BlueRayDick: Can the government feed them ? The government could not even feed poor and vulnerable Nigerians for a month during COVID-19, yet u talk of the government feeding millions of youth forcefully conscripted into the army for 3 years max…..
Those currently in the army don’t even get paid well, they have to wear their uniforms to save transport fare in places like Lagos just to survive the current economic realities . Go to places like Mile 2, iyana iba, orile , festac side etc …. Most of the commercial bike men there are military and security officers using their bikes as side hustle just to survive with their families .
Where Government wan take see money take care of the soldiers welfare ? There are various ways the government can raise money to feed them. Energize the FIRS to double the current number of tax payers, raise the tax rates as well or increase VAT. Nigeria’s VAT rate is currently 7.5%. It was recently increased from 5% to 7.5%. For a country trying to eradicate poverty, it’s way too small. For instance, UK’s VAT rate is 20% - and that’s a developed country who has forgotten about poverty for donkey years. |

Mikechinos: Lamptey is too injury prone in my own opinion. Sangare isn't someone that we need going forward. Watched his highlights he doesn't have what it takes just little above mctominay. We should be getting Fabian ruiz he's almost as good as FDJ. As for Antony I have nothing to say considering the price being quoated he's overated Lamptey is better than all the options we have got. Sangare is the closest player in style to FDJ in Europe. He’s one of the best midfielders around. Just have him at the base of that midfield and watch him go. Antony’s price tag shouldn’t be our headache. The more money we get from the Glazers going to player transfer, the better for me. They are the stingiest owners around so I don’t care how much they lose in transfer fees. My concern is squad investment. |

onyemaair: The policy itself which he flaunted was a very terrible one. No reasonable human being would hear that proposal and not scream.
"Recruit 50 million youths into the army, what they will eat, agbado, corn, yam in the morning". The sheer stupidity of the statement is obvious.
First of all, you can't have a 50 million man army. It has never happened. It can never happen. The small army you already have is grossly unequipped and you want to add 50 million to that number. You want to send your workforce to their deaths and feed them only staple meals which lack the balanced diet. So you illequip them and underfeed them.
Such a shameless ancestor that should be in a retirement home. So what are you going to do to the jobless 50 million youths in Nigeria? The job market cannot absorb them because there’s no vacancy anywhere. Nigerian universities produce more graduates than available jobs. Russia has a compulsory military service for every male between ages 18-27. I think such programs should be introduced in Nigeria between ages 18-33 for 3 years. We cannot just have an unproductive number of youths in the millions doing nothing. I would rather have them in the army fighting bandits than walking around aimlessly in Lagos. |

raumdeuter: Realistically we cannot get a military regime and that comes with its own problems of human right abuses and nowadays in the day of Twitter and Social Media you cannot get away with. Military works when you have a media blackout where you can do anyhow. Ordinary serving BokoHaram terrorists wotowoto alone will have amnesty intl calling you
We have to work within the current structures of democracy and see what little progress you can make In that case, we shall never have the progress we all seek. This whole idea that Nigeria will turn to Abu Dhabi once you replace the head of the executive arm of the government is a fantasy. Democracy can never work in Nigeria, we are only postponing evil days. The issue here is simple. A father of obedient kids would use his cane fewer times than a father of stubborn kids. Now put that exponentially over 200m people and you would get the idea of the complexity of Nigeria. Nigeria is a nation of stubborn/corrupt people. Without the cane(brutality, making example of people, dire consequences for bad behavior, etc), the people will not change. This is why the Buhari regime of ‘84 was able to bring about massive changes and reforms than what we can ever get now. |

Buhari we saw earlier in Nigeria is the one who ruled by command and fiats. Do this and that and everyone will obey. This Buhari does not have what it takes
Buhari's solution to everything is ban ban ban You cannot rule Nigeria successfully without an iron fist and this is why only the Military can get this country back on track, set the foundations, set the structures and Democracy can take over from there. Nigerians as people are the most unruly, the most corrupted, the most dishonest people in the world. Without an iron fist, you are just putting water in the basket. Just look at the day to day micro-transactions in Nigeria and you get the idea that these army of crooks cannot be managed without infringing on people’s human rights. |

I feel Mourinho and OLe played Rashford to the ground, he was playing with injury most times. Rashford is a shyte player who only had pace to burn his markers. The pace is starting to leave him and he’s being exposed now as a headless chicken. In terms of actual talent, Martial is head and shoulders above but the Frenchman is one of the laziest professional footballers that has ever graced the game. He should have been sold instead of Lingard. His MBE is what is keeping him at the club. Pep would have got rid but these yes men at United don’t have the balls to send him to Sheffield Wednesday. |

The English mafia in the team went to report him to the Glazers that the pressing system he implemented would cause them short/long term injuries. The Glazers took the players side. After that first game, the gengenpressing stopped and the dressing room was divided. Maguire led the English faction, Ronaldo(who was appalled at the low level standard tolerated by the Glazers) led the foreign players faction. What could Rangnick have done? The owners simply gave up the entire season because liabilities like Maguire and Shaw couldn’t be bothered to implement high intensity games. |

We find it hard to breakdown West ham when they go defensive, I don't want to imagine what will happen to a team drilled to play defensively for what ... 10 years now? PSG have all the big names but they have not settled down, the way they play makes the pitch very big with a lot of space. We couldn’t even break down Norwich. Palace gave us hell on our own patch. Atletico’s satanic football would be too much for the naive United players. There’s plenty of time for us to improve though but I would fancy playing against Pochettino than Atletico. Expert17: Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
As a result of this, the draw has been declared void and will be entirely redone at 1500 CET. The PSG draw was an easy draw for United. Man Utd didn’t even contest the outcome, Atletico are the ones who feel cheated with their Bayern Munich draw. Rangnick/Carrick did a good job making sure we topped the group. PSG are the only top outfit in all the teams(2nd position in their groups) that we could potentially get. The others are Atletico, Salzburg RB, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Inter. We cannot get Chelsea(same country) and Villareal(same group). We should be able to beat any of these teams. |

nitrogen: There is no problem. I am hoping this guy starts doing the things we wanted Ole to do, if he won’t, then we get another manager. Thank God he is on a six month contract.
We hire, sack and rehire until we get it right. The model works for most big clubs in Europe. If Tuchel messes up this season, he is gone! That’s what we should be doing.
The players are not as bad as we think, some of them need to be benched so they can become sensible (e.g Rashford and Bruno), some of them need to work on their physicality and speed (e.g Greenwood). Discard the fringe players that are on pension at Utd. We need brutality and less talk from our manager. I’d take the 3 points despite the shoddy performance. This is like the first time we have gotten 2 clean sheets back to back this year. Guardiola didn’t start playing mesmerizing football in his 2nd or 3rd game after joining City, neither did Klopp. These things take time but at least we can see that we are now capable of winning games or keeping clean sheets without necessarily playing well. There’s no reason to panic at all. Bruno is a risk taker. Sometimes it goes really really well and sometimes it can be so bad. That’s what happens when you take risks. It can be both extremes, I don’t know why people are moaning. If those risky passes had worked and he got 4 assists in this game, nobody would complain. What do people really want? A Bruno type that isn’t afraid to take risks or McTominay type that keeps things very simple but without any big reward in the end. There’s a reason Bruno is one of the most productive midfielders in Europe. It’s because he takes these risks which can be highly rewarding or sometimes appalling. That’s who he is - accept him like that or ignore him totally. It’s very simple. |

The whole team just need a better coach to take them to the next level. This is the last I'll comment on this topic, anybody can accept whatever they want. A team went 3 years without a trophy under a Norwegian fraud and you think the players weren’t damaged? Everything went wrong under Ole. Not only was he a useless manager, reports came out that he demands no accountability from the players when they perform poorly. Under Ole, there was no consequence for bad performance because Ole wanted to be in the good books of everyone(especially the English players). Shaw could stink the whole OT with shoddy performances and he’s guaranteed to start the next game. You have put the bar so low for Ole you should have found crude oil by now. |

hoopLA: As colorful as your analogy is, I really don't think it's right. As poor as United's midfield might look, Pogba owes the club a responsibility and duty to at least stand out.
Are we saying that he requires star players to play well? If yes then I think he is a fraud who has been carried to titles by and large.
He is one of the top earners at the club and is angling to be paid 400k a week.
Please count the number of significant games he has had for the club since 2016 when he joined.
If you can give games I can count on the fingers of one hand that we can all agree on,where he dragged us to a won, I will forever shut up on his matter.
Aside the derby in 2018 where he scored a brace in a comeback win, I'm scratching my head to actually remember any other.
The man is a French Yaw Preko jare. Are you talking about Paul Labile Pogba? Show him more respect, boss. He’s always stood out in the Man Utd squad(until at least Bruno’s arrival) and Bruno benefits a lot from his position being close to the goal. The few times Ole moved Pogba closer to the attack, we all saw what he’s capable of in the final third. Top players require other top players to perform to their optimum. Even Xavi would struggle with McFred as team mates.

Joezinho: Pogba should gtfo this club. He claims he wants to win things and be successful at man united, but I don’t know how anyone could look to be successful with that level of inconsistency. But look at the poor quality around him. Kroos has Modric and Casemiro KDB has Fernandinho, Rodri, Gundogan. Pogba has Fred and McSauce. The support system is the problem, not Pogba. We have seen what Pogba can be with quality around him but United move different. Man Utd are the only team in the world that would buy $200,000 alloy rims on a 1977 VW Beetle and expect it to outrun a Ferrari. United have the worst midfielders out of all the top teams in the top 5 leagues in Europe. I can name 5 mid table teams with better midfielders than United and that’s where the problem lies. |
