I would rather have Silvestre starting in a wheelchair than Philippe "Baresi" Senderos or Song.Gallas and Toure won't get into our first team. . . . .what's with the "mohawk" Gallas is sporting? The Chelski reject will tire in the 2nd half of the season, can't wait for Toure to go for the ACN,Arse have no cover in defence ![]() |
Mc Omo:Who be Gambian Turkey?O'Shea? O'Shea is better than any reserve centre-half Gooners have-Song and Senderos O'Shea is an Irish international and the deceased Silvestre can still cut it when he resurrects. |
He has been wheeling and dealing in players like an antiques dealer. He has already signed and shipped out-Fowler,Nunez,Bellamy,Gonzalez,Morientes,Zenden,e.t.c If Liverpool has a lot of mediocre players, that is largely his fault since he was responsible for bringing in lot of them. This is a man who signed Fowler,Pennant,Voronin and Bellamy. They need to strengthen their defence though.Without Agger and Carra, they struggle. . . . . . .strangely, same applies to Man Utd and Arse. Both will struggle if either Rio or Vidic got long-term injuries or Toure or Gallas suffered same. Its probably only Chelski that can cope with a long term injury to its defenders but even that is doubtful-Alex and Ben Haim are not particularly wonderful. |
Why does Rafa need to spend £17m on Mascherano when he already has enough quality in the centre of midfield? Even if he does sign him,he has to sell one or two of the midfielders he already has. I heard it was the sluggishness over signing Kaladze that ticked him off.He is keen on moving quickly before others get in on the act.Should have kept his mouth shut though. He seems to have a massive ego and needs to be reminded who is boss. |
olabowale:When your religion is an Arab personality cult, you have no choice but to spew some Arabic claptrap. |
The reality is that Liverpool are very much in the title race as any other team. They are undefeated and probably have had their bad patch behind them. Its only in the Champions League that they have underperformed but they still have a good chance of qualifying if they win their remaining 2 games, which is not beyond them. For the Board, they have issues with funding costs for their planned new stadium. Its obvious why they will be reluctant to splash the cash. Its only 3 months ago that Rafa went on a spending spree. |
debosky:. . . . . . .He is fully focused on training and preparing his players. They said he wore tracksuits at Newcastle instead of his normal corporate look because he wanted to show he is nothing but a mere trainer There were rumors he will be sacked because of his whinging, but I doubt it. . . . .the Rafalution will continue.Methinks the problems are related to his ill-advised choice of a new beard. He looks more like a Spanish drug courier than a manager |
your club losting to BoltonWe long suspected Gooners are illiterates. They just keep confirming it everyday. |
Gooners are just damned stupid! Talk of treble in November ![]() |
Andrea Pirlo's freekick was superb.Milan were deserved to win.Cagliari were too negative in the 2nd half. Abeg,Ronaldo really took slimming pills? The guy looks as fat as before ![]() |
@Denex Such is the cretinous ways of Arab wannabes.Perhaps its the problem of "half baked graduates".Bear in mind that the link was dated Aug 2006.Here is an excerpt from the link I posted earlier: Congress has spent $122 billion for Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma, including $87 billion in emergency spending. Here is another excerpt from another link, dating Aug 2007, in an article claiming that too much has been spent:Citing administration figures, the lawmaker said that $114 billion has been spent on the effort to rebuild a large stretch of the Gulf Coast after the storm hit New Orleans in August 2005 and claimed more than 1,600 lives http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/tancredo-slams-katrina-spending-2007-08-31.html So much money has been spent already that some are even saying it is now too much. You on the other hand,in your infinite stupidity, claimed that as of today, many of them have received no help. Anyway,I forgot I am debating with a man who says that Britain's electoral system is the same as that of China |
You miss the point: Beating a 16th placed Bolton shorn of quite a few of its performers from last season (and its coach) should be easier/just as easy as beating a 6th place Bolton.Wouldn't beating a 1st placed team be easier that snatching a late draw against a 2nd placed team? The key point that started all this was that a home game against Wigan is less difficult than an away game against Bolton. You are looking at a home game against a Wigan side that had lost 7 games in a row, including 2 4-0 losses at Man Utd and Spurs.Compare that, away to a Bolton side that hasn't lost in 4 games in a row.Its an entirely different proposition like I noted |
@ I-manGoing by that brilliant logic,Arsenal's draw against Utd was a let down since you won the equivalent fixture last season. |
debosky:@Debosky How can you compare an away game against Gary Megson's Bolton to a home game against Wigan? This Bolton side hasn't lost since Megson took over, even away against Bayern. Its an entirely different proposition. Its a good thing you have 2 away games coming at Villa and Newcastle, our next 2 games are at home to Fulham and Derby |
I guess Cameroun will just fold their hands and allow us to take back what the world regards as theirs. All those war mongers should be ready to volunteer to fight the Camerounians and the French. @Doyin13 You have to give up those dodgy Essex girls you have been poking and report to the war front in case war arises. |
There was an excellent article in the Times about the falling dollar:http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/gerard_baker/article2925872.ece |
doyin13:Theoretically,its possible to have a democratic one-party state, but in practice, its virtually impossible. There has never been a democracy which was a one party state. Fundamentally, democracy is about freedom to choose your leaders and it is impracticable to exercise that freedom within the restrictions of a single party state. |
Dem dey prepare excuses for tomorrow already . ![]() |
denex:Are you still insisting that China is a democracy? You have no ounce of shame. How can you call a one party state,a democracy? The Chinese people don't elect the Communist Party's People's Congress from which the President comes from. There is nothing you won't hear on NL I need to save this page.In UK,politicians running for different parties get elected into Parliament. Before the elections, the Parties choose their leader who will be PM in the event of victory in the elections. Its not a one party state like China and the PM has to win elections in his constituency before he can become PM. Nigerian educational system,na wa! |
doyin13:I think she is a Buddhist nun. . . .Gooners have no moral boundaries |
Jackal:Robin Van Perv brutally raped a young innocent woman. . . .the Emirates is a den of iniquities. Their future owner,Usmanov,is a corrupt man with links to organised crime |
The key thing is that Kaka was moved to name Ronaldo, and not Fibreglass,as the most deserving of the award thus settling the inane debate about the 2. You can't say Kaka is biased against Gooners can you? |
doyin13:Bakassi is not "our land".The ICJ has already given its judgment on the issue, its time we abide by the decision |
Not surprised to see Cesc Fibreglass rolling around like an old aged pensioner. Its in the Arsenal tradition. Wenger's pedophile tendencies has long been known. |
@skyone There are US military bases in the UK and none in Nigeria,so why did you and your cousin migrate to this country instead of staying in Nigeria where there are no US bases?Presumably, the economy should be stronger in Nigeria than the UK. |
2) China runs a dictatorship. Where do you get this kind of talk from? Must the Chinese Government build a Statue Of Liberty before you agree that they are under a democracy? I'm sure you have a very myopic definition of the word democracy, so let's hear it.My guy,you are a slowpoke. How can you call a one-party state anything other than a dictatorship? How would you feel if PDP was the only party in Nigeria, and no other party could be formed? Do the Chinese people vote for their leaders? You have a very idiotic world view. |
skyone:So the US destroyed the German economy? ![]() |
In 1950, Africa's share was 10 percent, but today her share hovers at less than three percent. http://www.globalpolicy.org/socecon/develop/africa/2007/0924aidfortrade.htm Africa's share of global exports now stands at only 2 percent, half of what it was 25 years ago. http://allafrica.com/stories/200711140151.html No region has been as marginalized in the world economy as sub-Saharan Africa, which has seen its share of world trade slip to just 2.1 per cent in 1998, http://www.un.org/ecosocdev/geninfo/afrec/vol14no1/unctad.htm |
denex:@denex You are a complete idiot! My claims are only one google search away from verification. Here are excerpts and links you can peruse: The first problem with regard to trade is about size. Africa's share of global trade is hardly 2 per cent. But it is not only about size, it is also about content.-Sourcehttp://www.africa-union.org/VISITS/Tanzania%20Pdt%2031aug05/SPEECH%20BY%20THE%20PRESIDENT%20OF%20THE%20UNITED%20REPUBLIC%20OF%20TANZANIA.htm |
doyin13:I think that is changing and will further improve with time as their economy continues to expand and income begins to rise for ordinary citizens. One feature of China is this, because its a dictatorship, its able to keep wages artificially low. There is nothing like actual trade unions in China. They can keep wages artificially low for a long time, thus suppressing domestic consumption and thus imports while maintaining its advantage as a highly competitive exporter. Also, most of China's manufacturing base has been in Eastern China where wages are now much higher than in the West.As China proceeds to move industries to Western China, where wages are incredibly low, they will be able to maintain their advantages for some time to come The great advantage China offers Africa is that China's rise has fueled a commodities boom and African economies, largely commodities based, have found a new lucrative market for its commodities. The problem is that this might confine Africa to a commodities-dependent economy. Ultimately, whether Africa industrialises or not depends on the policies adopted by African countries. It won't depend on the policies of outside powers. |
ayanfe:I missed this comment.China is in a unique position in that not only does it compete in high-tech industries with the developed world,it also competes in low tech labour intensive industries.Mauritius for example, one of Africa's most prosperous economies, has suffered as a result of China's competition in the textile industry. China's interest in Africa is mainly resources, isolated examples of planned industrial investment doesn't negate this.China is different from the West in the sense that many Western economies are essentially consunmer driven.Domestic consumption makes up 70% of the US economy.China thrives on acting as a low-cost manufacturing base for the Western world, this often means that they would be in competition with any developing nation trying to industrialise. The unique selling point of developing nations is their low wages, that is also China's unique advantage, apart from a large domestic market. |
