Check the beam,you might not be covered in Gambia but is in Southern Africa are getting it loud and clear. Also what kind of a decoder are u using ?

odilibe: would there be much difference on multi-tv coverage!!astra 2f extended west-africa beam didn't even cover southern africa...while it stopped at zambia.... boycotting kenya and mozambique..it seems like some satellite fta hobbyist down there in kenya and zimbabwe and some parts of southern africa etc..will be doing fringe multi-tv reception..

Barkle: Hi gurus in the house,i'm from Ethiopia. I've been able to track and nailed twenty(20) different satellites in search of FTA football channel. In the past IRIB 3 @ 62e used to broadcast epl, laliga 4free but it no more does that now.right now there r channels that broadcast epl free but they r biss-coded and with my current decoder (eurobox 9700+), no way, it's impossible, so what shall i do? Can there be an uptodate software 4my decoder, if yes where can i get it? Are there non-biss coded fta that broad cast epl ,laliga & seria A. Thanx.

Try to get a strong decoder or any other that has a biss key provision. Biss keys are easy to find

Try to track Arabsat at 32e....then go to your right up a bit...just above Eutelat 36a.Quiet easy for us in Southern Africa

use females .....5 is ground ....twist 2 and 3....2 is receive and 3 is transmit.....reverse 2 and 3 on the other end ....while 5 is straight thru .Just 3 wires are enough....2,3,5

Intelsat 20 satellite separated from the
rocket’s upper stage and continued its
ascent toward geosynchronous orbit.
Signal acquisition occurred at 5:33 pm
EDT.
Built by Space Systems/Loral, Intelsat
20 will provide C-band and Ku-band
for DTH television, cellular backhaul
and VSAT services. The Intelsat 20
video neighborhood provides
premium programming that is carried
by the top Indian cable MSOs and
DTH operators, reaching more than
an estimated 90 million Pay-TV
subscribers across India. Intelsat 20
also hosts the largest DTH platform in
Africa.
Once operational in September,
Intelsat 20 will replace Intelsat 7 and
Intelsat 10 at 68.5° East, and is
expected to have a service life of
more than 18 years.

Ku-band beams, Intelsat 20 provides

unless you motorize it.

Thank you bro.I have come to discover that we can find old Vsat dishes from the AUCTIONEERS.I got this one from an Auctioneer by the advise of my elder bro...LUNSAT who saw it earlier on.I am going to hunt and hunt and hunt and hunt....hunt more fringe birds.Next on the lineup will be Yahsat 1R at 52.E, then Telstar 12 at 15.W and Badr 4,5,6 at 28.E

My day's work.I have managed to fix the 1.8m ku offset dish with a Fuji lnb at Eutelsat 16A and signal quality was hitting 98% on most TPs.Am gonna move it to try Yahsat 1A next weekend

etcwest: @ All i have a wiz-tech 8888 USB HD PVR, i have searched the net on information concerning its function. on its menu it has WLAN and when you press it says no wireless device was found, and also when you press the green button on remote it says CCCAM initializing but cant find where to put the setting for CCCAM. please is any one has information on this receiver kindly help

I dont think wiz-tech 8888 is the best decoder for CCCAM.However, try Strong 4930 HD and you will not go wrong.

Its high time people stopped worrying about SCRAMBLED channels anymore.This is 2012 and not 2002 when we used to run around with SABC / Etv Hex Codes...NO..As for the church channels, I would trade Mnet ot MBC Action for 3ABN or Hope channels.I enjoy these 2 religious channels and would dp anything to watch them.

If all TPs were as strongs as this,then all sats would be reachable...TV Central Afrique tp on Eutelsat 16a

ugasat: Just noticed that STRONG SRT 4930 (S/W Version: 1.25p) has a very sophisticated satellite finder with a spectrum analyzer. While in normal channel viewing, press the green button and a sat finder window will come up with instructions. Those of you who understand how it works, please educate us on the best way to use it. I landed on it by accident while watching the Tour de France on Dubai Sports HD (Yahsat 1A at 52.5°E) freq. 11823 H 27500. The "TOUR" is also available on TV 5 (French dialog) Astra 4A @ 4.8°E freq. 12605 V 29950 and Dubai Sports (Arabic dialog) Nilesat 201 freq. 11785 V 27500. Only Dubai Sports HD on Yahsat has the English dialog with sharp pictures in glorious HD. By the way a number of AD Sports HD channels on Nilesat are currently FTA showing the Wembledon tennis tournaments in London. Enjoy.

Your question is AMBIGUOUS.Is it Ku or Cband?If its KU, a 90cm dish can do while a 1.8m dish can do for Cband
