De Jong isn’t a destroyer. I am not sure what Ten Hag saw that made him pursue De Jong for 3 months.

His defensive attributes are dirt poor, one of the lowest in Europe’s top 5. He’s a good passer of the ball and he can carry and progress the ball.

However, if there were to be a turnover, De Jong cannot do anything to stop the opposition and United’s defence is super weak.
