Last season, City were the ones in the best position to sign Haaland. Probably the only ones that could, given the costs.

So imagine he was at United, with our disaster of a season. He wouldn't have got to City? You're having a laugh.
City wouldn’t bid for him if he was at United - that’s the point. This is like expecting Ramos to join Barcelona.

How's it not possible? When he has a release clause. Bro just agree the deal was impossible.
How many times has a United player gone straight to Man City?

ChristoBam:
Firstly, Man City paid 100m for Grealish but they won't pay for Haaland?

Secondly, you know release clauses are compulsory in Spain, right? That's why they go through the trouble.

Any player that comes to an EPL club with a release clause wants to leave at a certain time. Haaland wanted to come here and leave after 3 years or so. Now tell me why in this world, they'd agree to a release clause of an impossible amount?

You said we should have put in a release clause of 900m. Dortmund agreed to a release clause of 70m. Why the hell will he choose United?
Haaland can’t sign for United and then go to City.

It’s literally impossible.

United would have offered triple the wages Dortmund offer with plenty of commercial deals. He would have become the face of Man Utd with the team built around him.

He'd literally be playing for City now if we accepted the clause.

And how the fvck are they going to accept a clause higher than 100m? This is the reason he's not here. You're funny sha.
City won’t pay that amount for any player.

kokaneprodigy:
Are you going to include the clause after he has signed?
Cos I’m thinking how he’ll sign a contract with a ridiculous amount in release clause, perhaps with a gun to his head.
Your emotion is getting the best of you.
You people don’t understand how release clauses work. I would implore you to go and check the release clauses of all Barca players during that era when they were unbeatable.

Ansu Fati and Pedri(several tiers lower than Haaland) have €1 billion clauses. Messi had €700m clause in his final contract at Barca. Vinicius has €700m clause, Benzema has €1 billion clause.

All what these means is if you can pay the release clauses, the player is yours(no argument). This was how PSG were able to buy Neymar. Neymar’s clause was €220m. PSG called their bluff and they paid and the player became PSG’s property.

halaand had nothing to do with ole.. Its d fact that he wanted a release clause in his contract, and united refused..
Why would United refuse a release clause? If Haaland wanted to sleep with the Queen of England as part of his personal terms, we should have given him.

A club that has failed massively from making good money from transfer sales should have welcomed a release clause.

Haaland wanted a release clause? No problem. Set it to £900m. If any club is stupid enough to pay that amount to prise Haaland out of United, it is good news.

When was the last time United sold a player for profit? £89m Pogba walked away free to another club. That’s how bad the decision makers at United have been.

I wonder how City were able to deal with Raiola but United couldn’t.

Ole and Woodward blamed their incompetence on the agent.

Ole losing this gem of a striker should have got him sacked. The football results shouldn’t even have factored into it.

Career hat tricks at age 22…..Haaland leads by quite a distance.

ETH is also unable to convince Dejong to join him
De Jong had contract issues with Barca. De Jong want the money owed to be paid and United aren’t ready to pay Barca’s debt.

Haaland was a free pass playing for RB Salzburg then. Anybody could have gotten him then. Yet, Ole bungled it.

He created a clean chance for Elanga today and against Liverpool, the idiot missed both.
He should be doing more though.

A player of his quality should be providing 4-5 big chances per game. He was doing that regularly at the start of his United career.

Ole was the problem.

If we had Mourinho when Haaland was discovered, he would have become a United player.

Ole could not convince his ex player to join Man Utd. It’s the most embarrassing fiasco you could ever read about.

We actually need to replace Bruno in that midfield if we're being serious. He's better playing as a striker or ss
Bruno is fine.

United just need to settle the DM position and bring in FDJ.

The midfield 3 should be Casemiro dovetailing Bruno and FDJ.

Casemiro - Destroyer
De Jong - Passer
Bruno/Eriksen - Creator

Remember our discussion?

It looks like ETH wanted to play De Jong as DLP/DM.
De Jong is a cheat code though.

His progressive carries and passes are out of this world.

United haven’t had a player like that since Anderson or Giggs(when he plays as a CM).

Look at this…..

This is bad though.. Even though people will want to argue they are the owner and can spend the clubs money as they wish. The club is investing in itself, not Glazers putting their money..
Very useless owners.

United won on Monday and all the transfer news have slowed down. There are rumors they are already backing out of all the transfer targets.

De Jong, Antony and Gakpo would be here by now if United had lost 0-6 on Monday. These owners just want the bare minimum. They are not interested in competing.

They also plan to sell some of the club's tv rights income like barka. That family is a leech.
Nobody would care about this if they were investing in the squad by purchasing quality players.

United haven’t had a quality DM since Carrick retired. Carrick should have been replaced in 2014.

We still have players purchased 11 years ago by SAF in the squad.

For the 1st and 2nd pix if I understand clearly, Liverpool and United bn the biggest English club. The Glazers have been receiving dividends for several years while Liverpool owners haven't collected any .

The 2nd, other clubs owner have been investing in the club while the Glazers uses the clubs money.??

The 3rd is the interest paid for debt/borrowings?
Exactly.

The Glazers are the only owners who take dividends from their club out of the other 20 PL clubs.

Other owners invest their own money into their clubs, the Glazers take from theirs.

The 3rd chart is the worst. United have paid £500m+ on interests alone and the debt hasn’t reduced a bit.

Imagine collecting a loan of N50m in 2005, you have paid N45m in interest alone and your debt is still like N48m. cheesy grin

That was a stupid move, he was lucky it was Salah and not another players who would have been more aggressive thus creating a scene that could have warranted the ref to act...

He was on a yellow so, it was not necessary...
You don’t get a yellow for delaying a restart.

It was United’s ball. Bruno can hold the ball as much as possible. It’s up to the referee to stop the clock or add extra one minute to the added time.

If anything, Salah should have been carded for dragging the ball that isn’t theirs. Liverpool just scored, it’s United’s ball. Their urgency to restart is not relevant.

This is Crouch

Any reason Michael Owen and Aguero didnt make it despite scoring more EPL goals overall than Crouch
Cahill = 5ft 10
Crouch = 6ft 7

Cahill still cannibalized Crouch to score a header.

Ronaldo is also a very tall striker and has a good leap too. Ronaldo is not 5ft9 like Lisandro.
Lisandro and Messi are the type that stay in front of the line in school assembly
Ronaldo is only 5 inches taller than Lisandro.

That’s the length of a finger. It makes no difference.

Heading the ball is about positioning and timing.

If you are the best header and only 1 cross come into the box all game. What can you do
He played for sides where every corner, free kick, goal kick were long balls. He even had Rory Delap’s throw-in as a weapon.

Statistically, Cahill is a more prolific header than Crouch.

Crouch has had 468 appearances in the PL.

More than double that of Cahill.

Tall strikers score all the time against tall defenders.
