonder why I never heard of him pre-tournament Most of us never really got to know most of these players bc of the poor coverage given to the 2015 CAF U17. That Chukwueze guy is like a gazette: lightening quick. However, he needs to work on his final passes. He needs to feed Osimhen and Michael more of those final balls. |

adegwurulez: I think lazarus is heavily underated and that to me is a criminal offence. Dude works his socks off, assists the attack, his recovery rate is good and his crosses are superb. Has this great chemistry with chukwueze(i swear i'll kill the next commentator that calls him chokwueze). I agree with the guy who said chukwueze is the best outfield player. U mean "Chakweza"? That John Lazarus boy is a Trojan. He operates on a very high horse power. He has all the qualities of a modern right back-just like Hector Belerin of Arsenal. He is one of my favorite players of this tourney along with Osimhen, Udoh and "Chakweza". |

Philosopher1979: We need to stop deceiving ourselves. Most of the players we are using for the world cup are over the age of 17. Our leading scorer might be in his mide twenties (25-26). These players may fizzle out in the next few years and be in oblivion. This is why football is not developing in Nigeria. We need to be honest with ourselves Besides, after the world cup we will not even monitor them and get them good clubs. Most of them fall into the hands of football agents who cheat them and exploit them. They will now start playing in places like vietnam and norway. We need to start developing football
1. Use players that are of the correct age in youth competitions 2. Monitor our talented youths and attach them with honest agents who will give them good clubs So because they are winning they are now over-aged. Op u are a disgrace to Nigerian Youths and the country at large. You see nothing good in ur identity. Go and report to FIFA that their MRI Scan was a fraud. |

That's why I've tagged him "Buffon" or "Enyeama".
Alampasu is great. But mehnnn!!!! Udoh is a "SUPER WALL" like the "great wall of China"........*smiles* The NFF needs to pay a particular interest in the development of that guy. Lets hope he improves, we will like to see more of him at U20. |

History of 2 African teams in the semis:
1985: Nigeria and Guinea 1987: Nigeria and Ivory Coast 1993: Nigeria and Ghana 2001: Nigeria and Burkina Faso 2007: Nigeria and Ghana 2015: Nigeria and Mali
In 6 of our 8 semis we have qualified along with our West Africanneighbors. |
Sports › Re: All The News About The Golden Eaglets (U-17) HERE! by Icon4s(m): 7:58am On Nov 02, 2015 |
TheSuperNerd: That was "David Enogela" (the team's midfield destroyer and the "AKINJIDE IDOWU" of this team) NOT Ejike Ikwu.
**smiles**
And Akpan David Udoh, the Goalie, brings to mind "Vincent Enyeama" (coincidentally they are from the same state).
Alampasu of 2013 and current Super Eagles no.3 looks in the mold of Italy's Toldo or Czech Rep's Petr Cech.
But Udoh of 2015 looks more in the mold of Nigeria's Enyeama or Italy's Buffon.
**smiles** yep, Udoh is "that good" Udoh is better than the Alampasu of last U17. |

Nigeria's Semi final Record since 1985:
1985: Nigeria (4) 1-1 (2) Guinea. Penalties 1987: Nigeria 1 - 0 Italy 1993: Nigeria 2-1 Poland 2001: Nigeria 1-0 Burkina Faso 2007: Nigeria 3-1 Germany 2009: Nigeria 3-1 Spain 2013: Nigeria 3-0 Sweden.
What a smashing record! We never lost any of our seven previous semis. |

I am smelling a repeat of last edition's games between Nigeria and Mexico if you know what I mean.Let us also give kudos to d African champions,Mali who have also come this far but I fancy an Africa final(if they can get over Belgium or Costarica).Honestly,West Africa has shown that this is where African talent exists. Nigeria has never lost in any U17 semi-final. |

Mali and Croatia should be one to watch, toughest draw this round
I secretly hope for a Croatian win Have u noticed that ever since d MRI was introduced at d 2009 U17 WC Brazil and Atgentina have been struggling? Even our next door neighbours, Ghana, hu are 2 time champions have failed to qualify since d introduction of d MRI. No more age cheating. |

Badosqi: Our path to the final seems the hardest. We are meeting Brazil the 3-time winner of the competition and if we make it through, we may likely meet our 2013 UAE wife and another U-17 2-time champ Mexico...
We will likely see the winner between Mali and Croatia in the final, this one is just too hard to predict. Can belgium or Costa Rica cause more upset, well I love upsets and I'll love to see more from that path(Mali/Croatia vs Belgium/Costa Rica) to the final. The other way is not easier either. Would u have preferred we played Mali in the Q/Final? Dnt rule out Belgium as u recall they played 1-1 with Mali at the grp stage. And for Costa-Rica to hold the rampaging French team to a 0-0 draw at regulation time it means they are a good side too. For me I think the tournament just really started. Days of 5-0, 5-1,6-0 wins are over I think. We are facing the real contenders now. I would love a Nigeria Mali final! |

safarigirl: I know that all of you only read my posts here so you can say a girl was wrong, but I do believe Icon4s and a couple of others also agreed to rate Croatia only after the game against Germany.... in fact, he made that statement before I did.
so, why don't you go back and find the others to gloat.....
We never said they aren't good, we said we'd need more than the game against Nigeria to rate them as contenders My sister, no need to start defending what is or what is not. Ur stance was clear and right. U dnt judge a team based on one match only. I recall we said let us watch them play against Germany before knowing where to place them. There are some countries that have a fine pedigree when it comes to U17s or youth Championships and Croatia is not one of them (although some 1 or 2 Countries usually spring surprises once in a while). So, one is right to be conservative when rating a team like Croatia. Croatia has done well by beating Germany lets see how they square up against Mali. Meanwhile I am more concerned about Brazil as we don't have a good record against Brazil at all levels of football. |

TheSuperNerd: ------------------BREAKING NEWS---------------------
Oliseh have "officially" invited Martins for Nigeria's November World cup qualifiers........
But like I said earlier in another thread, I "awaited" the "official list of 23-24" players coz the list making rounds since morning are "speculations" with some elements of truth...........
No Iheanacho, No Sone Aluko, and No Victor Moses..... As speculated earlier......
Here's the list:
GKs: Carl Ikeme (Wolverhampton Wanderers); Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Sunshine Stars); Dele Alampasu (Club de Sportivo Feirense).
Defenders: Abdullahi Shehu; Kalu Orji;Elderson Echiejile; Chima Akas; Leon Balogun; Godfrey Oboabona; Efe Ambrose; Austin Oboroakpo.
Midfielders: Ogenyi Onazi;Paul Onobi;Mikel Obi; Rabiu Ibrahim; Wilfred Ndidi ; Sylvester Igbonu.
Forwards: Ahmed Musa;Moses Simon;Odion Ighalo;Ezekiel Bassey;Alex Iwobi;Obafemi Martins.
**Soon this "official list will flood the media**
I confirmed this through Brila Fm's twitter handle.
You know Brila.... Africa's first and Nigeria's only Sports radio...... So that's it....
And I must say I'm kinda surprised Martins made it and Nacho or Isaac Success or Ujah did not (ONE OF THEM SHOULD HAVE). I knew Victor Moses might be snubbed because of the last incident (where he wrote the Nff and Oliseh about his "unique" reasons for wanting to be left out of the friendlies earlier this month).
Oliseh should take it easy biko........ Obviously brought in Enyimba's Ezekiel Bassey in place of Victor Moses.
Well, it's alright.... It's still a "GOOD AND EXCITING" squad, after all, no be swaziland?? (Not underrating them but truth be told.... We don't have to break a sweat to beat them..... If this squad play to their strengths).
Anyway, Nacho and Success.... Pls keep doing ur things..... Ok.... Both ur times will come...
Meanwhile, Martins...... Good to have u back after over 2 yrs I think...... Now is ur chance..... Make a "statement" and stay..... Or else.......
**smiles** Very obvious dat Oliseh has kept faith with d squad dat beat Cameroun with jst d relacement of Emenike with Martins. I would have loved to see Iheanacho, Success and Imoh in dat forward list. Anyways, there time will surely come. I would have also loved d recall of Aluko, Babatunde and Hope Akpan. Oliseh has started again by nt inviting Victor Moses. |

who we go blame if no be am? Very silly talk from him, so if they are successful, who do we blame? Not him I suppose. If he can't take the heat, he should get out, we can't be wasting money on someone who doesn't want to take responsibility for failure Don't mind him. At this crutial time of both the Nigerian and Europian leagues u are expecting to camp players for 1month plus. Anyways i will also blame CAF for the wrong timing of d competition. |

Ezegozie, firstly let me tell u that I also studied Geology (2nd Class Upper) and I served in Akwa-Ibom.
Tackling ur fears from ur listed points:
1. Ur parents living in d village: Yes it mayb a problem if u allow it to be a problem. This is an e-age. Pple no longer walk from office to office looking for jobs. All u need is a mobile phone with internet or a laptop with moderm. Most jobs these days are advertised online. Jst have soft copies if ur credentials. And u should know where d nearest post office is to ur vollage in case u are asked to submit hard copies. And on ur thought of relocating to PH to rent a house when u dnt have a job, dnt try dat. That is suicidal. If u have a friend or relative that live there ok.Same thing if u chose to relocate to Lagos.
2. Issue of connection: I can tell u categorically that u dnt need any connection to get a good job if u have a good grade and u excel at tests and interviews. Ur 2:1 will open up doors of opportunities for u. All that is left is for u to grab them with both hands.
3. Issue of saving enough money during NYSC: My brother u can never save enough no matter how much u earn. Dnt b too bordered abt how much u will save bc as a Corper what u earn is jst enough for ur feeding and transport. However, try and save something no matter how little as u may jst need some little cash to print ur CVs, buy Test questions and pay transport to attend tests and interviews.
Helpful tips for u while still serving: Prepare well. Practise Test past questions, read interview books. Take up (teach) technical subjects like maths and physics, it will sharpen ur brain.
Finally Pray to God for Divine favour and Grace to go through that next stage in ur life. |
