Best: Barth Nnaji: He is making the power situation in Nigeria a lot better and he has seet up a plan. He is doing one of the most important jobs in Nigeria. NOce the power is fixed the economy can boom. MOre manufacturing more factories mose jobs, more money to hire more people (beacause less money for diesel and generators)

Worst: Segun Aganga: He does not know how to do his job. He will break his back for a foreign company like Tata so they can set up shop in Nigeria but he won´t help his own car company Innoson.
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala: She is an IMF/ World Bank puppet. She is not doing anything to benefit Nigeria so far. She is making it worse. She is trying to get a loan from the World Bank for agriculture to keep us in more debt.

Government loves supporting Adenuga and Dangote but they need to also help Innoson get off the ground. it is called the infant industry.  I learned this in my first university economics class. Ngozi has a PhD she should know about this too (unless she is a puppet for the west)

It is the culture as well. Women who go abroad and see how people are there, then come back to Nigeria and see women there. Women want to be more free once they go to America or England. So a Nigerian man will not let thm be asfree. He might tread her as a slave. Rich men have the most options and poor men have less options. So it is all about social standing.

Also, men might want the woman to stay at home and take care of the kids, and the woman wants to go out and work and also take care of the children.

Very good points we needto produce more and export more.  THis will bring forex.  That will create jobs as well.  Our rulers don't know how to govern. Government doesn't create jobs, PEOPLE DO.  If you steal from a private company you ware more likely to be fired than stealing from the go vernment.  The government is too big in Nigeria. All they do is steal, we need morep rivate stuff.

Do you consider somebody who has two Nigerian parents who were born and raised outside of Nigeria like America, England, or South Africa?  Would you consider them a Nigerian or a foreigner?

This a a big reason why women don't make it to the top of the CEO level as much.  Balancing, family and work is hard.

Bank9ing is a good place to get started at before you get married, then you can start your own business after that when you get married.  This will leave her with more time for her family.

But since she has extra money, the family can hire a househelp.  When both parents are power parents and they leave their children alone, then their children might grow up messed up and neglected.  This will lead to a troubled adulthood.

If there was a Wal-Mart in Nigeria, then do you think that it would be a good idea?

As of right now, I wouldn't like the idea because most of the products that are in most stores are made outside of Nigeria. This would create jobs outside of Nigeria (probably Asia).

But, if everything in Wal-Mart was made in Nigeria then I think that it would be very good for Nigeria. Wal-Mart buys in big bulks and the Nigerian supplies will make a lot of money. Instead of the people in the informal economy (street sellers) selling in the market. Those people can join the formal economy and start producing more. This will create many jobs. Wal-Mart can also provide many jobs, but it might destory Shop-Rite and the other Nigerian department stores.

So what do you guys think, good or bad idea?

This CANNOT be a bloody revolution because it might cause a genocide. This would be terrible and set Nigeria back. It should be a peaceful one to stop corruption and lessen the useless governments.

Yes good idea. We need more positive images of Nigerians and Africans. We need to make our own news and not play any western news.

We have an inferiority complex, we think that everything abroad is better. We will import cars instead of buying Innoson. We will go to Dubai instead of tinapa. We will go to schools abroad instead of domestic schools. We will support investors from abroad instead of domestic. We will support foreign inventions instead of Nigerian inventors. We wear foreign clothes insead of Nigeria attire. We have western/ Muslim names instead of Nigerian names.

WE MADE THE PYRAMIDS!!! We are the orignal human being. We taught the world everything!!! We taught the Aztecs of Mexico how to build Pyramids, we taught Europeans math and science. We built satelites and other important products. We sould be proud of ourselves and our culture. We were the first doctors, we had the first medicine.

Also, our government is now seeing that we must invest in agriculture, so they are doing that more now. We also need to invest in FACTORIES and MANUFACTURING. THe industries of the future are manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism.

We need to do mass production of rice (5 million tonnes), and mass production of other ffoods, this will create thousands to millions of jobs. THe youth can be hired and become farmers. Everybody wants to be a banker, we need engineers (to produce things more efficiently) doctors, and scientists (to find cures). We have enough bankers.

The people without jobs can go to China for a year or two and teach English while they learn Chinese. Then when they come back they can join business and do business with the Chinese. This can be a plus beause there is high unemployment now.

The difference with Africa and South Asia is that South Asia has POSITIVE corruption. The government steals money and puts it in South Asian banks so banks can lend the money to people in the country. That will help economic growth. African leaders do NEGATIVE corruption and put the money into a western bank so the western banks can invest more money into their economy.

African leaders buy planes that are made in US, Brazil, or Europe, they buy foreign cars, it is just useless.

He talks about how the media is biased to African countries. CNN< MSNBC, FOx News, etc. All of those news channels are biased. You need to have atleast 2 sources of news. Aljaezera isn't AS biased, also RussiaToday isn't as biased. The media is controlled by the government and corporations.
