@OP, seems you're getting drunken on nl, watch it. Let your moderation be known to all men, INCLUDING YOUR WIFE AND KIDS. It's temperance, develop your temperance and walk in the spirit, not in the flesh.
Christianity Etc › Re: Woman Dies After 21 Days Dry Fasting by Image123(m): 3:25pm On Nov 11, 2011
@OP, sorry about your friend. Have to say though that the act was extreme nonsense upon rubbish. Nobody needs to fast for 21days to get a child(well not from God, perhaps from some idol but not God). You don't even need to fast one day to get a child from God, that's a waste of fast. Fasting is spiritual activity, for spiritual requests. Why use a nuclear bomb to open your car, you end up blowing up your car, yourself and the city.

Almost everyone seems to be saying same thing. . .bless & eat it. .santify it & eat!! Wow! I wish i could. smiley #not just used to, really.

And, i have decided to throw this question open so i could learn more and not tag 'unclean' what God 'approves'. Howbeit, just as Papville stated we need to guide our conducts. . . as the Spirit leads.! That's the keyword. smiley
Don't go yet, on second thoughts, i think it would be a good idea that YOU do not eat. Plus, this sallah meat is not exactly 'what God has cleansed' but more rather what you(the individual) has cleansed. That scripture you quoted refers to we the gentiles in the real context, not to sallah meats. In many cases, we shouldn't eat or drink the cup of devils and of the Lord, and if we do, it should not harden the conscience of the giver like has been so done by many this particular sallah.

No, he hasn't. His post is mostly untruths and freecocoa will spot them for what they are. How, for instance, can you say someone doesn't accept the divinity of Jesus and turn around to say the person says Jesus is an angel? Since when did angels stop being divine?A 5yo Witness would tear up what you have written without breaking his stride.
Here comes MyJoe, the defender of the universe. I thank God there are no 5year olds on NL, what a relief.

One man esteems one day above another, let everyone be fully persuaded in his own mind. We don't have to make 'issues' of everything. Whatever inspires faith in some ought to be encouraged, i think. Some take their birthday special and a day God would bless them specially. Some take the first day of a month, some take cross over night-31 December. Some it's a dedicated day of each week. Men ought always to pray and not to faint.

Kabassa77 has given a good post. While there's no church that one attends that guarantees heaven, there are however good places where the probability is enhanced. Sorry JW's not one of them. They have good and enviable fellowship BTW. Their issue is poor foundation. What's the point/good living in a beautiful mansion that has poor foundations? They miss it on fundamentals of the christian faith. They have real issues with basics like been born again, water baptism, prayer, the person of Jesus, the holy spirit, who's going to Heaven etc. I'm yet to see a perfect denomination unfortunately, but JW no near sorry.

More than just the externals, God looks at the heart. We all see the external(don't look back, don't wear that, don't drink this, don't do those). The externals are very important, but they do not save us. We're not saved by works or theology. We're saved by grace through faith. The externals are actually produced, or should be produced by grace through faith. Abraham was saved, Lot's wife was been saved from the world. Context

My sister, it's not on the high side at all. Depends on what you want - and what you can possibly afford. Some people spend obscene amounts on clothing - amounts that look like telephone numbers angry.

You'll also notice that the items of clothing that cost you higher tend to last longer and they appear sharper too.

To someone who wears, say N3,500 pants, your N16k stuffs will seem super-nice - but they won't be able to guess the cost. And to someone who wears N65k pants, your 'expensive' N16k pants look like sack-cloth.
Low or NO self esteem.

Christianity Etc › Re: What Will U Ask Lazarus? by Image123(m): 10:10pm On Nov 06, 2011
These are the words of Jesus or is it Abraham.
""'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"" (Luke 16:30-31).
Do you believe that? There's nothing like God's Word, no stories and fables. There's a reason Lazarus was a good friend of Jesus(show me your friend, i'll tell you who you who are). I find it unfortunate the way people run after such, even supposedly serious christians. All these selling books, making vcds, organising story vigils, and starting a 'ministry'. Lazarus did not do all that flesh stuff. Jesus saves, not stories. Stories can scare you, or make you cry or change your mood, depends on the storyteller. The Word of God does better, it is quick, powerful, piercing, discerning, saving and changing.

The name jesus is just as powerful as the name chralie sheen in times of trouble.

You get kicked out for malpractice. Yelling for jesus when you're supposed to be helping a patient qualifies as malpractice.

Her child was dying and the jesus addict of a nurse was busy yelling for her imaginary friend. What was her reaction supposed to be??

Don't thank your god, thank the paramedics and doctors. Left to your god and his son, the child would have died.

You wonder what scared the nurse in the home?? WTF kind of house do you think it is, a haunted house? So it's the house's fault that the nurse was so incompetent she thought her invisible god could perform CPR?
Sydney Topping, for Abayomi, insisted his client's behaviour had represented no more than a 'bad day at the office' and urged the panel to let her off with a caution.
'Once in a while you have a bad day at the office,' he said.
'I would suggest that on April 8 the registrant had a bad day at the office. It was no worse than that. She has bounced back since then.'

I guess jesus christ couldn't make it a "good day".
The accused denied the allegationS, and the kid is alive. What do you think, the summary is that Jesus helped the kid, gnash your teeth.

Where there's life, there is hope, and a living dog is better than a dead lion. OP, don't be the hopeless dead lion, have hope for your life and for your marriage. Jesus Christ our example is going through a worse relationship than you can ever have, his option out is not divorce. You choose to be like Him or like the holywood/hollywood stars.

It was a prayer founded on God, His ability, and faithfulness. You too can have super faith. Actually, we have the same spirit of faith. But are we praying the same way, or living righteously, with a love, heart and thirst for God? If you have super faith, everything is possible today!

November 3 Psalm 3v6,7

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. 7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Strong faith comes from a trust and knowledge in God. Anyone in Christ should desire a knowledge in God. There are so many 'knowledges of God'. There's the one learnt from school, the one from this denomination and that T.V station, the one from internet, and the one we read of. Even some atheists have some knowledge of God. But what we need is a knowledge of God that is IN God.
It's the kind of knowledge that garrisons your heart. It supercedes knowing some Bible passages in the head or through concordance, centre reference and Bible study. It is knowledge in God that produces super faith. Knowledge in God is produced by experiencing God in a personal bible-based relationship. This is what David had, that made him to say things that are out of this world and the devil's. "I WILL NOT be afraid of ten thousands of people" against me, round about! Many of us are afraid of one old man far away in the village, or some people in our neighbourhood and workplaces.
David's spirit and speech of faith was prayer bourne. It was a prayer of faith(seeing those things which be not as though they were) of a righteous man.

That's about average 2million annually on each imo state primary school? When the government puts whatever they want to put in these schools over a 4year period, would these schools be free? Would it be sustainable outside Rochas and would he need another term? How would 2million annual be monitored in over 1000 PRIMARY schools in corrupt naija compared to 12, even 100 I.T or technical facilities that should impart lives for at least 4years? It would turn imo into some african 'silicon valley' of some sort, and beam imo to the world. 4years of world class I.T education, or even technical/technological brushup, japan-korea-china way.
Well what do i know, just thinking aloud, he's free to himself o, no be fight.
