Except if you guys were stupid enough not to get tested. i will get more than 3 opinions before i decide to marry someone, bcoz if you got it after we get married, i am sorry but i wouldn't be blamed for my actions

i think you guys are in the right place, not everything has to be about money especially when it comes down to someone you will be with for the rest of your life, and if you guys get married you could bring him to the U.S and enjoy your lives without much interference from your parents.

Because when you take vows you are making a promise, it doesn't say love me and sleep with other women. so if you make such an important promise especially about our life and not fulfil it then, i have the right to get pissed off. and also when you enter into a relationship with someone, the idea will be to forsake all others and i am the woman for you, so why tell me you love me and bang someone else, it just isn't right. you are supposed to be faithful to the one you choose to be with.

i think we take it seriously bcoz its a promise made by both partners knowingly, and i wouldn't want to get some kinda disease because you couldn't keep it in your pant.

okay i wouldn't want to pour sand in someone's garri, but are you sure he is just not using you, how long have you guys been dating, bcoz most nigerian men actually have families back home, they have wives and kids, he might be using you to fill in the gap.
Do you guys share 1 back account that you just wire money to him, if its your money i will say don't give him any money, if he is trying to find a job in nigeria then he is actually planning to move back there, so have u guys talked about that.

My opinion is that he is using you, he gets jealous bcoz he is a guy and he wouldn't want someone taking his girl, but just becareful girl, those kind of men are not to be trusted, most naija men just scam you out of money, i've seen it happen.

Well i don't see why you are angry at your boyfriend, its not his fault, i mean after hearing all those things from your friend he did not up and leave because he knew they weren't true. chances are if he had told you, you would still be pissed at him for listening to your friend or being so close to her, so give him a break for being a man and you are being childish, if we knew everything we need to know about our partners then trust me we wouldn't want to be with that person.

Ultimately its their choice of who they want to be and i pretty much could care less if a Nigerian man wants a white woman.

Now men treat women depending on the way they behave, white women would not take crap from any man, she could walk out of her marriage anytime she is not happy, but Nigerian women who were brought up to value marriage stay in a loveless marriage which makes the man treat her worse. i mean forgive us for trying to give you your respect.

Nigerian women were brought up to think the husband is always right and controls the marriage, but from what i have seen over here white women control their marriages, the guy cannot do anything without his wife's consent. Nigerian women are just too submisive, i think if they could stand up for themselves one in a while, the man is gonna respect them. we don't need to take shit from him just because he is the man, we are women, we need to be treated better especially by our men.

another point i will through out there is the CONTROL issue, Nigerian men are use to being in control, so when they meet a white woman who also wants to exercise some control too, they no doubt even up the stakes claiming they are equal partners, but with a Nigerian woman all they do is try to control her just because she understand or whatever.

Guys una stupid oh, why have a girlfriend and start sleeping with another girl, its just stupid and ridiculous, na you dig hole for yourself, what if she decides to tell your girlfriend about your affair what would you do then.

i get where all you guys are coming from, but wat about people from other countries like japan, u.s relocating to naija and building a better life for themselves, building huge business and making alot of money out of we nigerians. its not like all of you that are complaining haven't experienced the nigerian lifestyle,

As for me, i am going back to naija to make something out of myself in my own country, i am not gonna keep working for someone for the rest of my life in another country, you can't deny naija has alot to offer, if not because of our stupid politician draining naija of all its quality, it would have been a much more better place to live in, but all not withstanding i still think its a great place to show off your potentials and get recognized for it.

No matter how much you like think the worst of nigeria, it is still your country, who else would make it a better place to live if not us, i would say go back home get something going and make something out of yourself.
Most people dwell on safety being the issue in naija and i agree with that but you no be mumu, you know how to protect yourself, afterall you have been doing it almost half of your life before you go a visa to come here, so wats the big issue, abi now bcoz you get small money you think say thief go dey line up to steal from you.

You need to deal with it and stop acting like a jealous lover or you will end up losing her as a friend, you guys were never dating since you couldn't be a man and ask her out, now when someone does you become all mushy and jealous, i mean its not her fault you never made a move so don't take it out on her. and why can't a woman have a relationship with a guy without him wanting her to be their girlfriend. i tell you all my nigerian friends have hit on me and i keep saying NO, then they end up not speaking to me, which is total bull, and not like i care.

but anyway back to the topic, you need to quit hatin and deal with it and possibly move on, she is someone else's girlfriend and the fact that you gave your guy friend the go ahead. but if you can't deal with it then tell her how you feel but be ready to lose atleast 1 of your friends if not both.
