I am not missing out on any blessings. I enjoy the same sunshine, air and water that you and everyone else enjoys.
I did not miss your post. i read it. But it not address the issue of final judgment bt god. Are You implying, by your post, that final judgment is null and void because jesus has already wiped out our sins or that only those who do not accept the sacrifice of jesus will face final judgement?
Blessings are not limited to rain water and sunshine. The Bible already says that everyone enjoys those, you don't need to re.inform me on that, thanks.
Only those who are not written in the book of life will face 'what you call' final judgement. So, what are your remaining buts?

Nothing dear, it means nothing. Just keep praying, for men ought always to pray. We don't need to ascribe anything to everything, don't get yourself into unneeded trouble.

where's that frosbel of a boy when you need him. If this was about tights and prospets? Let me make some few additions to add to chuka and JeSouli's.

When I was  much younger, I had tried to make sense of the conflicting and sometimes confusing teachings of christianity.  Although these teachings form the core of the christian belief system, I have not gained a satisfactory understanding on the messages. I invite all to share their views or their own understanding on these.
1. We have been made to believe from childhood that Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross to bear all our sins, and by that sacrifice we are saved. It is further emphasized that by accepting that sacrifice, we are free and our place in heaven is assured.
(A)Since Jesus died long before I was born, what sin of mine did he die for
and what exactly did he save me from?
1John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
He (Jesus Christ) died for ALL your sin. ALL as in ALL.
Romans 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Though you may not understand this, like you may not understand the making of garri, or an hepatectomy, Jesus Christ saves from the fiery judgement coming on all the world, which we all are to escape from.

(B). If my sins(the ones I have commited and the ones am yet to commit) have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus, then where lies my responsibility to live a sin-free life?
1John 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Forgiveness is not automatic. i.e not everybody's sins have been forgiven. Everybody's sins/punishment have been paid for, but each has to acknowledge it. It's like money paid into your account, you've got to cash it to spend it. It's no use smiling at the bank alert and dying of hunger and not paying bills. IF we confess, He forgives. Each has his own will and decision to make. Now you begin to live a sin free life because REPENTANCE is connected to forgiveness. To forgive is divine, to repent is human(signed by Image123 hahahaha). Forgiveness does not come cheap, it comes with the price of THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST. (1Peter 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 1Peter 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: )
Acts 3:19  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 2v28 (Good NewsB)  Peter said to them, "Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God's gift, the Holy Spirit.
To flog it more (vote for corporal punishment), if i put 2million bucks in your account, you still have things to do to enjoy it. You don't say "it's my money" and you write on your dairy to withdraw, or you do not sign, or you do not state how much you want to withdraw. It's in your account alright, but you play your little part to get the cash and settle your sorry debts.

2.Again we have been made to believe from childhood that the merciful god forgives all our sins, especially when we pray and ask him.If so, then:

(A) What sins are there to forgive since the sacrifice of Jesus automatically wipes away our sins?
ANSWERED ABOVE, re-read if you please.

(B) even if there are leftover God will judge our sins and punish us accordingly(eternal hellfire)for the sins of our earthly life. If so, my questions are:

(A) What? What sins?
The sins that 'are leftover' obviously.

But Jesus had already wiped our sins away and God had forgiven us for the rest after prayer. What sins are we now going to be judged on ,and why?
Already explained above. Jesus' sacrifice is the propitiation for our sins. It is His sacrifice that appeases and frees us from judgement, BUT we need to ACCEPT that sacrifice i.e BELIEVE in that sacrifice.
1John 2:2  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
If we do not accept His payment, then we'll have to pay by ourselves. We'll pay for our sins ourselves, if we do not accept Christ Jesus' payment, and the payment/wages for sin is death(you can find that one in your Bible, right?)

Would final judgement not be a redudancy considering that we had undergone two stages of forgiveness already? Does it not seem like a betrayal? why accept the sacrifice of jesus and why pray for forgiveness if at the end you are still going to be prosecuted for your sins?
Your question is the redundancy here, ithink. It must be what those people call 'tautology'. Re-read the above(s).

(B) Does it mean that at the end , all that matters is your conduct while on earth?
This is the 2nd question 2B, ithinks? Conflicting questions for 'conflicting' teachings, thumbs up. Our conducts on earth matter, Christ's payment also matters. It's got to be a partnership, a fellowship. We can't do it on our own, and God does not do it on His own, solo.

Ecclesiastes 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
In sub-summary, to fear God is to depart from/repent of evil. To keep God's commandment is to believe on Him, and on Jesus who He has sent. To love God, and to love your neighbour as yourself.

You'll have to find that out yourself.

Hmmm, so you've never seen or known anyone who has conquered himself?
What are the steps to conquest of self, plain lucid maybe numbered steps?

Oh no, seems my 'fears' are being confirmed. The OP's got natural spirit-sensitive endowments, and has fallen into the wrong hands. Just like some've got natural gifts of sighting, or hearing, or reflex, or wittiness, OP's got gifts like the deja vu guy of the other day. Devil snatches such and uses them as witches, clairvoyants, magicians and worse. These are some of those guys that if perhaps God saves them, they begin to talk stuff of living for 300years, studying in the air and water, travelling to asia and whotnot. This is bad, Jesus has to take the wheel.

And why? was he ashamed of the same unclothedness that he created? Does not make sense. And why did he leave animals unclad?
Why would a wise and all-knowing creator created man Unclad and then say "oops" I have to cover you up" ?
An by the way, you are freee to criticise my opinions, but name calling is a sign of immaturity. Did I touch a nerve ?
If other people's dressing puts you under undue pressure(lol), put the blame where it belongs, on yourself or on your creator who ave you hormones. Stop stop blaming women for your weaknesses. Its cowardly. Rather, confront yourself.
The greatest conquest is the conquest of self.
When/if you grow up, it would make sense to you. Most of the stuff i know now from school couldn't make sense to me if i was 4years old, or if i was my pet.
If you were breathing properly while reading that book, you'd have noticed that it was man that was ashamed, not God. And that man made a shoddy work of clothing himself before God helped him out, and made him coats of skin instead of fig leaves. Now, i don't think i'm insulting you but i'm quite sorry if you feel that way. Seems you're not familiar with 'IF-THEN' statements. I thought "if you're not a dullard" meant different to "you are a dullard". Accept my apologies anyway.
Christianity Etc › Re: Divorce Is Scriptural by Image123(m): 12:07pm On Nov 16, 2011
Jesus said NO DIVORCE. He said it was THE LAW that gave room for divorce. When it comes to obeying some not so easy stuff from old testament, everybody comes shouting that we're not under the law, Jesus came to save us. I do not exactly understand how the same people are not saved from divorce, a provision made under the law.

Dressing should cover unclothedness, both male and female. If unclothedness is not covered, the the purpose of dressing has been defeated. Now, na.kedness means many things to many people unfortunately. But a cursory glance at a mad person shows you what na.kedness is. Devils love to go against God, twist God's purpose, and make us behave inhumane. So you'll see a mad person dress provocatively or not dress at all. It's that mad spirit operating on many people today, they do need real deliverance in this case, not all those 'jeun jeun deliverance' that we often hear of.
Christianity Etc › Re: Todays Baptism Method!? by Image123(m): 1:11pm On Nov 15, 2011
plap, it's administration. There is the gift of administration. There's nothing wrong with questioning a believer about his faith. John baptist didn't just baptise everybody. He took note of who came and who didn't. He interacted with Jesus. When he saw vipers come to his baptism, he challenged them. He didn't say 'o this guys say they've repented, only God knows, who am i to stop the work of God'. That's not the work of God, that's why God has put men there as shepherds and pastors, allow them to do their work. The apostles also had their stats. They knew who was added to the church and when. How much more these laster days when even the imam says he's born again.

I'm so not into this, but anyways, (let's push it). So, you're saying the married woman uses her hair to cover her husband. Okay. Is the man's hair not covering Christ, from your understanding/explanation of the passage? Also, if the woman's hair is her glory as well(as written in the passage), is she supposed to 'expose' that glory or cover it?
Christianity Etc › Re: Todays Baptism Method!? by Image123(m): 5:24pm On Nov 14, 2011
I don't subscribe to the trend of waiting months and years before believers get baptised, but seems that's the norm around here. On filling forms and questioning new converts, there's nothing wrong with that. It's for collation, administration and testing. This helps to weed out people who just raised hands on the spur of the moment, or that have not truly counted the cost of following Jesus.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Bible Justified It That A Women Can Go To Church With Her Hair Uncovered! by Image123(m): 5:13pm On Nov 14, 2011
Joagbaje:
It's a marital issue. Firstly , "Woman" refers to married women. The covering of the face in public was a sign of the authority of the husband. it is equivalent to wearing wedding ring in public.
Thought the OP was talking about head covering, not face covering or wedding rings?
Christianity Etc › Re: Where Is My God-given Husband? by Image123(m): 5:09pm On Nov 14, 2011
'GOD-GIVEN' being the operating word/phrase. Firstly, you can give yourself a spouse, your parent can give you one, your friend, satan, your close relative can give you a spouse, God can also give you a spouse. It's best practice for believers to get their spouses from God. If God would give you something or someone as in this case, you've got to be ready for it in His own assessment. Many people are not ready for marriage, and they're asking God for God-given spouse. God would not give His son/daughter to an unserious fellow. So, OP, meet God's conditions and requirements, and He'll give you the best.

Hebrews 12:14

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Holiness is not a night robe you put on once in a while, it is the nature of the new creation
It is way of life for the christian, a part and parcel of him
Although the above quote sounds harmless and spiritual, it's not biblical. The Bible indeed talks about the robe of righteousness, the garment of purity, and PUTTING ON the breastplate of righteousness. What can be put ON can also be put OFF. We're to put on the Lord Jesus. We are to ABIDE in Christ. All these are plain for all in scripture, until some esoteric folks come along with greek words to show us superior knowledge above the Bible. Follow holiness, pursue it, get hooked on it and never let it go. It's not your nature. If it was your nature, you wouldn't be following it.
