There is no non-denominational fellowship. The non-denomination is itself a denomination. All the word rambling is just a ploy to fool the gullible. Most denominations sef claim to be non-denominational or inter-denominational. the so called non-denominational denominations also have branches, its just that because they are a secret cult, they are not well known. But the fellow cult members usually know their locations and times of meeting.

there is nothing wrong with a local church been headed by one person. there is also nothing wrong with a local church headed by a group of people(elders/leaders/prybestery). One pattern is not holier than the other or better than the other. God has many times used one person to lead/shepherd His people like Moses and David. In the new testament also, Jesus wrote letters through representatives of supposed local assemblies. All these my method is righter than theirs is of the flesh, and is just a mote some so-called headless believers can see, while the beam is protuding from all their orifices.

Rev 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
Rev 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
Rev 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Rev 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

no spiritual significance. Faith is what is needed for prayers. some people have or exercise more faith when something extra is done like a longer prayer, or a louder prayer, or a respected minister prayer, or a laying of hands, or use of a medium oil, cloth etc. Whatever puts you in 'faith gear', but be careful to trust and worship God the Giver and not the method or medium.

tislight
from your write up the writers of OT bible were not inspired by God that is the reason why your own inspiration is opening our eye to that fact.

So, according to you the writers that are inspired are the NT bible writers.
i don't see this from my write up, don't know where you got this. Were you in some sort of trance while reading? i stated Biblical facts, it depends on you what you want to get from it, it's not today people stated misquoting and misunderstanding even Jesus. here is what i said again, he that has eyes, let him see.
Jesus has the final say, all power belongs to Him. He is the One who can say "Ye have heard this, but I say". Plus the new testament is a better covenant.
What phrase or part of this above do you not believe to be in the Bible, you may ask your colleagues as well.
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Isaiah 45:18: " for this is what the lord has said, the creator of the heavens, he the true God, the former of the earth and the maker of it, he the one who firmly exterblished it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited, i am Yahweh and there is no one else"

to that you will say no that your own God has a plan to destroy this earth and build another instead of cleaning it for his original plans in the garden of eden to stand but that satans did twart his plans for good so he has to create another earth.
God formed the earth to be inhabited, is it been inhabited? If yes, then purpose fulfilled, don't repeat that quote again. God formed human beings for what? Is that purpose being done? Its a parallel if you understand.

Well, the bible did not tell us how it happen in the days of Noah maybe, and the days of Lot also, but was waiting for you
"Image123" to put us through since the prophet of old were not inspired by God that is why they did not get it right.
Do you take alcohol?
Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Luk 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luk 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Maybe in those two instance the planet earth was destroyed and then recreated.
The Bible was very clear and not metaphoric as to state what and who was to be destroyed in the time of Noe and Lot.

Gen 18:23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
Gen 19:12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides a son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters? and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
Gen 19:13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Gen 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
2Pe 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

You may want to notice Peter's choice of words here again. he doesn't eve use 'earth' to metaphorically mean people. he uses 'world', like Jesus' God so loved the world. All the times Jesus used the phrase 'heaven and earth'
-Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
-Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
-Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
-Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
-Luk 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
-Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
-Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Please which of the above verses refer to the physical heaven and earth?
Christianity Etc › Re: Believe Me No One Is Going To Heaven - Truth or Tradition by Image123(m): 10:31pm On Sep 13, 2012
Well, was hoping to see something from MyJoe or at least ijawk. Now i'll answer fors and tislight, then perhaps ijawk and some new face will come make page length comments on one line out of my post(ignoring all other portions) while fros and tislight disappear as it were. Well, lets see as it goes though.

Only image123 could have come up with such an explanation .

Let us check out the 2 words with our lexicon.

1. Let us check out the original meaning of world :

2889. kosmos kos'-mos probably from the base of 2865; orderly arrangement, i.e. decoration; by implication, the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively (morally)):--adorning, world.

2. Let us check out the original meaning of earth :

1093. ge ghay contracted from a primary word; soil; by extension a region, or the solid part or the whole of the terrene globe (including the occupants in each application):--country, earth(-ly), ground, land, world.

3. Heaven

3772. ouranos oo-ran-os' perhaps from the same as 3735 (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God); by implication, happiness, power, eternity; specially, the Gospel (Christianity):--air, heaven(-ly), sky.

It is clear that this is not referring to the planet earth but the surface of the earth and by application the world and all it's structures, people etc.

There is no way you can twist this to mean destruction of this earth as a planet.
i see no reason for these 'definitions'. i think we are all agreed on the fact that 'the world' can be used to mean the physical earth, or the people, or the system of things like we say the world of sports. Putting that up with some other irrelevant though correct pieces of information is not needed. The issue is that what world is referred to and why? Why would apostle Peter use both words in that passage? Would it read a different meaning is he had said the below?
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the EARTH that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Notice the BOLDED editing, or

2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the WORLD standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the WORLD, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Why did Peter use two different words if he meant the same thing?

There is no way you can twist this to mean destruction of this earth as a planet.

Otherwise, why does God talk about restoration and Jesus also used this word , to restore all things.
i don't need to twist it, it is already plainly stated that the earth will be destroyed.

2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

If the earth is metaphor for people and the earth surface, please what are the HEAVEN and the ELEMENT metaphorically standing for? Please answer this, any/all of you. with scripture references/examples if possible.
If you read my post on Revelation 20, you would see where i talked about 'restoration'. That is the time of the 1000year reign, when there will be unparallelled peace, wolf and lamb fratenising and co. After that comes the destrucion. Jesus was clear enough to say

Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

He weent to prepare a place for believers, not tongue in cheek. After that preparation, He said He would come again, and receive us to that place. that place is Heaven, not this earth. And BTW, where will you guys be, when according to you, the earth's surface is been burnt up?

@MyJoe

1. The words of Jesus and the NT saints should be given precedence over those of the OT patriarchs and prophets, bearing in mind that the prophets did not have the full picture like Jesus and even the saints would. Well, that makes sense. Even though the distinction you tried to make about “the earth” and “this earth” does not quite work for me since if we flip it, it works well for the opposite argument.
Jesus has the final say, all power belongs to Him. He is the One who can say "Ye have heard this, but I say". Plus the new testament is a better covenant.

2. The people adjudged worthy will go to heaven. Then a reign of 1000 period will be instituted during which they will come with Christ to show the world how things should be run. After that they will make war on the earth and vanquish the bad guys.
Actually, the war, if we can call it that, is before the 1000year reign. After the thousand year reign, the devil will gather people to fight, and God will 'send fire' from Heaven and destroy them. Just to correct that tiny detail.

The old earth will then be ripped off. A new Jerusalem will then come down out of heaven. Not sure I understand it after that, but I believe the new earth will then be put in place. Since you say the saints will go back to heaven, who then inhabits the new earth?

To rephrase, here is what I am not yet cleared about. I doubt you have explained it, but, perhaps, I missed it. You say heaven is the final destination and have backed it up with scripture. So what happens to the new earth – who exactly inhabits it?
ithink it was that Heaven is the believer's destination, not this earth. The point i proved was that believers will go to Heaven. If the argument is that they will go to the new earth after Heaven, well maybe i don't have problems with that. But to state that no man is going to Heaven, or that only 144000 will go to Heaven, i have issues with that. i don't know everything or understand everything, but i know that our reward is in Heaven as believers and all believers will go there. i'll leave it at this basics for now. The question of argument is not who inhabits the new earth, but that believers are going to Heaven. That issue has been dealt with, and glaringly left untouched as yet.

@ijawk
You obviously sidestepped the scriptures and explanations raised. Anyway,

So please image can u tell me what d physical earth has done to deserve destruction by its maker??
what the animals did.

I have a scripture for u to meditate on.....

2 peter 3:3-7

3 Above all, you must understand that in the
last days scoffers will come, scoffing and
following their own evil desires. 4 They will
say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever
since our ancestors died, everything goes on as
it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But
they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s
word the heavens came into being and the
earth was formed out of water and by water.
6 By these waters also the world of that time
was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same
word the present heavens and earth are
reserved for fire, being kept for the day of
judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

Verse 6 says the world then was destroyed and deluged by water(not the physical earth as u might be thinking).....
Would u assume that after the then world was destroyed during noahs day ,Yahweh had to create a new earth??

then verse 7 says by d same word d present heavens and earth that are now are reserved for fire....(Would u assume its d physical earth apostle peter was talking about??)

Now image would u tell me if the physical earth wuld be destroyed??or the society of the ungodly??

Please let's understand scriptures with scriptures.....

This earth will remain forever.....it would not be made to totter.....wicked and lawless men would be wiped off the surface of the earth,not the literal earth being destroyed
You should have at least tried to read through my posts, and also to study the verses and passages i gave. Take a sincere look at the passage you asked of me again please.
2 peter 3:3-7

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”
5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.
7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
If you would see the bolded, you would notice that apostle Peter distinctly made different choices of words, 'earth', 'world'. He didn't merge everything and use the same word all through, to avoid confusing issues. The world was destroyed, not the earth. The present heavens and earth would be destroyed. God never emphasised on destroying the earth in Noah's time, as Noah was to remain on earth. He carefully and distinctly said He would destroy man/life.

Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Gen 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

Why are we trying to evade the fact that believers are going to Heaven and concentrating only on the earth. The earth will be melted and the elements and the heavens. they will all be dissolved with fervent heat. How you guys are managing to twist this great plainess of speech into a metaphor or parable is alarming. You and fros should stop this childish display of my verses are literal while your verses are metaphoric. Who made you the judge BTW? fros just avoided me completely, pathetic.
