This thread is at 860+ pages right now. It would be difficult for someone to know where to start.
Just read from pages 1 to 20. And pick at random other pages. You will be fine. I joined this group in February. And am not doing badly, because I took my time to study all the pages, even the many pages of quarrels

Hi everyone, I am new to Mutual Fund. Could you please suggest the best financial institution I could trade with from your experience?

However, I would be delighted in investment plan with higher % in equity as I have had enough investment in bond.

Thanks in anticipation of your swift responses.
While you are waiting for the best, people are making money gradually. Just go to your banks and ask them for mutual fund. When you start, you can now ask for the best and move your fund there.

I don't have a Stanbic Mutual Fund account but I think you just login and click on redeem. Then enter your secret codes and get credited within 24 hours - my wife has it.

Going forward, it's good practice to know how to cash out from an investment before going into it in the first place.
You are correct.

Looking forward to invest in the primary market. Waiting for rates to go up.

since i started my investment with STANBIC IBTC MUTUAL FUND (January 2019) They have been consistent in crediting my account with my daily yield.
But up till now i am yet to see the credit for 31st august 2019 and 1st September 2019 being Saturday and Sunday respectively.
i normally get the credit before 8am Monday morning
i tried to get them on phone for possible explanation but no luck, i don't know if it is general or peculiar to me
please anybody with similar experience
thanks
What I experience sometimes is that they credit my weekends on mondays.

Just walk into your bank and ask about Tbills.
Also try and read the first 20pages. Do some research also, because this is your money we are talking about.
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by igbizen(m): 7:26pm On Sep 01, 2019
Is their improvement in MMF interest. I think the Tbill market rate is increasing slowly.

We can't move 50m at once like that.
Exactly. When you think of moving large cash like that, they won’t do it all at once. If you are not careful, the bank you are moving it to will do the same thing. This money m talking about was moved from Ecobank to stanbic.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by igbizen(m): 11:10pm On Aug 31, 2019
The secondary market I applied for since on Wednesday up till now not done. I keep calling the bank officer, and her replies is “I will do it”. I suspect they want to use my money to close out August deposit. STANBIC IBTC why? You guys were not like this ooo.

In order to fund your investment account, please make payments into the account details displayed below:
BANK: FIRST BANK
ACCOUNT NAME: FBN MONEY MARKET FUND/INVESTMENT ONE FINANCIAL SERVICES
ACCOUNT NUMBER: 2027499421

Kindly forward copies of the payment evidence to ccu@fbnquestmb.com for prompt booking of funds.

Thank you for choosing FBNQuest Asset Management.
This is still old school, Stanbic doesn’t need you to send any copy of payment. Just indicate ur MMF account number on the comment/reference section. And your account is updated.

Still available and which bank please?
I don't know for today. You have to check everyday. Its Stanbic Bank, I had to do 128days last week for 13.7%. Just to ensure I don't miss out if any juicy rates pops out by January.

Barrytone:
Secondary market rates also depends on the rates there were bought. Most of those selling at 12% and above were probably bought when rates were about 15%
I don’t think so. We all know when rates dropped bellow 14%. I still have offer of 340 days at 13.9% at the secondary market. That doesn’t add up considering the month rate dropped below 14%. I don’t know what, but something is happening.

No vex, abeg which pastor prophesy dis one today?
Was wondering why secondary market rate is climbing up.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by igbizen(m): 10:57am On Aug 25, 2019
Is it true that Tbill rate will likely go up to 15% by December/January?

do we make money just for money sake ? One should enjoy his life to the maximum while he can. This is my own belief
This your belief has it been tasted over time by people and they still have wealth? Check well those families who retain wealth for ages don’t behave or have this belief. Do your research. They spend when they can truly afford it.

A guy comes from a family who owns an airline and he personally owns 20 trucks. Going by your estimate he makes like 3 to 5 million in a week and then this guy is lamenting that he spent 250k in one night having a nice time with his friends. Sometimes I ask myself some important question. To what end is the continues accumulation of wealth when we are not even sure the day the breath of life will cease.
Ask warren buffet or Aliko dangote this question. This question is the reason why some family remain rich for ages while other are poor or struggling for ages

I normally leave a certain amount on FD for emergency investments. Any money I put in TB is permanent savings.

How can a bank be so cruel, giving me 6% for 91 days fixed deposit of 5M. They will hear from me next week.

Something strange is happening in the market. I suspect investors are moving to euro market including our banks. There is this rumor about global recession. Especially with the USA/China trade wars and Brexit.

i am not an economics expert while you are right with your analogy. It's good to always look at things from different angle and perspective. Global recession is imminent couple BREXIT and USA/CHINA trade wars, other currencies are not doing well themselves and it's good to not always look at things from nigeria perspective only.

like now converting to usd will hurt you though at slow rate ( but still loss nevertheless ), foreign currencies are not all gloomy too.
I think people are moving into euro market.
The EU with the exception of Brexit.

If I opened MMF account on the 03-08-2018 and made my first withdrawal by 03-06-2019 (with a little balance left). Then I add 200k on the 01-07-2019 to the balance left. Then on the 15-07-2019 I decide to redeem that 200k, will I be penalized?

Secondary rates vary per bank unlike primary rates, so if u need to do a comparism U may need to visit as many banks to get their secondary rates.
Even primary rates very per bank too. Its bidding remember. If Bank A bids 10%, Bank B bids 10.3%, Bank C bids 10.50% and CBN rate is 10.50%. All the bids will go through but Bank C will have the highest rate. My opinion.
