Expert17:When Ramsdale/Henderson wins a golden glove with a defence that contains Young(33), Valencia(33), Smalling & Jones, then you can have a conversation. Until then, you are just wishing any of them can be as good as DDG. |
Expert17:This is like counting goals Mitrovic scored last season to put up an argument that he’s better than Salah. Top division is the true test. Nobody cares about Henderson and this is why no top 6 side wanted him. He belongs to newly promoted clubs and relegation bound clubs. That is his level. |
Expert17:Voted by whom? The same British racists. Then you went on to show Henderson’s penalty stats when the save from Declan Rice was his 2nd time he’s saved a penalty in the PL. The other saves were in league one, championship and under-19 competitions. ![]() You people have no shame. |
Expert17:At the edge of the 6 yard box. School boy error for staying in no man’s land(around the penalty area). The striker took pity on him. Someone like Pirlo or Zidane would have dinked the ball over his head for pure humiliation. |
Expert17:Exactly. It was because he’s British that he even got nominated. De Gea made PFA team of season when United finished 6th. You are talking about Henderson nomination that is done by a panel of British racists, I am talking PFA(voted by fellow professional footballers). No kid in the world aspires to be Henderson. They all want to be De Gea, Courtois, Alisson. |
Expert17:Mark Goldbridge was telling you if De Gea made the Henderson mistake leading to a goal, all you people would be cursing him for being a useless goalie. You thought Goldbridge was praising Henderson? ![]() |
Expert17:Of course, he’s better ![]() When will Henderson step on this stage though?
|
Expert17:He should have backed off to the edge of box 6 instead of committing himself like a bandit. This was a similar situation last season between Martinez and Mane. Look at Martinez’s starting position, see where he was when he made the save. Elite goalkeeping.
|
typicalgamer:If he’s not on a younger De Gea level, why is he even in a conversation with DDG? Did you see the goal he conceded today? |
Expert17:Villareal are a La Liga club, top division. Boro finished 7th in the championship last season. One would expect Henderson to make at least 5 saves out of 8 in a shootout. Henderson made zero saves. He got bodied by part time burger flippers and plumbers. Yet, we can’t stop hearing how great he is. Without a British passport, Henderson would be supplying newspapers to pensioners in Oldham. ![]() |
Expert17:This is the same Henderson that couldn’t save a single Middlesbrough penalty shoot out last season after you told us he would have saved every shootout from Villareal at the Europa final. This Henderson hype needs to stop. He’s a bum! |
JayKayMaybachz:He’s been fit for 6 months straight and I don’t think he’s started any game since then. If he has a British passport, there’s no way he gets treated like this. SkySports panel were arguing this morning that should United have signed Declan Rice instead of Casemiro? Rice without a trophy in his career is being put in the same sentence as Casemiro? That’s the power of a British passport in the PL. Is it true that United want Hakimi? If Murtough and Arnold get Hakimi, I would forgive every atrocity the Glazers have caused the club. I am even willing to forgive them for making Ole the manager. Hakimi is possibly the best right back in the world. |
Expert17:What is happening to Bailly at Man Utd is tantamount to racism. He’s clearly the best defender suited to ETH’s methods. Yet you have Maguire and Jones at the club. Chelsea should come and take Maguire. He would be suited to their low block, 3 at the back system. |
Ellexy:I gave you the Dybala/Wijnadalum examples but you were so keen to underrate United’s pull. The £80m that brought Maguire to United could have also brought Ramos, Koulibaly, Thiago Silva, Chiellini, Bonucci or whoever but Ole(the useless fraud) chose Maguire instead. Let’s not forget United brought in Pogba, Zlatan, Mkhitaryan with a Europa status in 2016. Footballers are mercenaries. Pay the right amount of money and you can have any player you want. |
patrickmuf:I am sure there are better wingers in Europe. The price I am seeing is ridiculous. €100m for Antony? Is Serge Gnabry dead? |
JayKayMaybachz:It would have super-cooked but Woodward and the Glazers are reactive, penny-pinching bastärds. Their activity in transfer window is dependent on the results of the first few games before the transfer window. If a manager wins very well then, they believe the team should be fine for the rest of the season. If the results are bad, they would quickly move to sign players. |
ChristoBam:A lot of factors contributed to this. The poor results infuriated the fans to remember the Glazers. If we had won the first two games with 4-0 each, the Glazers would have closed their wallet. Veronique Rabiot also deserves special praise for putting her son’s wages near Ronaldo’s level. This action pissed off Murtough to enquire about Casemiro. The planned #GlazersOut protest catalyzed by the poor results also got the board scampering around for good signings to appease the fans. I am 100% sure there wouldn’t have been any protest had ETH won the first two games convincingly. United fans only ever remember the Glazers when the results don’t go well. |
JayKayMaybachz:Mourinho wanted a 3 man midfield of Pogba, Matic and Milinkovic-Savic. He personally went to watch Savic’s game to scout him. He got Pogba in 2016 He got Matic in 2017 He begged for Savic in 2018 but Ed overruled the decision. Ed signed Fred instead.
|
Ellexy:Ellexy, who’s the clown now? JayKayMaybachz:If that’s the idea, we should erect a statue for ETH. He’s been able to solve what gave 3 different managers(Jose, Ole and Rangnick) a huge problem. After Jose got Pogba in 2016, he knew that midfield still needed another maestro and he gave Woodward a list that contained Milinkovic-Savic. Woodward saw the list and threw it into the bin. He got a cheaper option(Fred) instead. Casemiro is a dedicated destroyer. Something the team has been missing for so many years.
|
Expert17:De Jong isn’t a destroyer. I am not sure what Ten Hag saw that made him pursue De Jong for 3 months. His defensive attributes are dirt poor, one of the lowest in Europe’s top 5. He’s a good passer of the ball and he can carry and progress the ball. However, if there were to be a turnover, De Jong cannot do anything to stop the opposition and United’s defence is super weak.
|
Expert17:Madrid want Scott McTominay. One man’s meat is another man’s ricin. |
Expert17:Casemiro is a specialist DM. We don’t need to start McFred if you have Casemiro. He essentially does the job of those two players. Casemiro can tackle, intercept and pass the ball from a deep position. |
Expert17:This guy prevented almost 8 goals from one v one situation, the highest in the PL.
|
Expert17:Alisson is a witch. The dude can save the the planet in a one v one situation with an asteroid. |
MRTA7:It’s baffling to me that professional footballers cannot pass their way out of a press. It’s like saying a university graduate cannot read and write. It begs the question, what has Ole been coaching these players in the last 3 years? Even if it means having 5 or 6 players around the box to create more options for the man on the ball, United should do better with this skill. But I already suspect it isn’t about having many options, it’s because United defenders are slow to think, slow to receive the ball and turn away from danger. It’s like they always panic while with the ball and do something very stupid with it. |
Expert17:United don’t have a single intelligent centre half with such skill set. Van Dijk is the master of that art and maybe this is why he doesn’t get dribbled past often. Setting offside traps is Liverpool’s greatest strength. Liverpool’s high line works because they know how to press and win the ball high up the pitch with great success. They also have a sweeper keeper whose starting position is at the edge of the box while the outfield players press aggressively in the opposition half. And when all these parameters fail, they have genuine pace to recover the ball more often than not and they have got one of the best goalkeepers in one v one situations. Just look at their offside trap stats. It’s sickening.
|
ChristoBam:I don’t think he can work with Maguire. ETH will have to start playing Bailly, Varane and Lisandro. If he wants that modern attacking football with a high line, he needs pacy defenders. If he starts Maguire again on Monday, then he deserves to be sacked. Maguire does not fit ETH’s style. Something has to give. ETH will have to start parking the bus to accommodate Maguire or Maguire has to go to accommodate ETH. |
melodyogonna:Busquets is too good. His reading of the game is second to none. He’s always in front of the danger. I don’t know how he does it but his footballing talent should be taught in football schools. Expert17:United should have signed Ndidi like 2 years ago. Ole went for Van De Beek and Amad. A squad already had Pogba, Bruno, Mata but ole added VDB to it to achieve exactly what? If FBI should audit Man Utd, they would find a money laundering ring in the transfer department. United have been crying out for a mobile destroyer for more than 5 years and that position kept getting ignored. |
Mrviktor:Maguire kept a Brighton player ONside. If you don’t have a recovering pace as a set skill, your offside trapping skill should be legit. Liverpool centre halves have both. Van Dijk and Matip can trap breeze in an offside position and when the flag does not go up, they have pace to recover. Maguire has neither - the first goal is Maguire’s fault. If he had stepped up before the final pass, Welbeck would have been offside in the build up. Mrviktor:This one was on Shaw. The distance United defenders leave for attackers to take shot is terrible. Instead of closing down the distance where there would be a high chance of blocking, they back up and let attackers take pop shots at De Gea. Shaw could have blocked that shot if he wanted to but he did not. Dalot couldn’t have known how De Gea was going to parry that shot. Mrviktor:Maguire and Shaw were at fault here. Eriksen was pointing to Maguire to block off Toney’s run even before the ball was played, Maguire stepped forward instead of blocking the run. Brentford found the pass to Toney and Shaw couldn’t keep up with his man. Mbeumo murdered Shaw with pace and with a brilliant dribble to score. Just look at United’s captain……defending like a schoolboy.
|
Expert17:Ndidi and Casemiro are two great options. I just want a specialist DM, I don’t want a CM that can play as a make-shift DM. Ndidi/Casemiro have the highest number of tackles in Europe in the last 5 seasons or so. Ndidi is injury prone lately and I am sure he’s about 33 years of age.
|
Ellexy:One bastärd Norwegian fraud created this culture of rewarding failure at this club. When Jose was here, he called out poor performances consistently from the players. He had no favorites. There was meritocracy in whatever he was doing at that time. Ole came, lied to everyone that he has brought smiles and positivity back to the club. Players who constantly dropped 1/10 performances were guaranteed a start in the next game. The culture of mediocrity was created. Now these overfed, overpaid bunch of idiöts can’t kick the habit. Man Utd is doomed. |
MRTA7:And people are angry that Ronaldo wants to leave this shower of shít? |
