i think there should be punishment for fake and false prophecies. |
QMNIX:He can address as president of Nigeria, Osinbajo is acting. Only an hypocrite would not realize the tension and controversies caused by his prolonged silence. Or under what capacity is he taking pictures? People should tell the president the truth and stop needless sycophancies reminiscent of the Jonathan years. The whole system desired change not just the picture of the president and party. His inactions have for instance necessitated the jamboree publicized visits costing millions of naira. |
CharlotteFlair:What does it mean to die shamefully? |
CharlotteFlair:Anybody can be sick including you and I. Elisha in the Bible was sick and died. Pastor Kumuyi's wife was sick and died, Bishop Oyedepo's wife was sick and almost died. Deziani is sick, Buhari is sick and Nigeria is sick. Nothing strange there. Nnamdi can be sick himself tomorrow. |
CharlotteFlair:What's your joy in that? |
He could avoid the needless controversies and distractions. Millions of lives are affected and at stake, enough already of playwright and movie scripts. It takes nothing away from him to write or give a minute or two broadcasts from time to time. Instead, it's made a national issue to select people to confirm he's alive. The BBOG woman complained about this earlier but she was attacked. We don't need to make unnecessary drama over national issues. He's not a comedian but the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. All the focus about him being in high spirits and laughing heartily is pointless. The country is not in high spirits and sitting on a keg of gun powder in many ramifications. He needs to be serious and decisive, not tell jokes to visitors and laugh in photographs. |
johnydon22:Evidence duh, he has no evidence except a claim. Anybody can make a claim including you. He should do what Jesus did and what Jesus said He'd do. Then, we will consider believing. Believing is not hinged on levels of stupidity or in the air, else your teachers and colleagues wouldn't believe. Believing is hinged on the Word. |
branhampaul:The OP addressed Christians, if you are not a Christian, why are you so disturbed? When did you become the one to define what worldly is to christians? |
Johnnyessence:If you were careful enough to read my post, you would have observed that i just said the same thing that you typed. The governors play to the gallery and leave a lot of problems behind for successors. |
nextstep:Good observation. The majority got carried away by grammatical errors likely made by some graduate aide like them that is feeding on all these recurrent expenditure and doing almost nothing. The other day,, it was Fayose promoting over 9,000 people that do next to nothing. Instead of cutting costs, creating sustainable and revenue generating environment. They owe over 5months salaries and play to the gallery. Any incoming governor would have to carry this burden. Any attempt to streamline or revert would be met with strikes, curses, political gangsterism and pull him down syndrome. Very unfortunate position. |
sonofluc1fer:Of course it does, serious people more brilliant and accomplished than you would ever be don't spend hours daily doing unimportant things that don't matter. Do they? |
CatfishBilly:i don't exactly know what a cosmic vending machine is, but I remember two disciples coming to Jesus with their mother and making a request which He didn't grant. Remember that and reconcile. |
JackBizzle:This is nonsense as usual. It's like saying you want to balance mathematics with philosophy or psychology, not a very smart proposal. They're not equations needing balance. Nature, truth, belief and emotion is not necessarily mathematical or calculation or equivalent. They're different realms of the same life, not competing with the other. 1. The realm of the miraculous is not science neither is it subject to science and laboratory. 2. From God, duh. Man is created in His image, chromosomes are not scarce in Heaven, He made them remember? 3. Geology doesn't claim that there must be earth under any body of water, what nonsense are you saying again? BTW, there's no such claim in Genesis. 4. Divine intervention, duh. Did they claim science? It's science that is yet to find cure, not God. Understand that. 5. Isn't it foolishness to conclude it's such a waste when you've never stepped out of your earthly bedroom as usual? The world is still celebrating landing on the moon, while some boy who is likely looking for admission to school concludes that the universe is a waste? Indeed, folly is associated. |
Charly68:This is an unfortunate mindset. Government should be separated from politics or campaigning. You are carrying a campaign mindset. Real governance in normal places doesn't require grovelling and fraternising. It's merit and straight forward. Fayemi governed by the book, doing the necessary and essential for everyone without drama. Fayose's commissioners, lawmakers and even kings live in fear and continuous hailing and flattering because he can do and undo and get away with it. That's not nice, okay or right. |
friday2011:What does it mean to be close to the pole/people? I'd rather have a governor that provides jobs, education, basic healthcare, good roads and drainage, than have a governor that does none of these but shares money and selfies. God punish closeness. |
Joagbaje:Are there false prophets? |
CHAVINCI:Firstly, we need to look at the passage to actually see what it says and not assume what it says. Firstly, the passage does not appear to say anything about Naboth's children. It talks about Naboth. Here is exactly what it says. 1Ki 21:13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died. 1Ki 21:14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead. Secondly, i do not have the place in the Bible where God forgave Ahab. The Bible does not state that, that is your assumption and it is wrong as the Bible shows that God punished Ahab as stated. Here it is. 1Ki 21:19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine. 1Ki 21:21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, 1Ki 21:23 And of Jezebel also spoke the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. 1Ki 21:24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat. The punishment stated here are (1.)verse 19 "In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood." (2.) verse 21 "I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall." That is, all Ahab's sons(piss against the wall) would die. (3.) verse 23 "The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel." (4.) verse 24 "Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat." That is an ignoble and shameful death, no burial for Ahab's sons. Those were the judgement/punishment listed as four above. Were they forgiven like you assumed? NO They were fulfilled to the letter as will be shown below. However there was some LENIENCY/MERCY shown in the judgement. 1Ki 21:29 Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house. The judgement would not happen in his days or before his eyes e.g like David who lost about two or three of his sons in his days. All the judgement/evil happened still. Now to the fulfillment. Evil did not leave Ahab for instance like the next chapter shows despite Ahab's craftiness and cleverness. 1Ki 22:23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. See punishment 1 fulfilled below. 1Ki 22:37 So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria. 1Ki 22:38 And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armor; according unto the word of the LORD which he spoke. Punishment 2 and 4 are interwoven as it affects the same set of people, all Ahab's sons. Ahab had over 70 sons according to the Bible. One would think it is impossible for the punishment above to be fulfilled but it was. After Ahab died, Ahaziah his son took over the throne. He died in two years in sickness. 2Ki 1:17 So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat King of Judah: because he had no son. After Ahaziah, Jehoram his brother(another of Ahab's sons) took over the throne. He lasted a little for about 12 years and was quite close to Elisha the prophet despite his evil deeds, unlike his father Ahab that was forever fighting Elijah the prophet. He(Jehoram) also died though, he was killed by one of his servants Jehu. That was after he was also wounded in battle, his brother Ahaziah was wounded by falling off the stairs or so. 2Ki 9:24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot. 2Ki 9:25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him; 2Ki 9:26 Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD. As for the rest of Ahab's many sons, here is the account of their death and the cutting of Ahab's posterity. 2Ki 10:6 Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time. Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up. 2Ki 10:7 And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel. 2Ki 10:10 Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spoke concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah. 2Ki 10:11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolk, and his priests, until he left him none remaining. 2Ki 10:17 And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spoke to Elijah. Punishment number 3 goes without saying as it is a popular account but i would post it anyway, 2Ki 9:32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs. 2Ki 9:33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trod her under foot. 2Ki 9:35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands. 2Ki 9:36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: So there you have it, there was no forgiveness for Ahab but leniency/mercy in judgement by postponement. Now to whether the judgement was unjust or misguided, that has already been answered by other even as i scanned through the first page. The reality of life is that man's actions and inactions affect others. Like they say, the leader's sin is a leading sin and the father's sin is a fathering sin. Your grandparents decisions affect you till tomorrow. It affects your genes, your blood group, your genotype, your nationality, your health. When we talk of health history, there's usually the need to know if a particular ailment is in your family because the reality is that that tendency is there for you to be affected. That is the reality of life. Whether that is fair or unfair is not just for argument, neither does it disprove the existence of God as some lazy atheists would want you to believe. If your parents went with the slave trade, you probably may be french today or american and yout condition would not be the same. Same thing if your dad took some decisions that might have made him very very rich or very very poor, it would definitely affect the children. Nevertheless, all these is not exactly set in stone, there is always hope when there is life and a will. that's a long story for another day though. |
Ochinex: essence1:Okay sir, abi. |
This has to be some very poor reporting. About 5000 people may have given their lives to Christ in the crusade among whom may be cultists that testified. It's not easy to gather over 5000 cultists in a crusade. |
CHAVINCI:Good question, I'd be back for this later. On the road. Okay, so to your question. Firstly, we need to look at the passage to actually see what it says and not assume what it says. auntysimbiat:This video is the opposite of the OP. The speaker here was actually highlighting the dangers of exporting yam if we can't preserve them here with technology. |
hahn:You were the one that said that "Only fools believe in things that can't be proven". There was no gun to your head when you made the statement, was there? Since YOU cannot prove that Tooth Fairy don't exist, does that make you a fool? This is very simple to process, stop throwing bland words and blanket statements next time, it's not smart. |
hahn:It cannot be proven that there is no God, duh. It actually makes more sense that there must be a God. Run along. |
HardMirror:You failed yet again to answer simple straight forward questions. When you struggle to answer simple conversation, it shows the depth of your thinking and why you gullibly arrived at the point of misthinking that there's no God. God sent Moses to Pharaoh in Egypt to ermmmm Let my people go. Does that sound familiar in any way? |
HardMirror:Do you smoke? You are kidding right, the devourer couldn't have been this fatal to your reasoning. Tell me you are playing. |
HardMirror:Stop mimicking me and learn. I'm not the spokesman for Christians exhibiting behavior.Face the issue or read and pass next time like many others did. |
hahn:It's unfortunate you had to run to the emotional angle instead of the rational or reasonable. You can easily prove if there's is poop in my head or yours same way a doctor determines if you had fever or diabetes. There are scans, machines and signs that can be used to determine and ascertain this. There are studies and trends on the human body, the digestive tract, circulatory system etc. Indeed, it is one thing to go to school, it is another for school to pass through you or find it applicable in real life scenarios. No need sending a scanned copy of your C6 result in basic science/biology. It misses the point. |
HardMirror:i asked first. You fellas are very averse to proof, yet you demand proof by force from people whose basis is faith. You said God visited His people Himself a lot in the Bible and you cannot even mention ten times. i guess ten times is a awful lot for you to dare. Well, God sent Moses a man to His people Israel. There's the one you ridiculously asserted that i can't mention. Over to you, mention the ten lots of time God visited in person from the Bible as you claimed. My 99 is patiently waiting for your fumbling self as usual. |
HardMirror:i addressed him from his line of thought/reasoning. He said and I quote " You shall understand whom you are when you return to the other side after death. I have seen the other side and I can assure you," He said that he has seen the other side, concurrently the question to ask him is if he died. Comprehende? |
OtemAtum:Errmmm, did you die? You said i would see when i die but that you have already seen. How come? i think i should entertain you today, you must be highly favoured by God in whom we live, move and breathe. |
This government is a very poor communicator, they simply lost the art after elections campaign. Yam season is ending that's why yam is scarce and expensive. New yams harvest are expected from ending of this month to August depending on location/state.Naturally,there will be abundance of yams. But with the panic and rumours being created, i hope there'd be no hoarding and artificial scarcity leading to needless price increase. |
HardMirror:This a lot you refer to, kindly mention like 10 different instances. I can mention 100 from the Bible where He sent men like you said in the first paragraph. |
