CapitalCee:The revisionism to prop Pep as messiah never ceases to amuse me. David De Gea was the only world class player at United when Mourinho arrived. The other quality players were either too old to perform or past their peak. LVG qualified for CL, crashed out from the group to Europa like Ole……and still ended up eliminated in Europa. Meanwhile, City were one goal away from reaching the CL final. |
raumdeuter:If this is true, how come City won the title in 13/14 and United finished 7th If your statement is also true, how come United never finished above City between 2013/14 to 2015/16? If your statement is also true, how come City reached semifinals of UCL in 15/16 season while United couldn’t even qualify from their group. Your assertion that City and United had similar strength before the arrival of Pep/Mourinho is intellectually fraudulent. City were miles above United in ability. The only reason they finished with same points in 15/16 was because City concentrated their resources in winning their CL that year and sacrificed their league games. The fact that you can even compare Yaya Toure to Schneiderlin already tells me you don’t watch football. So it’s the level of coaching that made Rooney/Schneiderlin relegate to Everton where they were summarily kicked out after Everton found out they were duds? If City had sold Aguero and Toure before the arrival of Pep, would they have ended up at Everton? Why do you people lie like this? Aguero at 34 ended up in Barcelona, Rooney at 32 ended up in Everton and MLS in the US - but it’s similar strength. ![]() |
elampiro:Mourinho inherited the worst United side since the Gulf war. City had Aguero, KDB, Sterling, Fernandinho, Kompany, David Silva, Hart, etc. City didn’t finish below top 4 post-SAF. United finished top 4 just once post-SAF. The people that said what you are claiming now are part of the problem. |
eph12:They aren’t useless defensively. Fred is the arguably best interceptor in the PL, the problem is the execution when he wins the ball. Fred has the best ideas but he has difficulty putting those ideas into reality. McTominay is an excellent tackler too. He is mobile, deceptively quick and he doesn’t get bullied. However, he lacks the awareness required of a top midfielder. He has the worst eye scanning rate of any midfielder I have seen. He doesn’t know what is around him and that makes it difficult for him to sense danger before they arrive. In summary, to be a top midfielder, you need to know how to intercept and how to tackle(last resort), always eye scan to know what is around you, know how to dribble, know how to pass, know how to shoot. In all the attributes I have listed, Fred is only excellent at one. McSauce is also only excellent at one - this is why they fall short and even their combined attributes still fall short of a top midfielder. Neither of them can play a line breaking pass, ping through balls when opponents sit back, progress the ball(go on a mazy run), score regularly or assist. They are not excellent at any offensive attribute. This is why I said they are both useless offensively but at least offer a smidgen of quality defensively. |
eph12:They are both DMs because they are both limited offensively. It’s not really where they are positioned but what exactly they are offering. Ole uses McFred to shield his back four. If a manager spends £180m in the defence, you wouldn’t expect them to be that heavily protected. However, Ole knows Maguire is hopeless so he protects him with his life. |
LostMyZeal:Words on a marble. Olesexuals are still defending him on social media. They said Ronaldo is the reason Ole isn’t winning because he doesn’t press from the front. ![]() One would think United never lost games before Ronaldo was signed. Some of the excuses to defend Ole are just hilarious. This is Mourinho using Ronaldo as a central striker and instructing him not to run and chase any defender at all. He still won the game. ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGkoLo9_hYk |
MRTA7:He’s done nothing since he arrived, he was just given better players by his employers to mask his stupïdity. If Jose had this current squad, he would have won a title. Ole has spent £180m on defenders and he’s made the defence worse. That is the most grating indictment in this whole saga. Just look at the way United build up attack from the back, Brighton do it better than us. At least, Mourinho understood the weakness of his defenders when he was here. Against the top 8, he didn’t encourage passing from the back. It used to be a long kick from De Gea to Fellaini’s chest or Lukaku’s head and we went from there. Ole knew none of his defenders is press-resistant but he wants to prove to be a modern manager by asking useless defenders like Maguire and Shaw to build from the back. Yesterday’s score line could have been 10 if not for De Gea. Maguire kept getting robbed by Iheanacho near our own box. I cannot count the number of times there was a mishap because Ole insisted we have to build from the back. All these things stem from the foolishness of the manager. And again, this was how Chelsea fans were doubting the players they had under Lampard. Werner, Ziyech, Rudiger, Alonso, etc were all pronounced not good enough by the media to mask the incompetence of Lampard. The same thing is happening now. They are making it seem that the players are not good enough to protect Ole(who’s got plenty of friends in the media). Someone said Pogba cannot play CM. We see him do it with France, won trophies with them. He won trophies before Ole as a CM but suddenly Pogba can’t play as a CM? Is it that Pogba can’t play CM or the manager is intellectual bankrupt? I would go for the latter. Opponents don’t even show any urgency when Wan-Bissaka is with the ball. They kind of know he’s useless with the ball. United have the best header of the ball in attack and he’s not scored a single headed goal from a cross. I insist, Ole should be arrested after his sacking. |
Joezinho:Ronaldo won’t put up with this for long. He’s a winner. He would be shouting at Sir Alex to pull the trigger any moment from now. He didn’t come back to Man Utd to put up with this shit. |
Oasis007:He’s clueless. Just look at the energy and intensity Chelsea are playing with. Same with City or Liverpool. The passing is quick, the pressing is intense. You watch Ole’s team and it looks like a match practice. It takes about 20 seconds to move the ball from the right channel to the left. You never see Ole come to the touch line to hurry the players up to play the ball quickly. This is not on the players, it’s the manager. Quick passing hurts the opponents. Ole’s team is too slow to do any damage to the opponents until there’s an opportunity to counter attack. When the opponents have their shape, Ole’s team is too slow to break them down. |
BARAJ92:We need him. We need all the quality players we can scrap to get this team back to the way they were. We had Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo at some point and still signed Berbatov. We had Cole, Solskjaer, Sheringham at some point and still signed Dwight Yorke. We had Rooney, Chicharito, Welbeck at some point and still signed Van Persie. United are a big club. World class managers would be licking their lips to manage the world class talents at the club. It just happened that we are currently cursed with the worst manager in the history of the club. |
Oasis007:Probably? ![]() This is what we deserve anyway. Any club that sacks Mourinho for a worthless PE teacher(with a Cardiff relegation in his CV) deserves this shit. |
BARAJ92:We need Ronaldo. It’s the manager that is clueless on how to use him. A decent manager would know how to fit Ronaldo into this squad and use him effectively. Get rid of the manager and watch Ronaldo soar. |
Sulphuric1:He should be arrested after the resignation or sack. There’s no way what he’s done to United isn’t a criminal offence. He’s just breaking all types of records. Leicester City have won three consecutive matches against Manchester United in all competitions for the first time in 120 years. |
melodyogonna: ![]() Unbeaten away run is gone The league is gone Carling Cup is gone SAF comparison is gone We told you, you didn’t listen. Any club that has Ole as manager and Maguire as captain won’t win when it matters. Olesexuals, how does it feel to eat mud again? |
TrebleChamp:He scored in most of those finals as well. |
raumdeuter:He’s a winner - compared to Bruno or Maguire or even Shaw. raumdeuter:And they are all winners in comparison to Maguire. |
Oasis007:Ole was mostly responsible for that part. Any other decent manager would have beaten Villarreal in the final. Even Lingard just dropped a bombshell today that it was Mourinho that turned him into a winner. |
raumdeuter:Anthony Martial. ![]() |
Leyqute:The point still stands though, he still emerged as a leader in that dressing room filled with men to deliver a speech that contributed to the victory. If you think it’s an agenda then you are not intelligent. It’s even a better point that he wasn’t willing to accept 0-0 score line at half time unlike his manager that played for a draw in the Europa final and only made changes in the extra time to put in penalty experts. How you can miss the entire message and narrow it down to the small detail of trailing or drawing gives me tremors but I am not surprised. It reminds me of what Sir Greville said: “The brains of a pedant however full, still remain vacant”. ![]() |
https://twitter.com/tunneltrafford/status/1447690064629321737?s=21 Another Paul Pogba motivational speech at half time against Spain. They were trailing 0-1 and Pogba stepped out once more to show his leadership quality as he did at half time during the World Cup final against Croatia. He said - “We have to be aggressive! It starts from the front all the way to the back we win the ball back & we attack! And yes we’re going to run a lot because they have quality players but so do we. We have to keep the ball & hurt them. 2nd half we have to be aggressive.” Some section of football fans actually hold this myth that Pogba performs for France only because of Kante but in the last 2 finals France won, Pogba emerged as a man of many talents without Kante on the pitch. I want to also add that Pogba has won trophies under every manager he’s played for until the Norwegian fraud brought his unfortunate destiny to Man Utd. I think we can all agree now that Ole is the destiny destroyer. If Ole has any common sense, he should be attempting to bring Tchouameni(£34m) to United in January to anchor the midfield but ever since he lost 1-6 to Mourinho’s Spurs, he’s become obsessed with McFred to protect the back four. Even if they sign Casemiro for Ole, he would still prefer McFred to avoid another scandalous defeat. Useless manager!!! |
This is Pogba’s 2nd trophy since United last won one. Maybe we should stop surrounding him with failures like Ole, Maguire, Shaw, etc and get him proper winners in the squad. |
Pogba is the best central midfielder in the world. He took the game by the scruff of the neck immediately after Spain scored and he never looked back. That defensive header in the dying minutes just summed up his performance as the most complete midfielder in the world. KDB, Bruno and the other shiny midfielders wouldn’t have been able to defend like that. United better renew his contract. |
melodyogonna:The comparison to SAF always makes me laugh whenever I read idiötic articles like this one. They always forget Fergie didn’t spend £450m in his first 3 years at United. ![]() |
The GOAT does it again. He’s 36, strolled casually back to supposedly the hardest league on the planet to boss it again and remind everyone he’s their father. Messi fans would be seething with rage. ![]()

raumdeuter:Salah - couldn’t get ahead of MaZaCar. DeBruyne - couldn’t get ahead of MaZaCar. Pogba - won cups for Mourinho, won nothing since. Mkhitaryan - flopped at Arsenal. Hazard - won his only PFA award under Mou. Ramos - never played Q/final of UCL until Mou. |
Joezinho:Mourinho has never been wrong in his thoughts/ actions. His delivery could be better but he’s always been factual and dead accurate. Pundits claim he’s a dinosaur and that his man management is outdated but he gets proven right time and time again. Tammy Abraham got an instant call up from Southgate after 2-3 weeks of being managed by Mourinho at Roma. Mourinho has turned homeboy into a monster in Serie A. Meanwhile, see the Dele Alli that Jose was alleged to have ruined……
|
odizeey:Telles needs a good run in the team before we can judge him. This is Shaw’s 8th season at United. Puke Shaw has been given all sorts of excuses to find form and he’s only had one decent season in 8 seasons. If he was a foreign player, he would have been shipped off 6 years ago. That being said, let’s keep the same energy for Telles, Dalot and the other foreign players that get no fair shake from the media/the pundits. They are quick to condemn foreign players but will provide excuses for the British passport holders in the team. |
odizeey:Blind loyalty to the club you support is clouding your judgment and I understand that. Wide positions are becoming the most important battleground in top-level football matches, with teams so well organised through the centre. Ole’s incompetence coupled with the fact that United have the worst pair of full backs in the top 4 is why United can’t keep up with their rivals. All the 3 clubs above United on the table are featuring full backs who are regularly making underlapping runs, breaking into the channel inside their winger rather than flying forward on the outside. Neither Wan Bissaka or Shaw are capable of this. |
odizeey:Shaw is shit! Patrice Evra didn’t make as much as Shaw as a left back. Evra was always marauding forward in supporting the attack. Football has evolved to the point that full backs are very very important. Why are you now accepting below your standard when it comes to Shaw? Is it that there are no better left backs in the world or the left back position at United is a family title and it’s the Shaw family’s turn? |
Botfuss:Are they the same ones UAE authorities revealed few weeks back? patrickmuf:I am glad you saw the intensity at which both teams played. Ole’s team is incapable of this. This is why Salah and Mane will always have space to operate. Their midfielders steal the ball during transition and send the ball quickly to the forward players. The play is at a neckbreaking speed. Ole is 6 tiers below Pep/Klopp. |
elampiro:So it’s now about how much? The goalposts keep moving to Itshekiri. Few days back, you said United are guaranteed a victory when Pogba is out of the team while McFred are in the team. Ole listened to your advice and lined up a team like you instructed. Only to be completely destroyed in the midfield by Allan and Doucoure. McTominay choked again. What other excuses do you have? Is Scott still injured? Did the wind affect his performance? Was the temperature too high for Scott or did the kitman give Scott the wrong boots? ![]() Your knack for always supporting failure is amazing. |
