Let me tell you a story. There was a couple I knew. They had a problem conceiving. After so many years of childlessness, the man's mother start telling the son to get another wife. So it got to a point that the wife came back village to stay with the mother-in-law and brandish what seems to be pregnancy. This woman will choose to come outside the house to brush his mouth. She always came outside the house to sit and greet people as they pass. So rumour started going around that she is now pregnant. After few weeks, she left back to Lagos and the next story we heard was that she has given birth and it was a baby boy. The mother-in-law didn't buy into that trick, she knew the pregnancy was a fake one. This man later had and issue with the wife, breeze blew and the foul yansh opened. It turned out the baby was adopted. The man divorced the lady and remarried. He now have children with the new wife among which are twins.

Back in those days as a manager, my boss once asked me to sack a particular staff. I told him outrightly that I won't sack her and won't tolerate it if he sacks her. Boss was mad and started accusing me of dating the girl. I told him that the problem I have with him sacking people is that the replacement he gets are not as dedicated as those he sacked. I told him to employ three more hands if he wants me to sack the lady. He later employed more hands and still retained the lady. My boss was a strong man, to tell him that he needs to employ a new hand, you have to open eye and yell it at him!! |

matt97367: Dear doctors in the house, I'm a third year medical student in a nigerian university, I got an offer to study medicine in eastern Europe, will it be wise to accept to offer and start over again or should I complete my studies here. My major reason for accepting the offer is the fact that I'm scared that I wont be able to practice (or it would be very difficult) to practice in the country of my choice, because I heard nigerian certificates arent held with high regards compared to others from European countries I just want to know if it's possible to practice somewhere else after completing my studies here with a nigerian degree I hope you will read my own suggestion. Yes, everyone is telling you to leave but I have a contrary opinion. Don't leave yet. Complete your study here, and then seek for postgraduate study abroad. Then after you begin to seek for residency abroad. Whoever told you that Nigerian certificate is not recognized is not telling you the truth. |

Family › Re: Physiotherapy Or Optometry(not A Competition) by iHart(m): 7:00am On Jun 14, 2021 |
UCHIHAmask: you mean you failed in optometry school and got pushed to chemistry department?? ok,i get it,you saw all this things about optometry, then you knew that optometry as a discipline was useless but then, what did you do?strive for medicine?nope, got dentistry?nope, you chose to study "chemistry",that's very logical and reasonable.. now your argument might be that you didn't want to waste 8yrs,(6yrs in schl,1yr paid internship and extra payment/special treatment in nysc),so you chose a 5yr chemistry(4yrs in school,1yr ordinary nysc) just to be quick out of school and maybe start street hustling/trading seeing that using your chemistry degree is impossible in all ramifications..very logical, hmm,if i was you,why not i just study optometry, graduate, enjoy the benefits, stand at a level on the foodchain and at the same time hustle or start trading since thats is what i want.... there are quacks in every field, optometry suffers less, compared to many other medical professions,i don't refer to glass sellers or herb users m as quacks, they are just ordinary bussiness men.
you saw people attending to patients in a drugline in ariara market, what kind of patients?you didn't specify, are they getting drugs for eye treatments or what?if yes,is it from ordinary drug chemist or pharmacist?did they just sell eye drugs and glasses there or do those people conduct eye checks/diagnoses too?is the shop just a drug shop or a clinic?anybody can buy eye drugs, pharmacists can give, optometrist or opthalmologists can give prescribtions for patients and refer them to pharm stores,so that thing you said about quacks in ariara drug store market seeing patients is a bit confusing,or do you mean that ordinary people open clinics,do tests with clinical instruments, diagnose diseases and prescribe for patients in ariaria market?is it just shops giving eyedrugs?or is it traders selling eye glasses?which one is it so i know where to hold you!!!! eye care doesn't cost a thing, waw!!!how should i begin talking to you... optometrist are technicians, waw, even when they are independent primary eye health care practitioners that provide vision care, they also examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases and disorders of the eye!!!!i can never begin with you, seems like you pouring out frustrations. they do not perform surgery, that's true, nobody argued that, but you brought it up in your frustrations, surgery is the speciaty of opthalmology,if optometrist are to start practising surgery, then the branch of medicine called opthalmology would be unneccessary, seeing that optometrist are independant, opthalmologist must Atleast hold an edge in practise over them.. after saying optometry are technicians and that eye care isn't expensive, you still call it a good profession that isn't lucrative, you mixing negative with positivity in a distorted manner, proves uncoordinated emotions, although i might be wrong.. how could you have been in 200L optometry and not know all this,i know 200L is the beginning of optometry school, you couldn't have done much relating to optometry but,i didn't expect such level of debauchery from someone who was once in the optometry school....
now,i didn't say anything about lucrativeness in optometry neither did i speak of it being better that physiotherapy,i 'm not an optometrist, what right do i have to proclaim, but i know things,i see things,i have people that are in this fields(my family are medicals).. I said the simple truth. Do I need to explain to you why I moved from Optometry to Chemistry? It wasn't an issue of failure, at least I finished top in Chemistry during my time. So It was as a result of the fight between my school and the national body about its carrying capacity. About 63 students were disbanded into several biological and physical sciences. Yes, I felt bad leaving the department but I was never frustrated, I moved on. Many of the affected students went back to take Jamb and re-entered opt and medicine. That was fine. There is one thing with life, what you intend to be and passion. With Chemistry I have become what I want to be, so that's enough for me. My family is medical too, when I talk, I talk from well sampled opinion. check out what we do from time to time https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10212890621332419&id=1596481335https://www.aph-foundation.org/ |
Politics › Re: CDS Meets Military Chiefs, Prepares 70 Generals For Exit by iHart(m): 7:22am On Jun 11, 2021 |
Thegracefulness: Agree with me or not, this is unfair and underserved retirement for this men. No matter what political views you subscribe to, if you’re being fair and reasonable, you’d see Nigeria is facing a terrible security crisis that requires all hands on deck. You cannot be retiring Generals at this point in time, and you know why these men are going on retirement. A very flimsy and petty reason. You know who’s behind this.
What would it have caused the President to appoint a competent Chief of Army staff from the regular course 36? Ask yourself again. And then you argue that it is to his discretion. But when a person’s choice, when their discretion is causing so much vile and resentment, and public outcry, does it not show something is inherently wrong with the person and inadvertently their ability to make choices? Currently, I’m yet to see people who trusts the President’s good judgement. If you do, notify me, let me tell you where you belong.
He made a claim on AriseTv, that he only appoints people who he knows. But is the seat of Governance a family reunion? You don’t have to know these individuals. There’s a public service commission. There are individuals responsible for suggesting appointments to you. Appointments generally should be for the betterment of the people. Not to satisfy your familiarity or ethnocentric tendencies.
Do you know by implication, he’s saying all those men do not level up to the substance of the newly appointed vaunted Farouk Yahaya? That’s an insult to men who are older than him in the force, who worked and served their asses off to a country that does not rate them. Nigeria is sending them off to compulsory retirement simply because of what? The Nigerian “Presidency” by is playing with matter of great national security. These appointments are bedevilling. The thing is, if they feel they are seniors, what have stopped them from solving the security problem of this nation? |
Family › Re: Wedding: Would You Still Spend As Much As You Did If Given Another Chance? by iHart(m): 11:18pm On Jun 10, 2021 |
MadelnNigeria: After several years of wedding, experiences and the economy, it's absolutely normal to feel you should have spent less amount on an event or something.
For instance, when you buy a gadget, after several years of usage you may feel you could have brought a better or bigger one. You may also feel you could have just paid less. But you should know, the joy you felt at the moment of acquiring that property can not be taken away from you. And you cannot return the good feeling /happiness back to where it came from.
No amount spent on a wedding is too little and no amount is too much just spend within your limit. After the wedding, everybody goes home and it will remain you, your pocket and your wife you have said it all. |
