britzreus: A church in South Africa is currently trending after its unorthodox way of baptizing its faithful – with their favourite alcoholic drink instead of water - surfaced.
That's not all, the congregants at the Gabola Church have also been given a go-ahead to drink alcohol during church services.
52 year old Bishop Tsietsi Makiti, is the founder of the church and is the brains behind the idea.
Due to the beer baptization, Bishop Makiti’s church has witnessed its membership rocket to over 500 members in just under two months.
He says he was motivated by the scriptures narrating how Jesus changed water to wine.
He added;
People who drink and get baptized by beer are happy and peaceful. This means they are living in the shadow of God. The church accommodates people who are not welcome at other churches.
Its name ‘Gabola’ is the Tswana word for drinking. There is only one branch at the moment but the Bishop is looking forward to expanding it further.
A mild drama occurred early Sunday in Ogba, Ikeja area of Lagos following the mysterious death of two lovers inside a car.
A witness said the man and his alleged mistress, said to be a married woman with kids, were engaging in sex when the sad incident occurred.
Photos of the lovers lying dead in the car have now emerged.
They have been identified as Olowo Lukman Olayinka and Nse Promise Nnena, and they reportedly lived in the same compound owned by Olayinka’s father while he was also a close friend of Nnena’s husband.
They were discovered dead inside Olowu’s car on Sunday morning behind the Nigerian Institute of Journalism in Ogba, Lagos State.
The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the police was awaiting the outcome of their autopsy to determine the cause of death of Olowu and Promise.

DAILY NIGERIAN reliably gathered that 769 “specially chosen” candidates were secretly invited for the interview via a text message on Monday.
In November last year, the FIRS chairman, Babatunde Fowler, had stated that over 700,000 Nigerians applied for the job.
The agency in June last year secretly hired 349 staff without recourse to public service rules nor federal character principles. Mr Fowler had previously been accused of indifference to service rules on employment by secretly hiring 250 new staff. Insiders say that any aptitude test for employment conducted by FIRS was a ‘mere formality’ as names of children of the Nigerian elites had already been submitted for the job vacancies.

BaEnki: OAU Ile-Ife Hostels Are Dirty, Rot In Learning Environment
In as much as this article is not meant to spite the school authority, as bunch of it is directed towards the students, the school authority still have a great role to play in ensuring good living conditions of their students though it seems the students have been left alone to continue living like animals.
Since I've been in this school I haven't visit any female hostel as most guys would have, so my assertions here are based on what I had seen in the three males hostel i.e Awolowo, Fajuyi and Angola halls. A visit to any of the aforementioned hostel in normal weekdays will make you speechless but a visit on Saturdays and Sundays will definitely make you puke. The sight of dirt flowing around will made you wondered whether you're truly in OAU or some god forsaken prison yard, to be honest with y'all most OAU boys behave less than worst animals you see out there, that you'll begin to question yourself whether you're truly in the midst of people or mindless animals.
The toilets will be left unkept even when there is water to do so, the rooms will be left untidy like some animal breeding grounds, clean up the room this hour, next hour its already chaos, there are waste bins around but no one is using them.
I'm using this opportunity to reach out to my fellow students to imbibe the culture of cleanliness, let's begin to reason like humans and do the right things, please make use of the waste bins, clean your environments.
To the school authority, more hostels need to be built, you can't accommodate more than 10,000 boys in 4000 spaces, the toilets are eyesore, they all needed to be fixed or replaced, and lastly we are not animals stop treating us like one. We can't be living in bushes because weren't wilds.

in these kind of situation what the school authority need to do is to employ cleaners, then deducted the money indirectly from their hostel fee's!
