Leorichy: Hi guys, thumbs up for the good work here,i was given Geography in a federal university(even though i choose Geology),pls what is this course "geography" all about, although av did some research online, but just needed an answer from an expert here. Thanks in advance.geography is basically the study of the earth (land forms, physical features, interaction between man and its environment) but mostly concentrated on the earth surface upward to atmosphere, its broad. check online to see the subdivisions. while earth science includes extensions like atmosphere to space(GIS and remote sensing applications) and from earth surface below(sub surface). except for medical sciences earth science would have been the broadest field of study with close to 50 fields of specialty and still counting. |

Juvante: As per publicity, I can do my little part as per contacting some of my connections on LinkedIn,to see if they will be interested in doing their little part in areas like presentations, career fairs, etc. I am in. As per venue, I might be biased but I think it will be easier for many people to take part if it is held in any of the Niger Delta states, perhaps Delta or Rivers!alright lets see how it goes, image is out of the country now, till he returns from Angola before concrete plans will start, pls drop your phone numbers mine |
imag5: thanks for the info..yeah thinking about Lagos,pH or delta and also theme of of the meeting, advertisements and so on...and also probabily in may,am off to Angola for a project when am back we discuss more...let chat on whatsapok |
imag5: notedsuggestions venue- shd be be close to where most of the Resource persons are staying except otherwise time- period of the year when most people would be free probably holiday publicity- every possible medium sponsors and resource person??. . . but let look at cutting cost to the nearest minimum. |

Ivyluvie2: To me,i think its for a better flow....if u try opening a side, the milk comes out in drops.you get?okay, lets say you have two windows in a room, and you open just one, there wont be an exit of ventilation right, but when the two gets opened, there would be a difference(something lyk a free flow of air)i think that applies to our tin of milk.u get?(what an explanation becos of milktin)#sweating#even many people do this without knowing why, its simply physics |
cheapgadgets6: am stil an undergraduate..entrin in2 my final year(ASUU tins) bt wnt to get d certificatn b4 I grad, can I wrt it nw or mayb durin ma nysc? Tnxduring NYSC preferable. the cost will reduce too since you will be a corper. |

chibzu: Hello, pls i need good answers to this question. I am an undergraduate in one of the Nigerian Universities studying pet. eng. i really want to have additional qualifications apart from the normal school course. My question is, is it right to have additional while in school or after school? and which one would be relevant to my field that i should take seriously?I would advise do any course after your project defence in your final year, doing extra courses during school periods will be distracting. inStead you can be active in other extra-curricular activities like fellowships, SPE, others but not palm wine drinkers club. I have a colleague that finished with 4.46 from physics department, he's case is different Sha, he was running some business to sustain himself thru school. we call him prof. the university have offered to retain him, though he has turned down the offer for now, he believes its too early to be a lecturer besides it will slow him down and his vision. |
Ezegozie: making 2.1 (mostly but not always above 4.0)what if he surprises you with the cash on your birthday after your NYSC. |
education is not cheap o o, at ips you will study for bsome months in Nigeria, some in France, will be put thru French class, internship in total with good pay, then job de sure when you are thru. shell centre of excellence in university of Benin., edo state is cheaper. 1.5million. but your training is only in Nigeria, with internship at spdc with good pay too. by the time you are thru, you will know that it worths it or what you gained was more than the money. we are talking about being taught in standard learning environment with upto date facilities remember this is why ASUU is on strike. |
imag5: 1.5millionHahahahaha, Nawao anyway pls can you help me out with any software even a simple one, hopeman4all@yahoo.com |
I don't think shell geosciences centre for excellence in university of Benin will be that expensive, will find out from my friend |
prof e.o.o:oh my God, will they employ you after the training, I know their curriculum is broad Sha, but the money no be here. |
prof e.o.o:Nawao, was there any sign that anyone among them did their internship with shell. |

yea its ok, as a graduate you will start from HSE 2. |
imag5: Good day house do you know that you can earn millions by just learning signal processing.....as a geophysicist converting noise to real data,,noise filtration doing seismic survey... And you be a specialist in that Area..cheersoga help me na, I have no geo soft to practice with while waiting to pass out from NYSC, just microsoft excel and project, Hahahahaha |
imag5: The guy that got my answer whatsap me and get your 1500 recharge card lol.....I just saw your question, Nawao |
prof e.o.o:hey dear, am also a graduate of shell summer school in PH 2012 set, which school rep came tops this year |
K.K Imoh:learning softwares at this stage is not the best, you are new to this field so let studies start then you will learn the basics of geology and the theories then from your 3rd year in school you will start learning exploration aspects of geology that's when you will understand the use of the softwares. then pray to get a good place to do your industrial training from there you will be more exposed. thanks |
prof e.o.o:if you are graduating with 4.0/5.0 upwards apply for masters at shell geosciences centre for excellence in university of Benin. check Google for details. |
pls has anyone here tried to register on shell graduate recruitment its been on since March, will be closing Dec. pls try and join linkedin and oilpro social networks it would be very helpful too |
